Selena is the best. She's open to trying new things, she's quick and does a great job!

Completely unhappy. Not only did the younger girl who did my pedicure NOT know what she was doing she used dirty equipment on my feet and then dirty towels. I had gel on my toes they charged me to remove that even though I got a gel pedicure at this location that was $3, then they charged me another $5 for a French pedi after I already paid $10 for the damn gel. I told them I wasn't happy and how a $48 pedi turned into a $76 pedi was completely insane. They charged me $5 per big toe for a fill in, my legs smell like dirty wet towels and I'm completely unhappy with this place. I'm from ATL and was here visiting family. Trust me when I tell you I won't be back. After she was done with the tools on my feet she didn't wash them or anything she put them back into her "clear and blue sanitizer bag", for those of you who are unfamiliar this is the bag that you're supposed to put the tools in after you sanitize them. You're supposed to put used tools on a tray and take them back to the back when you're finished to have them sanitized and put into a new bag that is supposed to be sealed shut to keep them sterile. She then zipped up her bag after putting her regular nail file in there also. Completely GROSS!! Needless to say I didn't tip. She skipped steps thru out the pedi and I had to tell her what to do. I will be disputing this with my CC company ( as services were not as described) bc I told them all my issues before I left and they didn't apologize or try and make it right, they just tried to justify everything which was completely unprofessional, I've been getting my nails done for about 15-20 years, and I can't begin to tell you that I should have left 10min into this pedi but I gave it a change since I'm not from here. I'm SO unhappy. Same thing I posted on Google. Then after you rate them low they send you an automated message via text and the same message is on Google under low ratings. It's not genuine in response to my experience, it's an auto piloted message. In one of the pictures you can see the sign that's posted inside letting customers know that if they are unhappy with a service to bring it to the attention of the staff and it will either be fixed or any enhancements taken off. I expressed my unhappiness during the pedicure and ask her and let me tell you nothing changed, and nothing happened, all they did was try to justify themselves regarding what was going on. The woman next to me kept passing me her phone letting me know that the girl who was doing my feet had done her feet once and she said never again. Shame on me for not getting up and leaving the second I saw the technician take dirty equipment out of her bag.

I called in prior to check on their prices, and the total for my deluxe pedicure and full acrylic set ended up being less than what I thought it would be ($75 total before tip). This was a plus! I came in on a Friday around lunch time, and they were pretty busy. I didn't have to wait though, and sat down right away for my pedicure. I noticed the later it got, the more customers showed up and it got busier. Weekends are probably their busiest. I chose the Deluxe Pedicure, and it was well worth it in my opinion. It has more massage time, extra scrub, wax and a hot towel treatment. The water was the perfect hot temperature to soak my feet in. Everything was sanitary and new packages of tools were used. The massage chair was relaxing and even massaged my shoulders and butt! Kyle did my French tip gel pedicure and he did a great job, especially with the massage. The only thing I didn't like was that he had to cough several times, and a few times he coughed on me. I hope he wasn't sick! For my nails, I requested square, French tips, with a bow design on one nail. The lady who did them was quick and did an awesome job. I absolutely love them! I definitely recommend this salon for nail services. I did see multiple people come in for eyebrow waxing, so I may try that service in the future. I did see a few comments on Google Reviews of people who don't like the fact that the staff speak to each other in their native language. And to that I say, if you don't like it, simply go somewhere else! The staff speaks English perfectly fine and I witnessed many regulars come in and had no problem with the staff speaking two languages.

My initial speaking with the employee in making the appointment nothing was mentioned about me possibly having ethnic hair. I even had to reschedule do something coming up and even in that conversation nothing was mentioned about me having "ethnic hair". It wasn't until 2 hours before my appointment I got a call asking if I had ethic hair, after responding yes, she said they didn't do ethnic hair. The issue is not that they don't do black peoples hair, the issue is that none of this was communicated to me beforehand. There is also no where on their facebook description where they mention they do not do black women's hair It just says "specializing in women's hair". Now, I was not asking for braids or anything of that nature. Just a dry cut on already washed and straightened hair. So, it was not something that I felt was out of reach. I did appreciate the employee giving me other options that specialized in "ethnic hair" but they all required to have an appointment which in turn left me with my hair not done. Maybe, this kind of information should be put on their website or on their Facebook that they do not specialize in cutting black women's hair. Whether it is already washed and straightened or not so that no one's else time is wasted.

I showed up to my appt a few minutes earlier and the reception said my stylist still was on her way. I thought hm. Ok. We all have rough mornings. It was only a few minutes past my appt that I went back to my chair. I showed the stylist pictures of what I wanted. She went back mixed up color and on the appt went. The stylist was sweet and conversation was nice. The whole salon had a whole "Steel Magnolias" vibe and I loved it. While she was sweet and the salon was nice, the customer service and work was terrible. I mentioned I have a lot of hair when she mixed color. It seemed disregarded and she went back to mix color 3-4x. I could feel the color on my neck and forehead and she left it as a last priority to clean it off. Another stylist mentioned I had color on me. And lent her color remover for me. 3 days later and I still have color on my neck and behind my ears even after using hair color remover from Sally's. When my color set she left and didn't say how long I would be there for, ask if I needed anything, etc. For a Saturday of relaxing that I either don't have the time for or can't afford, this isn't the service I'm looking for. Once she was told her next client was waiting (she was still blow drying me) she really started moving quickly and sloppily. She kept throwing her materials down so much, I was worried my iPad would get thrown in the process off of her work bench. I wondered when she would address her next client knowing we still needed to discuss my halo hair piece and she said she wanted to revisit my cut once it was dry. Well, the salon doesn't do halos unlike as mentioned online, so we talked about doing that at another time. She said something about installing it for free...but it's just a wire piece you wear. She never revisited my cut. I Wondered why she kept me away from the mirror and once I left, I figured it out. She did a Shoddy job. I've have had better experiences at beauty schools. I've lived in 2 countries, 9 states...so I have to try a lot of new places...and this was by far the worst. In the salon, I thought I liked it. I was very surprised at the contrast of colors but didn't want to hurt her feelings. It wasn't what I asked for, but I wasn't used to it yet I thought. She said she would contact me personally that day about the halo (she never did) and never booked my next appt. she knew her work was terrible... How could she not... she didn't even take an after photo despite taking a before...Once I got home, I realized my hair was ruined. It took all weekend, and nearly as much as I paid for the original appt to fix my hair ($185 with tip). I should have reached out and voiced my opinion despite my feelings of not wanting her to touch my hair again. My lesson I learned is: if you're not happy, go back and tell them. And stay far far away from Madison at Rustique. However if you need hair help... I highly recommend the ladies at Sally's. They won't rob you of your money. I write this hoping someone with less money, time, and a supportive partner can avoid this whole mess.
