Out of Ifema to thai restaurant. I had high hope for this restaurant since there was valet parking and there were crowd. Ordered menu del dia consisted of tom yum soup and grilled prawn with basil. Kuddos for the tom yum, on point for the spices and herbs soup. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said to the grilled prawn with basil, it was too salty and I think they put too much garlic as it was overpowering the taste of the basil. Service was good enough, albeit slow (we were there at the end of lunch hour, so there were not as full). I might stretch a bit and thought for a 15 € something, I'd have better dessert than a supermarket cup of ice cream, maybe just a presentation, but it would be better if they put a scoop of ice cream in a proper ice cream bowl. Also had a cup of lemon grass tea, again, this might be an asian thing, but if you're in thai or vietnamese restaurant, lemongrass tea should better came with real lemongrass [this kind of thing I miss the most from asian restaurant in Madrid =( ]. Other than all that, the ambiance was nice and pretty upscale looking. read more
