Bad business! Went in to sit and eat as I have done many times in the past, but it was full. I asked the man at the counter if I could have some chips with my meal to go. The parking can be problematic on weekends due to the location next to Aldi's on Weber. Small establishment with good food and decent service but DoorDash orders are being a priority on weekends, and it becomes a problem for people sitting in the booth. read more

Though their food has always been a solid 4 stars (I came here regularly from my work for carry-out lunch, and would occasionally would meet my mother who lives nearby for dine-in), the last visit was a real disappointment. They gave me (and charged me for) a full order of Mexican Nachos when I clearly ordered half order. I even confirmed with the women wo took my order that there are 6 in a half order beforehand, but I think my question (inquiring about the difference between al pastor & carnitas) made her "forget" the size I wanted. I placed an online order, and wrote on the order for a grilled chicken dinner, "no cheese on anything please! Dairy allergy." So whenI get home what do I find? Refried beans covered in cheese. This was our first visit ever to any Taco Dale. I wanted a quick lunch. Wasn't expecting an actual restaurant. We ordered at the counter but were served salsa & chips at our table while waiting for our meal which was also served to us (we didn't have to go up to the counter to get it). There was no further interaction with a "waitress" but we left our dirty dishes on the table, they cleaned up. We ordered a combo meal & it was equal in price to a sandwich we bought at another restaurant. The food was good. Just returned from there with my wife and three grandsons. My first time there. If anything stands out about this place above all the other taco establishments/chicken purveyors/burger joints/hot dog stands it lies in the personnel. You have to walk up to the counter to order your food and the "niceness" starts right there. The young girls taking food orders/serving the tables are the nicest and most courteous people you will find at any eating establishment. We must have come into contact with at least five employees and they were all outstanding. I was so impressed and it is so refreshing to be among people like that. We were in the area and it was late and the kids were hungry. This place looked promising so we checked it out. The place seems to be part of a local small chain - just a few tables. We ordered at the counter and the gals working there gave us a basket of chips with salsa. The food was all fantastic and portions were generous and prices reasonable. A week earlier I paid $6 for a bulgogi taco which was insane - tacos here were traditional and priced reasonably. We were able to make an additional taco from every two tacos. Guacamole was also awesome and the price was so reasonable compared to what we pay in downtown Chicago. Maybe for the first time we had guacamole leftovers. Definitely surprised by this place. Tortillas were made well and tasted amazing. My wife had the Al pastor and ground beef and I had chicken breast tacos. All meats were seasoned beautifully and mouth watering. The beans and rice from my wife's taco dinner was very very good. Side note and something I noticed is that the cashier taking my order was short with me while being very very welcoming to Spanish speaking customers. However it was a very busy time and she had just gotten done with dealing with an ungrateful customer with a large order. After my order the waitresses were very nice and attentive. We will be back for sure. I'm glad we found this place in an area where people are ok with subpar Mexican restaurants. I do hope the cashier is more welcoming. read more

So the food isn't that bad but the fact that they charge you for horchata when you get a fountain drink is super messed up. I will say something next time because if they do that on every order, someone is 55 cents per drink on that! So make sure you check your receipt. BUT the food is ok, but just go a bit further down to Burritos Mi Terra... way better food in my opinion and get more for your money!!! read more

Food was ok. Honestly, it was good but I placed an online order and they messed up the whole order. Two burritos, both with the wrong toppings on it. But I can't say it was good when I had to scrape off all the wrong toppings. Also, ordered a Flan. And upon pick up, they informed they didn't have it and offered a coke that was half the price . I've eaten here plenty of times. I enjoy the American nachos I think it's called, steak tacos, and churros.

I will give them one star for their consistency.....TO GET EVERY ORDER UNDER THE GOD GREEN EARTH WRONG!! It's aggravating at this point! They have a "no refund" policy as well, so they don't refund you for the wrong order. Check your order before you leave! Horrible and rude service I will never eat there again everything started when I place the order over the phone the guy that it took my order was rushing me the whole time while I was placing my order and when I finished placing with my order I told him I'm ready with my credit card number so you can take my payment over the phone and he was like well now it's going to take me longer because you have to tell me since in the beginning that you Paying over the phone.... then he put me on hold for a while then he got back to me and said next time when you order food and wanted to pay over the phone you have to saying it before placing the order ! ... I order from taco dale atleast once a week (try to support small buisness) everytime I order they have missing items.I now send my daughter with a list of food I ordered. Tonight I ordered $103 worth of food and was missing 1 of my taco dinners (which was mine) everyone else eating their food. I called them about it they just said no I'm not missing it because they know they made it, then they hung up and blocked my #. she is basically calling me a liar saying she made it and knows she gave it to me, but she will make it this one time. I said so you think I drove back here to lie about my missing dinner to get an extra taco dinner, while the rest of the food is at home getting cold and she just stared at me bold/wide eyed in the face not speaking a word, and I said so you're calling me a liar.....silence......she then said no I'm not doing that. They have a great selection of sauces - red, green and salsa that are great with their homemade chips (which they serve while you wait for your food). Generous portions are their hallmark - as well as authentic tacos served with cilantro and onions (American style available too). I always get their guacamole which is chunky style and delicious. My biggest regret about moving to Chicago is this place...and well Buchos on Rt 53. This place makes their meat really good and the sweet and salty flavors that come out of every dish is perfect. I've never had a Burrito quite like at Taco Diner. Staff here is friendly, for a fast-food place I'm used to the typical rude levels you get in Chicago during a work lunch-hour. They are always helpful and polite. The place is a little small and sometimes seating is a problem, but during the warm months they have outside seating. The mood is warm and they have a tv which is sometimes tuned into Novelas which is typical for a Mexican fast-food place. Whenever I visit the southwest suburbs, Taco Diner is on the top of my list...definitely 5/5. read more

Ok Taco Diner, what in the world did you all do to the Taco Salad? When I order it it is always so flavorful and enough for at least 2 days. In fact it is usually such a nice portion that it came without the top of the takeout box (just the bottom portion covered with foil). However today, I order the Taco salad and when I opened the takeout box (sign #1) it was a half portion, although still full of flavor and tasty, but a half portion and if not mistaken $1 more (i could be wrong on the cost increase).
