I'm not sure why this place has such low reviews because I had an amazing experience here. I do have to preface that my meal was paid for since I was here with a group of students for our field seminar. I'm sure our program fees covered this meal and our professors paid for the meal.
We had reservations at around 8 and we arrived and there was no one at the restaurant... Brazilians do eat late. They had set up a room for us with a large table and while we waited we had the caipirinhas in different flavors such as lychee, original, red berry, and walnut fruit. All the cocktails were so delicious and strong.
We started things off with a salad. The salad was ok, but I really liked that they included heart of palm... I miss that flavor. Next they brought a platter of olives, salami, mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, and a zucchini and cheese (?) mix. Everything on that platter was delicious and I was surprised that when we finished the patter, they just kept bringing more of it! It was endless!!! Haha... yum. We also had a small piece of ribs and sausage as an appetizer even though there was more meat to come. The ribs were flavorful and cooked perfectly. They also had pretzel rolls and assorted breads, but I didn't waste my stomach space on those!
I ordered a steak medium rare and it came with two sides. One was something fried and it was so fluffy and light. They also had farofa with other mixed items in it. The star of the meal was definitely the steak. So tender, juicy, and delicious. The beef there definitely is of a higher quality than other countries!
For dessert we had a large platter of various sweets, but I was so full that I passed on those. This was one of the best meals I had in Brazil... Not sure about other people's experiences, but we constantly had 2-3 people waiting on us and they refilled our drinks promptly. I miss the steak in Brazil... read more
