I have just revieved my wordly possessions after 3 years in storage at Self Storage. I am so…read morepleased with the service and the condition of of items returned to us I feel it necessary to write a review! Not a hint of mould, damp or anything that you imagine could have happened after 3 years. We stored expensive things, piano, beds, art works, and personal stuff.. letters, clothes.. all kinds as we moved overseas for a temporary contract. During this time, if I needed to phone or email, people answered, returned my calls, were curtious, helpful and did not over push other products (insurance, or removal people). I cannot express how important it is that someone is there when they say they will be... we contracted a removal service and the storage people were very proffessional asking for documents to ensure they were releasing our goods to the right people. They photographed our unit on request each year, which just took away all my nerves. You pay not only for the storage but excellent service. I searched extensively before we choose this place, there were more modern facilitites fancy enclosed metal boxes, in other places (here some on the units have an air flow through the roof.. worked for us.. no damage at all... Security was better here (cameras, alarms), access to the site was more limited in other places, or people had had terrible experiences. This place is easy to find of the A57, easy to arrange a contract with (did this several times from overseas as we extended with no hassle). They are also very fair, I feel like we choose the right place, and it took some of the stress away of our big move. Cannot recommend them enough... they were reasonably priced, personable and easy to use...go see for yourself...

Calling this place an absolute joke of a company, would still be me being mild. It's just…read moreunbelievably bad. The issue at hand, I make a reservation for a storage unit. No issues until I got there, unit already paid for, I get a confirmation mail, and even completed an online check-in process as well. With my goods (having paid for movers), I get on scene to find out my code doesn't work and make it all even more wonderful, they don't have any staff on scene. After about 45 minutes, I get through to customer care (By the end, of 7 calls I could connect through to them only on 1) during which they tell me my ID verification didn't pass because they couldn't verify my address. After some back and forth, they decided to use my residential address in the UK, and was asked to mail them a bank statement that mentions my address in the UK. I do, following which the next response of any kind I get is after 2 hours, all while I'm supposed to be sitting there on the side of the road with all my stuff. Now the highlight, the 2 documents in question being, - my passport which I'm using to be in the country in the first place - the second being, a official bank statement from Lloyd's bank stating my address at the very top. Firstly, why on earth would you send a Reservation Confirmation mail of any kind if you haven't verified the prerequisites. Secondly, they somehow think the appropriate time to bring up an issue is, after the customer get on-site with his goods and after he calls customer care for the Nth time. Following these hours of back and forth, I decided to find an alternative. It took me a total of 10 minutes to get it all done, and actually "CONFIRM" a unit and I used the same IDs. And for all the customer sevice BS mail responses, your understanding of my frustration is not what is keeping the roof over my head, it is all the money I spent on the movers.

Recently taken on a storage pod here to do just that! Proximity to where i currently live (most self storage a places are right on the outskirts of town), secure on site parking and free 24hr access were the winners for me as well as being able to pay by credit card. They sell all the usual packing items that you may need when wanting to box you superfluous stuff up and offer referral vouchers if a friend takes out a pod. No min contract and 1 months notice is all that is needed to quit your pod. All you need to provide is a decent lock which can either be bought from them or from any hardware store.
