LOL. All of the staff are Chinese. All of the cooks are Chinese. Naturally they decide to run a Thai restaurant. The reality is you can charge more for "Pad Thai" than you can for "Chow fun". Unfortunate, cause proper chow fun is good! We ordered silver noodle salad but turned out to be stir fry with silver noodles. I would say if they want to call it Thai food, fine but make sure to use the right name for the dishes. Luckily the other dish we got was beef with cashew. Can't really mess that up. I ordered noodle soup to start. Waitress told me, you can't order anymore after this because we are closing. Three more customers came in. A couple and about five minutes after that, a woman. They were really in a rush and customers were told that they could only order certain items because the cook had to leave. Staff was dropping glassware and talking loud in the kitchen. I think the cook left about 4:50pm and then my waitress left about 4:55pm. The remaining staff appeared more calm. Have to say noodle soup was delicious. Too bad I came at such a bad time. read more

Thai food in Spain? When one lives here tapas get old. I am particularly fond of Asian food, but haven't found the right places in Europe yet. NYC does it so much better. Delicious and affordable food. We had a dinner for two, shared appetizer (spring rolls), two entrees (shrimp pad Thai and lemon chicken) and a bottle of wine and all that was €25! The spring rolls were nice and crispy, my pad Thai was good and my friends chicken must've been good because he finished it all! Only reason why this isn't 5 stars is because they use thicker noodles for their pad Thai and it's a bit different sauce wise from what I normally get at home. Madrid can be tough on a vegetarian; not being one I was fine, but my wife needed veggies and told me I need to cut back on the pork intake. We stumbled upon this busy Thai place and she was hooked. We popped in for a post-museum lunch. They have a good selection of the classic dishes and they are well prepared. The food was very tasty. It is not the best Thai food in I have had, but still good. Let's say you have been in the museum all day and you are beyond tired. Enter Pad Thai, right across from the Prado, a block from Reina Sophia, and offering a 8.95E lunch special. Very nice Thai restaurant that tasted more like Chinese to me, not too traditional. I guess it's a bit adapted to Spanish palates, with not so spicy food. Menu del dia is amazing value for money, 9EUR for starter + main + dessert including drink. There are many good options to choose, and the most popular ones are the chicken sate for starter and the pad thai with prawns for mains. All mains are served with rice and all together it's a lot of food, so if you don't want to get completely stuffed with food, order the Bangkok salad or the soup to start. read more

I came in for the lunch at 12:30pm or so and there were maybe two other customers in there #signsimamerican. I missed good Asian food so I decided to give this one a try. I got the menu of the day. It started off with two crispy spring rolls and it definitely tasted like something my mom would make. Then came a bowl of fried rice which was good. If you want pad Thai keep in mind that it is not the same as normal pad Thai. The noodles are thick and there is no spice added, it is simply plain noodles with boiled chicken. It was good, just not pad Thai read more
