Arabic cocktail was worth a trip in of itself. My friend got the taro and it's probably the best milk tea in town.

I have seen posts on FB about this place so of course I wanted to try it while I was in the area…read more The place itself gave Parisian cafe vibes that was clean with cute decor and plenty of seating. Unfortunately that's where it stopped for me. They had baked goods on a wall display and a display by the counter, along with cake in a refrigerator. Unfortunately, none of it looked fresh nor did any of it stood out to me or was very appeasing. The regular croissants looked very dry and flaky and the chocolate croissants were flat and smashed looking. Even the cake in the refrigerator looked dry... I did end up buying a lemon blueberry scone along with an almond danish- and I feel like I wasted $10. My 10 year old child thought the scone was old and stale. The almond danish basically was phyllo dough with a big dollop of almond paste- I couldn't even eat half of it. They do have a menu with soup and croissant sandwiches, but they're very over priced. $18.50 for a bacon egg and cheese croissant!?! Hard pass for me. Some advice should you choose to try this place, keep an eye out on your receipt. While I do hope it was an honest mistake- the guy working there was nice- he charged me $6/piece for the scones and the danish when they were actually $5/piece. I did bring it to his attention before I paid and he did adjust the prices. Whatever he rang them up as- was not listed as a "scone" or "danish."

The true test of a French bakery is the bread. I was not impressed with the croissant. No air. Too…read moredense. The bacon egg and cheese on croissant was unbalanced, unsavory, too cute on presentation, not enough on substance. Overpriced at $18.50. Balsamic drizzle on the plate looked more like Italy than Paris. Absolutely no one in the cafe at 10-1030 on a Friday morning on the town square. Sorry, can't say I would return here again.

I know what your thinking coffee inside of a Casino.... But trust me worn a try!…read more I stumbled upon this place while walking into Poto. It has such a nice aesthetic and overall clean look you would think it wasn't in a casino. Honestly if they put doors/screens up I considered getting some work done here. The coffee is also really good and worth a try. I will say I overall enjoyed every aspect of the experience!

I spend A LOT of time at Potawatomi Casino and have gotten snacks and lattes on numerous occasions…read morethere. The snacks and latte's are perfect! This is a counter service establishment, only. Many times I have had good to adequate service and responses to my orders. Other times, I have been disappointed. On occasion, the counter clerks act like taking an order was something they have to do unwillingly, and showed their contempt in various ways, including but not limited ignoring a greeting from me, talking to co-workers instead of providing service and making all of us wait in line while having a conversation. I have two product gripes. First, decaf drip coffee is not available here. One can order a decaf latte or espresso, but not just a cup of decaf coffee. (Hmmm?). My second product gripe is when I order bagels, I always ask for them to be toasted well done and/or "double toasted." I have yet to have a real toasted bagel here, though I have ordered them on at least five occasions. Additionally, though the bagel is cut in half, it is obvious that they do not toast the bagel while it is cut in half. Only the outside of the bagel halves are (very lightly) toasted. The glass enclosed pastry case looks very appetizing and everyone I have talked to that has eaten sweets/desert items have said they are excellent. That has also been my experience when I have eaten some cookies from here, as well. This 3-star rating can easily become a four or five star rating if management would make sure their customer service reps are aware that they are in "customer service" and to treat everyone of their customers with courtesy, attentiveness, and respect.

Karma is one of my go to stops for a refreshing breakfast including some fresh fruits and protein!…read moreThis café smoothie bar is quaint (heads up they don't have a ton of seating inside) but such a cute spot to sit and enjoy your meal. I have been here a few times now and tried different bowls and smoothies- my top favorites include the protein bowl and the choco craze smoothie! I also love how you can customize and add in different ingredients, such as fruits, nut butters, or protein powder to make it your own. The food menu is fairly limited, but I will say that the avocado toast and bagel with cream cheese both hit the spot. They also serve coffee/tea drinks which I have yet to try, and have a variety of other items to look over in the shop. Every time I have stopped by the staff has been friendly and efficient in serving customers. Definitely recommend trying out Karma if you are in the Bayview area and are looking for some nutritious food/beverage options! (Yes this is coming from a Dietitian;) )

Karma Café is an amazing little spot in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee…read more There are plenty of healthy options to choose from and the Karma Bowl was particularly delicious. The strawberries and granola on top were a nice touch, along with the drizzle of honey. I went with one other person and he had the PB Protein Smoothie which was fantastic as well! I wasn't sure how well pineapple would pair with peanut butter, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. Pineapple is such a nice addition to the traditional peanut butter and banana combo. My only gripe is the price point. $10 for a smoothie bowl and $8 for a smoothie seems a little steep. But then again, you're paying for healthy, yummy, high quality food. The gal who runs the shop is also so nice and efficient. I will definitely be returning to Karma Café!
