We had white vinyl fencing installed and it came out BEAUTIFUL!!! Best of all they speak both English and Spanish. Thank you/Gracias to Angel and Crew

Coming out of the hell that was 2020, we reached out to Charlie in November about our project. Charlie was super honest about it and communicative about where he was in the process. So sure, getting to the install day was a drag - but it also wasn't his fault. Still, he was open and honest. Once our big day arrived? Something close to heaven. Not only because we finally had our long-awaited fence, but also....the work was fantastic. We also loved the fact that he didn't pawn it off on his crew sight unseen - he supervised and managed them. He's a total pro. Fact is, if you want a great fence and you want it done right AND you want it at a great price - R&R Fence is who you want.

In the early November windstorm a section blew out. I patched it together and wrote them. They did not respond, so two weeks later I wrote again. They responded that they would be coming up with a "quote" to repair the fence. The fault was an upper member had been cut too short, which was an installation error. I protested and they said they would send someone out to look at the fence. That was a month ago. In the meanwhile, as other windstorms were coming, I wound up screwing a large metal bracket to what should be a nice vinyl fence. They do good initial work but do not support their product.

Matt came out to give me a quote on just a day's notice, all the way in West Hartford. He was the only contractor that really got in and shook the fence which needed repairs. He really wanted to understand the structural problems. He explained everything thoroughly and had an innovative idea for the driveway gate we wanted to put in. Matt was super fast to email me a quote the next day ... Something I appreciated, especially when another West Hartford fence contractor still hasn't responded three weeks later! He was quick to respond to email questions and followed up well. Ultimately, we ended up going with a different contractor due to the slightly decreased cost. This was no fault of Durham Fence Co's. It was essentially a different job which was proposed. The other contractor agreed to use some existing poles we had in use while Matt wanted to ensure they'd be replaced to ensure the quality of the work. Totally makes sense. I will certainly consider hiring Durham Fence in the future.

A friend had used Frankson Fence and was very happy. So I called Frankson, as well as a couple of other local fence installers. Rich from Frankson came out and was very helpful in suggesting materials, the type of fence, and the best places to put it. Rich was by far the most accommodating, kind, and knowledgeable rep that I met with. A real pleasure to deal with. He got back to me with a competitive bid and so I went with him. We picked a install day a couple of weeks out, and he showed up on the exact day bright and early with my installers, Hector and Edwin. Both Hector and Edwin were awesome. It was clear that they took great pride in their work, went out of their way to make me happy, and would listen and discuss any potential changes that I wanted to make. They did a GREAT job and I cannot recommend my entire team highly enough. I love my new fence and most important, my dogs do too. Thank you Rich, Hector and Edwin!

One week later, a truck pulled up outside and within about an hour the old railings were gone and the new railings were installed! I can't say enough about the outstanding level of service I received from Jose and his crew. When he came out to the property, the quote he gave me on the phone was exactly the same as the quote he gave me in person. He scheduled me for the following week. On the day of, he arrived early with his team and when I got home from work, the fence was 99% done. His team came back the next morning and finished installing the gates. The final bill was exactly what he said it would be. We have had multiple contractors at our new home - for painting, small projects, HVAC, etc - and by far Jose was the most honest and reliable. On top of that the fence looks AMAZING. You won't regret using their services.

Apart from the fence itself, I wasn't sure what to do with various gates, the deck, a giant tree, etc. I had 4 fence guys come out, and Chris was the only one who had any ideas or suggestions. (The other guys basically stood there and said, "I don't know...Tell me what you want.") We ended up selling that house without new fencing, but our new house needed a fence ASAP, so I contacted Chris even before the closing. He worked around several obstacles (weather, trees, HUGE rocks, a shed delivery, an uncompleted paving project) but planned it all out and everything went perfectly. The fencing itself is great quality and the crew he brought in was amazing. We took all his suggestions and we're glad we did. (Boy, was he dead-on regarding gates, etc.!) The pricing and labor contract was clearly spelled out and there were no "surprises." And EVERYONE who comes to the house comments on my great fence ! Fencing is a pretty big investment and you need the job done right. I would call Fence Appeal again in a heartbeat.
