It was, without exaggeration, one of the worst meals I've ever had. The catering company should be ashamed. They ran out of food and even ran out of plates. At $60 per person, I expected to enjoy a proper brunch with at least the option of seconds. The quality of the food was extremely disappointing--low-budget at best--and I wouldn't be surprised if they used powdered eggs. Our group was fairly large, yet we were split between two separate tables, and one of those tables was shared with a completely unrelated family. That just added to the awkwardness of the experience. If you're planning an event at this venue, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Not a single person in our group would return.

Desperate, I went on thumbtack and sent out a message (more like a distress signal). Among the replies I got back, Janice from Simply Elegant wedding and events reached out to me. She stood out instantly. She sent me links, and information. And a list of vendors to get on the phone right away. (Free of charge) and once we got on the phone she was extremely professional, funny, and sincere. She knew what I needed, and right away I knew I had to work with her. We made an instant connection, and I'm SO glad I found her! Throughout the past 9 months, Janice was available to me for questions I had, planning, she went with me to every vendor, helped picked our vendors, and was there for every step. Eventually I was calling her my "wedding mom". Haha! She is worth her weight in gold, and I couldn't have done it without her. My wedding was 2 weeks ago.. and it was BEAUTIFUL! Janice took control and made our dream wedding come true! Complete with my dorky Harry Potter stuff, and my husbands love for sports- she made it elegant and fun in such a seamless way. She even has an arsenal of wedding supplies and helped by bringing some of her own supplies! As well as her supplies, her vendors she works with were phenomenal! We used her caterer, make up artist, Dj (DjErick Ve) , florist , photographer, and party rentals. EVERY one of these vendors were amazing.. and a pleasure to work with. And they all worked amazing together with Janice. EVERYONE loved our wedding and we are still hearing about it from everyone. I couldn't believe the amount of detail and finesse she put into my day. And the whole time (even with the inevitable hiccups that happen- stupid ice guy never showed up) she handled everything the day of , figured it out, and allowed me and my new husband to enjoy wedding without us even knowing! If you're looking for a wedding planner that is not only VERY skilled and knowledgeable about what she does, but also someone who cares about YOU and your day. She is the one to call. Janice has become someone I love! And you better believe she will be invited to my future baby showers, and parties! Because not only is she professional.. she's a freaking BLAST to be around! My wedding was relatively small- I spent months working on decor, planning etc but unfortunately the staff started to clean up and take everything down before 9:30pm (we had the venue until 10). This basically resulted in the wedding feeling very "over" when we still had a lot of time that we paid for- I would have loved to dance the rest of the night away but because everything was already cleaned up- people thought it was over. I was a distracted bride and didn't realize what was going on until almost every table was empty - the staff seemed like they were in a rush to go home. The most upsetting issue was earlier in the day, our coordinator from the venue did not communicate with my family which resulted in my grandparents sitting in the back of my wedding. I would like to emphasize we only had about 75 people, less than 10 of those were my blood family and my grandparents SAT AT THE BACK. I can't believe a venue could not handle directing the traffic of 75 people. SEVERAL of my guest approached me after the wedding to say they felt uncomfortable before the wedding from the treatment they were receiving. My wedding cake was also put out incorrectly which resulted in hideous holes on the top of my cake ( I wish I was kidding) . I am a very type B person, I tried to make this wedding as simple as possible and I was extremely let down by this venue. I won't even get into the $200 that went missing at my wedding that they didn't seem to find on camera. Simply don't get married here- take your money somewhere else. All you will get is a $100 gift card to a breakfast restaurant as an apology.
