One of my biggest complaints with doctors is that you can be put on hold a lot or have to wait a bit to talk to someone to schedule an appointment but each time I've called the office I have gotten through and had questions answered quickly. As a new patient I also was afraid it might take a bit to get a first appointment scheduled, however after dropping off my paperwork after a fax was having difficulty being delivered, the transfer of files went through within a week, and I had an appointment for a couple of weeks later, despite wanting an appointment 3:15 or later, which sometimes can be prime time and hard to book in short notice. When going in for my appointment I got there just on time, only waited a few minutes, had my height weight etc all done within a few minutes, and hardly waited at all to be seen by the PA who was friendly and helpful. Had a great first experience at this doctor's office and am happy for the convienience so close to home. If you live nearby I definitely recommend checking out this office.

Numerous times he has sent prescriptions for my wife without being seen for various issues. More importantly my wife currently suffers from high blood pressure. Now he originally diagnosed the issue and prescribed medication, but an emergency scare had my wife taken to immediate care where they increased her dosage to double what Kawar originally prescribed. Now my wife is in an emergency situation, she needs her medication refilled, Kawar is not returning her calls or voicemails and the emergency response "Dr" was very disrespectful to my wife and refused to help her. His response was "you should have called yesterday". Very unprofessional in my opinion. Patients NEED to be able to trust and rely on medical personnel in emergency situations if anyone. Very disappointing, and I have been trying to persuade my wife into looking for a different primary care for years. This needs to be addressed.

Most of the problems were related to weight and suggested that I lose some. I returned 6 months later and he was satisfied with the loss. He preformed the laser surgery to close the bleeding veins that were causing the discoloration. The process was successful and after a follow up I'm good to go for a while. He prescribed compression stockings and I'll return in 3 months to see if anything more can be done. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Nice clean and comfortable atmosphere. In the Georgetown plaza, there is lots of parking. The doctor is knowledgeable and has a good way with people.
