The staff was friendly and accommodating. The owner and Master Barber who studied with Europe's most prestigious barbers, Karena Bertolli started out in NYC back in 2016 with the Art of Shaving where she cut men's hair and gave full grooming, and custom shaves including straight razor to her banker and broker clients on Wall Street.. Karena prides herself on giving a traditional English grooming experience. My bf received a really nice scissor haircut. She put hot towels on his face and used English products on his hair which smelled wonderful. The shop itself is unique. It's broken down into several sections. Each section has two sinks and two beautiful European antique world crafted style Barber chairs per section. This barber shop offers traditional haircuts, buzz cuts, fades, beard trims, and hot lather straight razor shaves, and straight razor head shaves. They also cut kids hair, and can do designs. The price was a bit steep at $60, but Karena did a wonderful job and I highly recommend her. My bf will definitely be back

I…read morewanted to have my hair left a little longer, and the back cleaned up from the cow licks, and then have my beard trimmed and the lines around the edges and neck cleaned up. The gentleman seemed nice enough, but didn't communicate very well - I tend to be more quiet myself but he didn't really interact all too much while cutting my hair. Subsequently, my mustache got trimmed too much, which means it had to be followed through. Like I said, not a lot of communication about what he was thinking before taking action. Overall, the haircut was good, but fell short of my expectations as a barbershop. The location is clean and well lit, and there is streetside parking but no lot. My recommendation is that it's a good spot for a regular hair cut, but if you want "the works" and professional communication, seek elsewhere.

I strongly believe in supporting local small businesses because I run one myself, but my experience last Thursday was the last straw. My 4-year-old became suddenly ill at daycare with a high fever, blisters, and severe irritability. I called immediately to cancel / reschedule his 5:30 PM appointment out of courtesy for other children and staff. Michelle treated me with absolute hostility and charged a $16 cancellation fee without a shred of understanding. This matches the poor treatment my husband received on a prior visit when he asked her to trim a tiny bit more off the sides to clean up the look. She caught an attitude, argued that she followed the reference photo, and flat out refused to help--despite the appointment normally taking 5 minutes out of a 30-minute booking. Michelle clearly does not value long-term customers or understand how to run a child-friendly business. Save your money and go somewhere where the owner actually cares about families. As a fellow small business owner, I know how vital customer service is. I always try to support local businesses, but Michelle's severe lack of professionalism and empathy means we will never be back.

The salon is clean and cheerful and there are toys to play with while you wait. The staff is friendly and patient with children (even with the kids who may cry or scream). They know all kids may not enjoy getting a haircut and they make sure your child feels secure. They can cut hair with a child on Mommy's lap or while Dad holds their hand. The staff is flexible... as they have to be when your clients are kids! Most importantly, they do a nice job with the haircut. No uneven cuts, buzz cuts or cuts that only look good one week later! My son always looks handsome afterwards and everyone (especially him) loves how he looks after a haircut! It's adorable that he feels handsome and wants to look in the mirror or show his cousins his "new look."
