When Royce wasn't available in Manila yet, my parents and siblings would hand-carry these delicious chocolates all the way from Hong Kong. Cut to a couple years later, kiosks of Royce chocolates can be found in Manila - and that is a sweet thing.
Before I had a taste of Royce's famous Nama chocolate, I frankly couldn't understand the hype. Ok, so another chocolate brand - big deal. Then my parents brought some home from Hong Kong. That first taste was truly life changing. It was creamy, rich and velvety. It definitely was a piece of chocolate I haven't tried before. There's something about its consistency and the way it melts in your mouth very quickly. The Nama also comes in different flavors like milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, strawberry and matcha. There's also a variety mixed with some alcohol in it.
There's also lots more good stuff in Royce. I love eating their Baton Cookies while having a cup of hot coffee. Their chocolate-dipped potato chips are also a crowd-favorite. The price of a box of Royce chocolates is quite steep but for the quality and flavor that comes along with it, I think it's worth it. read more
