I've been coming to RSD Boxing for 7 months now, and I love it! Every day is different, with the workouts being a mix of bag work, gloves and pads, shadow boxing, and strength & conditioning. The workouts are effective and help to challenge you, but the culture here is very laid back where you can go at your own pace or modify if you need to. I used to live in San Diego, and while I was there I worked out at RSD Boxing. Having to leave RSD made moving back to LA that much more difficult. I loved my time at RSD. I've been going to RSD for about about a month now and I absolutely love it. I've been a member at various different gyms in my adult life and this is by far the best. I take the 7pm strength and conditioning class regularly and the 6pm adult boxing whenever I get the chance. Terry is it the instructor for both, and the other classes as well I believe, he's very patient and has does a great job with newbies like myself. When I first joined I had never even thrown a punch, let alone boxed before and I was a little unsure and embarrassed to look like a fool. Everyone there (Terry, Alan, Tony) did a fantastic job making me feel right at home and really inspired me. Great one stop shop for all your workout needs! I started going to this place originally to box but what I have really grown fond of is the strength and conditioning class. Just finished a women's boxing class and I have to say I'm in love with this place! It is so close to my house so it's really convenient, but it is also really affordable, with great staff, and great variance in classes offered! Betty teaches the women's class and she is so great! She takes time to make sure you have proper technique and form, and pushes you to work harder! I feel so comfortable here, and I am excited to try other classes. I've always been interested in boxing, but had no experience and was exttemely nervous. A friend of mine has been going here for almost a year now and invited me to try the adult boxing class at 6 PM. I went for the free day trial but I'm definitely coming back and joining $50 unlimited monthly membership! The location is great! Right of the freeway and has plenty of parking. The adult class sounded intimidating at first but the owner, Alan, is very welcoming and helped ease any nervousness. He assured me that each class has different levels of boxers and being a beginner won't be an issue. He offerred gloves and other equipment in the back if I needed them. The workout was great! Started with push ups, then partner work, strength training, ran a few laps and then ended with sit ups, squats, push ups and calf raises. The trainer Terry was awesome! I really liked how Alan and Terry walked around yhe gym to give out pointers and helped with any questions that I had. They were really cool guys, easy to talk to and made the gym not feel like a nerve-racking environmeny. I was completely put at ease! I highly recommend checking them out! :) read more

Tried out this boxing gym because I seen a Groupon for it and noticed the place was right down the street from my house. That all changed once I came to RSD. I found boxing to be the most effective way to burn calories and build strength during a workout. I joined RSD Boxing gym about three weeks ago. I have been searching for a boxing gym in east county that has all the equiptment and an opportunity to spare with others. I found it. You cannot beat the price too. Most gyms want 800 to 1000 a year upfront to join. No can do. People are friendly and there are no overly aggressive meat heads looking to take your head off.
