RTC was great. Each Driver was kind and helpful to my friend that traveled with me that required assisance on and off of the vehicle. Each one assisted her with great care. Everybody hates their fucking job apparently & even getting them to do their job is too much. On Feb. 17, 2026 @ 12:11pm I called the RTC-Customer Service (702)228-4800 asking questions about possibly canceling a pick for my niece since the bus will arrive after the program closes. Spoke to Ms. Yvonne asking about the pick up time. While my Sister chimed in about about not caneling and maybe just going to the location and waiting with her so we wouldn't incur a penalty. Yvonne whom was very impatient just hung up on us. She canceled the ride without offering options for the future. She clearly hates her job. Usually, the person on the other end is very nice. I understand they are transitioning systems. The old app allowed you to cancel a ride. The customer service staff prior to 2025 were witches, but since then staff has been nicer and more helpful. Today, I called to unexpectedly help my son to cancel his afternoon ride. The answering message is if you don't have the ID, you hit #, so I did..I got a lecture about writing the number down for myself and then she just kept talking over me. Women and children aren't off limits for mistreatment at the RTC bus transit company. It is February 20, 2026 and I only have been in Nevada for about 2 weeks from Texas. I never been so utterly disrespected before in Nevada because It took me about 3 hours to get on the correct bus to head home with my infant. At Bus 105 around 3:45 at stop 1662 or 1663 the bus driver got mad at me for my TRansfer pass not working and not able to pay with my other bus pass. Teenagers laughing at me in the background because of how RTC workers handled us. He told me to take my baby out and I said okay and mention I'd fold the stroller. He was getting aggravated with me because of a bus TRANSFER? He didn't allow me to use another pass and told me to step back and get off the bus. He said mam with a tone and left me and my baby in a 40 degree weather trying to get us to wait for the next bus. My baby was already sneezing and he didn't consider the two teenage kids that was behind me with their mother because my existence bothered him. We all go through things. About time people start defending women and children because men like that will start being okay with mistreating us with no consequences. I talked to the Manager and he was trying to rush me when I was explaining and he gave me another transfer but as I proceeded to walk away to caught my last bus home he goes tell another driver that he doesn't think I told the truth because my transfer pass was about 3hours ago. Are the Rtc workers lacking knowledge of how long it takes to wait for a bus or let alone travel in the bus. He didn't even consider how long I had to walk, routes I missed, and how long I actually had to wait to get on 105. I am here to validate to every RTC Paratransit Service rider, even the ones that pay online for there passes that yes you are not crazy at all. it is not you. I spoke with a member of management today and this is an excessive organized terroristical issue. I experience terrible mistreatment and I am very coherent. I am 33 and only need these services because of a medical ride I need 3 times a week for dialysis which this is usually a main form of go to for most dialysis patients that don't have healthy family support and need independence away from toxic family and/or not having family help to begin with. yes, calling in is like pulling teeth out. I always try to book online in advance so I don't ever have to call in. calling in I am met with back to back representatives that either complain they can't hear me and then hangs up, automated recording that they have an excessive high call volume and are unable to take my call and then hangs up on me and I have to call back, there have been plenty of times where it would happen from 4pm to 6pm straight to where I was put into a. Situation where I had to wake up excessively early to try to call in and book early next morning for a same day medical ride and I would be met with what I would describe phonetic excessive Psy op levels of organized terrorism. If it wasn't an extremely disrespectful and rude worker, it would be someone else hanging up on me and trying to book the same ride for over 2 hours being excessively hung up on, being told they couldn't hear me, being transfered to same day ride booking just to be auto pilot hung up on, Being put on hold for over an hour, it has happened to me many times, I have even gotten representatives that are extremely disregarding and when I express the seriousness of needing to speak to a member of management the issues I endure of being told there not available would excessively happen and there has been times where the issues I would experience would be so beyond gas light and excessive that trying to book a simple round trip ride would turn into an all out phonetic war over the phone and on a bad day of having to call in I would find myself hitting the 2 hour mark of over and over and over and over having to call back repeatedly to the point that it was like wtfffff? This can't be real. I am here to tell you they you are not the only ones experiencing this terrorism like behavior and RTC Para transit making claims that there service is of high quality. It's not. There gas lighting the disabled and playing on alot of people's tops. I have been forced Into having to use this service for years because it's my only form of transportation and you are not crazy. you are not frustrated for no reason. I promise you. yes every negative experience is really happening to you. yes the RTC Para transit staff running the phone lines are terrible and many are probably wishing karma on them all and all the management excuses are is that they are short staff. Alot of there associates probably end up quitting because they end up being the front liners of RTC Paratransits karma for there mistreatment of the disabled and the civilians that need these ride services for medical transportation. We use RTC paratransit for pick up and drop off for my disabled senior father. My work schedule is not flexible (8-4pm) and without this service my father would spend most of his day in front of the TV. The idea of this service is good but the reality of use can described as a fallacy. The ride home from daycare is good but the pick up is COMPLETELY UNDEPENDABLE. They can be up to an hour late with no recourse and when you call to find out what is going on, their last of compassion, politeness, empathy and accountability INFUSES the problem RATHER THAN defuse it. No one cares about you or your loved ones, especially "Evon" with dispatch!!! This service promotes stress and worry. I am ashamed that my tax dollars goes to a service that lacks such accountability for those in need. Passing the buck at this company is their trade stamp. Someone needs to audit and revamp this RTC system and provide competent customer service training. read more

They ask you what time you have to be somewhere, then they pick up and drop off several people along the way with ABSOLUTELY no regards to your appointment time. I have used this service since 2020 and the only time I get to my destination on time is when I lie and tell them I have to be somewhere 30 minutes to an hour before. It sucks that people depend on these ride for medical appointments and they don't care at all if you get there on time. I missed my appointment today with the eye specialist because my driver was late picking me up the picked up and dropped off 2 people before arriving 31 minutes late to my Appointment. Now I won't be able to see him again until June because he is booked up. This is extremely disappointing that the most vulnerable people who are mostly seniors and/of disabled are being taken advantage off and nobody seems to give a damn. read more

They are ALWAYS late!!!! I had a pick up time from dialysis at 10:18 to 10:30. So I called them to check on my ETA and they said that the driver was 6nin a half miles away and could tell me what time they would be here to pick me up. So I wanted and then called again now mind you now it 11 am so I called them and they are gonna tell me that it will be another 14 mins before I'm picked up. Very horrible service!!!! They need a better system for the riders that goes to dialysis. Because we're too tired to just be sitting up here waiting to be picked up. While no system is perfect I think Paratransit is a much needed and useful service. Post surgery and per doctors orders I was restricted from driving for about a month. Way it works is you apply for the service and if approved for $3 a trip you are transported to and from wherever you want to go. This services runs 24/7/365. It's easy to schedule your needs via the app or by calling in. Bus is clean and drivers are friendly. Passengers run the gamut from clients like myself who need the service for temporary reasons, physically and mentally challenged, and those unable to drive due to age or other medical conditions. Obviously anytime you are relying on transportation outside of your control there can be issues. In this case I don't think the cons of Paratransit outweigh the positives. But there are some things they could work on. It can be a lot of sit and wait as rides are scheduled in blocks, usually about 30, 45 minutes. So if you have an appointment at 1:00 p.m., you request pick up between 11:30 to 12:30 because you have to take into account pick ups and drop offs along your route. Depending on where you live your residence or destination may not fall into Paratransit areas of travel. It does not service parts of Summerlin, for instance, so closest pick up, drop off for me was Red Rock Casino. I would have been happy to pay an extra fee if that was an option as it's less than two miles. Another feature they could work on is the App and how rides are paid for. It's 2023 after all. Options to pay are cash, no change given. Paper ticket book or buy in monthly blocks. Problem with the monthly blocks is your balance is not reflected in the app so you have no idea what credit you have left at any given time and they don't have this info when you call in either. Also if you buy monthly it does not roll over to the next month so use it or lose it. read more

Attempted to go in there today (10/19/24 at around 3pm) because google had said they were open, asked a woman with glasses and braids on speaker phone with her supervisor if she could assist us on where to apply and get interviewed after almost a year of calling regularly and mailing back in his application as he was instructed to do so. they both explained to my friend who needs the service and I (I drove him to the location) that they were closed which was understandable, though the date and time windows that say they are open need to be fixed. we were then told that coming in at 8 am on a weekday would be our best chance (which is a shame and pretty inaccessible to disabled people). the supervisor also said that the reason they never picked up the phone was because of "bad reception". as the woman on the phone walked away from us after my friend expressed how he can't drive because of how poor his eyesight is she told us "Well! I ride RTC paratransit service. First, this service is very much needed and I am grateful to be able to use it. Today's review centers around a driver named Hazel who picked me up from my last destination. I was at the cancer center getting an infusion which ran a little late. The paratransit bus came and I was not quite done. Hazel, the driver, came and found I was not ready. This dear woman waited until my infusion was complete! She had no passengers on the bus, luckily, so the delay did not inconvenience anyone but her. Most drivers will wait the allotted five minutes and then drive off. Hazel waited twenty minutes and I am very grateful she did that. It is refreshing to know that there are still people who care about your situation. Thank you, RTC Paratransit for hiring this driver. My co worker has been using this service since August when I introduced her to it. She has been left on the curb at work at least once a week. She has been made late to work on multiple occasions and her supervisor has forced her to leave in even thought it was a direct result of the disorganized scheduling of her rides to and from work. She has made multiple phone calls as well as emailing supervisors and yet they still cause her to miss doctor and physical therapy appointments as well as being late to work. read more

Up until now, having to depend on the Paratransit Ride Service wasn't too bad. But today, things went wrong in a HUGE way. After waiting close to an hour - my designated window of assigned time, plus extra time outside that window - I was told by the representative that the bus had been to my complex, waited for me and then LEFT. I sat where I could see the bus come in the entire time, and NOBODY SHOWED UP. No other bus is coming to replace the one that left, and when I asked if this would count as a 'no-show' on my account, all I was told is that it would have to be 'investigated.' This was not only a waste of time, but no consideration was shown for whether or not I had an appointment to make or anything. This is about as unprofessional as it gets. read more

It has been incredibly difficult to arrange/change rides with the long wait times and incredibly rude, careless and stupid employees. My coworkers and I have witnessed drivers be totally disrespectful and ignorant with passengers. Many drivers don't pay attention when driving or follow the rules of road putting passengers and other drives lives at risk. There are exceptions here but those exceptions I'm not talking about. On Saturday's I rely on RTC Paratransit to take me to and from dialysis. I used a power chair. Last Saturday, my return to home trip was mistakenly entered (possibly by me) and when I called the paratransit office the person and talked with an associate who told me they could not help me reschedule a ride home. When I explained that I had no other means of getting home, she told me there was nothing she could do. She said she wasn't going to jeopardize her job by getting me a return home ride. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, but that request landed to a person who transferred me back to the her. I begged her for understanding that I had no other way home, but she was unrelentless in her ability to help me. Even when I told her I was a 73 year old dialysis patient who relies on the RTC Paratransit system to get me safely to and from dialysis on Saturday. Finally, I was able to reach my retirement facility and It was by the grace of God that there was still someone there to pick me up. read more

Same old crappy customer service from the schedulers. I haven't ridden rtc in almost 2 yrs but when I finally do attempt to schedule a ride, I was scheduled for the wrong pick up location. I called back the next day to correct the location (from one side of the VA to the other, as I have a lot of medical conditions and am in a wheelchair) and they pushed my pick up time back a whole hour from what should be a 1-2 direction difference (turn left to the dvx pick up vice the ambulatory pick up). These people obviously hate their job so they aren't going to give a crap about me or any other customer. They are nasty with the customers and get away with it because they know they're the only game in town. If you like being in the business of customer service I suggest you get ou!t. Mind you I'm writing this because I spoke to 3 reps to try and get this fixed and the were all rude (one hung up on me, all 3 spoke like my medical condition was mental not physical) ! I have used their service now three times for my disabled wife to get to Doctor's appointments. All I can say is Wow! The driver's are great, scheduling folks are outstanding. Never had any problems getting her to the appointments on time and back home quickly. A truly great service offered to residents and visitors who are disabled. read more

The Incompetency of the management of the company running this program is astounding. You would think they have know clue who their clientele is. They care nothing for their passengers and will go to the wall to defend their drivers no matter the circumstances. The pick up times mean little to nothing, the voice mail system is almost impossible to navigate, and the dispatchers treat you like an adversary. Someone should clean house at this place! read more
