I have had the pleasure of working with other photographers and I have found myself coming back to this company. There are a number of reasons I have chosen to do business with the staff. Some of those reasons would be that they pay strong attention to detail, they have the ability to make me (as a client) feel as comfortable as possible and the atmosphere has been nothing but professional. I have found that some of the other companies that have taken my photos, used Photoshop to make my pictures look as flawless as possible. But the "clarity" & time that this company spends producing the final product has blessed me to receive rave compliments & new modeling opportunities. With Daltyn Photography, you can rest assured that your "natural" beauty will be captured.

From the minute he arrived, his great energy was appreciated - since we were running around like mad people. He was thorough the days leading up to the wedding and attempted greatly to keep us on track, with what we had previously discussed. He made great suggestions and really was efficient with decision making, pulling us out for alone time pics, respected our wishes and captured the greatest moments!! John Strauss was an amazing asset to our wedding. No one else would have done the perfect job as he did. Pay the extra fee to be able to choose your photographer from this place and pick John!! Dealing with the company itself was overall not so bad.

I did a ton of research on wedding photographers and really regret going with Modern Image Studios…read more While not everything goes according to plan during wedding planning, this is the only thing that my husband and I are still upset about. My cousin took BETTER and way more shots than he did. We met with the owner of the company who showed us pictures and asked about what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. We were also told we would have 2 photographers numerous times over email and phone. WELL, WE NEVER GOT THE 2 PHOTOGRAPHERS IN WRITING ON OUR CONTRACT SO WE COULDN'T USE THAT AS A REASON FOR A REFUND. BIZARRE THAT THEIR EMPLOYEES EMAILS DON'T MEAN ANYTHING. Our photographer was awful. While he did get a few good shots, we thought we would get a professional that would handle the photography for the day. We had 10 hours of him asking us what pictures we wanted. Um, isn't that what we are paying you for? And if someone looks out of place, aren't you supposed to make the picture look better? I was more than thorough telling our photographer what we wanted in writing and that day. He missed so many shots and we also have 1 picture of important things, such as my husband and his parents. Really?! How hard would it have been to take 2 shots of that?! And although we took staged shots with our families, I assumed he would have taken some candids later. Funny that there are hardly any pictures once we got to the reception! I have a few friends that used Modern Image and their pictures were great! And they had thousands of images compared to our less than 800! I guess I figured Modern Image Studios admitted they should have put us with a different photographer and had another photographer there to assist. Yet, with it being our wedding day, they couldn't do much I have to say that they did try to make up for the awful wedding pictures by giving us discounts on pictures, etc. We said no because we didn't need more pictures--we wanted pictures of our wedding day! After months of tears and back and forth fighting with Modern Image Studios, they finally gave us a small refund. Overall, I wish I would have spent three times as much money to deal with a reputatble photographer. I should not have had to spend my wedding day instructing an amateur on what to take and then being upset getting back less than stellar photos. I love getting a good deal but this was not worth it. *One thing that really annoyed me about this company was that they put out sign-in sheets on the tables for people to sign-up for our pictures when they were available. This is pretty trashy to me and I did not want my pictures shared with everyone. **I used a videographer from this company and that turned out fantastic. The videographer captured so much of our wedding day so it even made it more obvious that the photographer was out of it. This is the only reason they get 2 stars in my book!

Being my first photoshoot, I was instructed on how to pose for the pictures that suited my body type and persona. I was able to see a sneak peek of the photos as we were shooting them. I was surprised to receive my photos within two weeks since they had told me 4 weeks. I am in LOVE with my photos! The retouching of the photos was exactly suited to my aesthetic! My family hired Carasco Photography for my husband's and my wedding which took place over Memorial Day weekend 2014. We initially found them through our venue, Germania Place, on the list of "preferred vendors" and decided to meet Scott and Cara in person to discuss our expectations and vision for the big day. From our first meeting in their awesome studio, it was clear to me that Scott and Cara not only have the credentials and experience as top-of-the-line wedding photographers but they were very helpful in getting me to articulate what my vision for the wedding was. They were very supportive from the time we started working with them (in March 2013 or so) through the day of and after the fact, when photos were developed and processed. We ended up booking Ryan, who is one of Cara and Scott's lead photographers. I cant say enough great things about Ryan; he has a great sense of humor, was easy to work with, and we never felt awkward around him (yep, not even during those "now stare longingly into each others' eyes" engagement photos). We had our engagement photos taken with Ryan and he was great; everyone was very impressed with the quality and breadth of the photos. The same was true for the wedding day, which went amazingly and which was perfectly captured by Ryan and his partner that day, Leland. There is not one photo opp I didnt get that I wish I had; Ryan captured everything and did so in a creative way that truly captured the spirit of the day. The photos were so good that, in fact, my mother who did not order a photo album as part of our photo package initially was so enamored with them that she immediately called Cara to order one. Bottom line: I highly recommend Carasco Photography for their wedding photo services. They are among the best in the Chicago area from a price and quality perspective and you will not be disappointed when you hire them! Cara, Scott, and Ryan: thank you so much for being so great to work with and for taking the most amazing photos for us.

When it came to my own wedding photography for my second wedding this past July, I was incredibly picky - not just with the photo style, but also I know how important it is that our personalities aligned, and I wanted someone who was very organized and had some fun ideas! My best friend (who is also a pro photographer) found Mel online and we were both so excited, it was worth all the months of research and comparing and contrasting. Our engagement session was so much fun - her personality was perfect and the style of the images was exactly what we wanted (fun, carefree but professional and flattering angles and poses). After receiving the images back I wrote Mel and said, "We are so excited and the more and more we look at the engagement pictures (I just made the signature album) I am so happy that you are our wedding photographer. It's nice to not have to worry about the vendors you trust and know!" Mel was very organized and detail oriented with the wedding schedule and meetings ahead of time. The day of the wedding she kept everything going right on time in a very stress-free way. Mel and Lexi were an incredible team - their personalities were so fun, but they were also very professional. After receiving the wedding images back I wrote Mel and said, "These are gorgeous! Thank you so much, you and Lexi were amazing, the perfect team! From start to finish you made sure everything was on time and flawless, I appreciate that so much. You captured so many beautiful moments, thank you so much! The images were complete magic!! Exactly what I wanted!!" The images were edited beautifully, the poses were flattering, and they really showed our fun personalities of us, family, and friends!
