I have become a big fan of the CX (Centennial Express) lately. I have been using this mode of public transport to make my way to #DTLV for Jazz in the Park #JITP, Container Park or Learning Village, or for a fun night out on the town with many adult beverages. The station is very safe with a security guard posted up near the building or rolling on a bike. Parking is a plenty for this Park and Ride at least when I am trying to make my way downtown for and evening of fun. The CX takes no longer than 20 minutes to get to #DTLV. If you stay along for the ride it will take you to UNLV and even to the airport. The total time for that journey will take about an hour. I have seen many people toting their luggage on the bus to avoid the parking fees at the Airport lots. Smart! This is also why I use the CX for Downtown. In a city where free parking is abundant the only place they charge for parking is near the entertainment district and Fremont East. Boo hiss to this! The Ride to Downtown takes just as long as driving your car but only cost you $2.00 each way. After parking the car in the lot I bring my Trikke Electric vehicle and roll that right where the wheelchairs park on the Bus. The first stop on this route lets me off right at Fremont St. and Casino Center outside Binnion's. From there I take my personal transportation device aka Trikke and I can get just about everywhere in just a few more minutes depending on how many traffic lights impede my progress. This allows me a little more freedom while downtown without having to walk. A Two Dollar fare is much less expensive than a DUI and safer. Next time you need to head downtown, consider using the CX.

    The side of the building.

I don't use the Park & Ride for taking the bus. This is a meet up spot sometimes for when we hike at Mount Charleston. There is ample parking with two large lots. The bus waiting area has always been very clean and attractive. The bathrooms in the building are convenient and have always been clean. My friend arrived yesterday and left his bike in one of the bike stands and off we were. This is a really convenient spot to meet and then get back on the freeway for going to Mount Charleston.

Used this parking facility because we visited the Flyover for New Year's Eve. Signs everywhere…read morestated you needed a smart phone to pay. My three adult kids and I were there for about two hours and we were charged $16.50. We had to scan a QR code and then enter credit card information in order to pay when leaving the parking garage, no problem entering the garage at all the gate just went up. This will be problematic for many people who do not have smart phones, are using androids or cannot enter credit card information. This would be a real mess on super busy days. Luckily for us New Year's Eve afternoon was not busy at the showcase mall parking.

We parked in this parking garage while going to the Nathan Burton show (same place as the Flyover.)…read more Entering it was easy (other than waiting for a lot of pedestrians at the entrance) and there were parking spaces available. I used the QR code to register my parking (license plate number, credit card number). The issue was when we were leaving we followed the Exit sign to the gates. It's supposed to read your license plate and you can drive on through. It was confusing because there were about four lanes and there was a sign over the left ones saying "Compact cars". We went in the far right one which didn't seem for compact cars as we were in a Ford F-150. Also, we never saw any other options for exiting. The car in front of us had to call for assistance since the gate wasn't opening and when the woman came to help them, she directed us to the next lane over. We went through and all lanes went through the the same exit area. It was VERY narrow and had a big curve in it. We went as slow and careful as possible but it was impossible for our truck to make the turn without rubbing on the concrete wall. The truck got badly scraped. There really wasn't any way to backup and exit. Surely there is another way to exit but we sure didn't see it and the person should have warned us not to go that way.

Who just wants to have fun! Let's go to the mall!!…read more I remember when I was younger it was let's hit the mall for fun times. Then as my children were growing up we gathered at the mall too. Then the stimulation of the mall went away. The stores had nothing new and fresh. Now after visiting the mall in the last year, Fashion show has started to become different and offer more opportunities to have fun with those around you . They inspire one's imagination with small road trip displays that drag your imagination into perspective. Did you know that you can visit the North Pole? Right from Vegas? Even see Santa? An individual can even phone Santa from a playful private pay phone. No quarters needed! The possibilities here at Fashion Show are unbelievable. Take photo by the tree. The reindeer were unable for this trip. After all that fun at the North Pole, what did you truly come for? What are you looking for you will find it here? They offer the major stores: Neiman, Saks, Nordstrom's, and Macys for all those fabulous designer items. If it's that turquoise box your seeking Tiffany's is here too. They even have new toys stores to keep the little ones busy. Come and build that new magical friend at Build A Bear and enchant it and bring it to life with your magic. It's a beautiful enchanting experience for the whole family, no matter what your age. After all that shopping and having fun it's time to grab a bite to eat. Let's decide where to eat there are so many epic places and options. You can have things like pizza or choose to eat higher class. The choices are endless . My favorite little alcove is inside Neiman Marcus . The restaurant has it all. You have drinks, great eats, perfect service and views of all around the strip . What's not to love? The themed restaurant inside Neiman Marcus has winged butterflies. Let's see what we can find perfects a pinch of sparkling joy too! Shall we continue!

Boy was I disappointed in Fashion Show mall. Yes, the mall…read morehas tons of stores. But this mall is kind of a dud. It was dead. Granted, I haven't been shopping at the mall in a while (rather buy online), but this particular visit, my Mom and I were dress shopping for a wedding. Honestly, the stores in Fashion Show had NOTHING. Not even the big retailers. Staff working in the stores we did visit, were not friendly either. I should've just gone to the Forum Shops. On the plus side, the mall is super clean.
