When you walk in they have front bar style seating along the entry windows, sofa seating, booths, and regular height tables. They offer a variety of board/card games to entice customers to stay a while and enjoy their drinks in-house. Super trendy, but can be pretty loud. This isn't a good cafe to study or read. This is a cafe to play Jenga and accuse your friends of cheating during a round of headbandz or ganging up on a sibling at a round of UNO. Service: Walk in, order, pay, they give you a ticket number, they call out number, you pick up. Really easy; my only complaint is that there sometimes feels like not enough room to wait in line after you order your beverage. If you dont plan on staying a while and the seats are taken.. theres no real "waiting for order" area. Just stand there and embrace the awkwardness. Quality: Pretty hard to mess up tea, so it's really been really wonderful quality drinks everytime we come. I wish they offered small boba, but their selection is prime without it! My all time favorite boba place by far, it just sucks that they only have 1 location in Arlington so I really only go when I'm in school bc I can't drive over there everyday. I always get the Jasmine Green Milk Tea and it is SO GOOD. Instead of sugar I get it subbed with honey and it always tastes just right! New spot that just opened up in Arlington. They have a vast selection, teas, desserts, everything! We decided to go with the Thai green tea and winter melon milk tea. Wintermelon was a miss- it tasted bland and very much like tea water. Wasn't much wintermelon flavor. The Thai green tea was good! Just the right amount of sweetness, however this place has a very bitter/tea-y taste to it! If you like that, then by all means go here. Boba was a little hard and small. Recently however, I tried their summer drink: Rosy Daze with boba and IT IS THE BEST BOBA DRINK I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! It's rose and lychee tea with lychee and rose bits in it!! My first impression of Royal Tea was not a very good one when they first opened (3/5 stars), but I told myself I wouldn't publish a review until I've at least given them a second chance and now is the time. I asked the cashier dude back then what he recommended and he said "Honestly, all the drinks here are good but you can never go wrong with the Matcha Royal Milk Tea." So that's what I ordered. And it was soooooooo bland, like a boba drink that's been left out throughout the day and all its ice has been dissolved. Reasons why I have trust issues (cries). I typically drink 1/3 to half my boba cup and save the rest for when I'm craving it late at night when all boba shops go to sleep, but I didn't even want to save this particular cup. I even gave away the punch card to a friend who said he liked it here because I figured I would either never come back again or barely come back. Today, I was in the middle of writing my 4/5 star review until 2 hours later when my tummy started hurting. I got the black milk tea without boba. It was definitely not as flavored as other boba shops that I've tried, however a lot more improved taste than my first visit. I know my stomach is sensitive to how meals and drinks are cleanly prepped. I didn't eat anything today other than the same soup which didn't affect me at all yesterday so it had to have been this boba drink which was a newly introduced intake from my usual diet. From working at 2 hospitals, we look at it as suspicious and a likely cause of our stomach upset, unfortunately. I don't believe I will be returning. If you give this place a try and it works out for you, enjoy it. I'll be passing on this place unless a friend urges me to go. But I'll be chillin though. Some places I went to tasted literally like a drink that they freeze and then shave. The shaved ice here was like they shaved a chunk of ice cream. Each bite was a soft cloud of sweetness. The WAFFLE was a crisp yet bouncy texture. For the Vietnamese readers it tasted like banh teo In terms of flavor yet a hint of chewiness like banh bo yet crisp like a waffle. Sorry that I can't explain the waffle in ways everyone can understand. It's not overly sweet and worth a try! Saw a yakult drink and thought since I love yakult I would get it. (Yakult is a flavored probiotic shot) When I asked about it the mixers said it's basically a watered down yakult. It was exactly that. They were not wrong but it really feel like they grabbed a bottle of yakult and added water in a cup of boba. I've been here a handful of times and I've only had a couple drinks from there menu, but all in all, a pretty good place! The consistency of their boba is a little off as sometimes I can taste a difference in my cup -- some tapioca pearls are chewier/softer than others. My favorite drink here is the Mango Yakult with boba! Perfect amount of tart and syrup in a cup. I think the regular size is more flavorful as the large is probably just doubled up so it tastes a little watered down. The ambience here is very lively and I always see it crowded. This place was really good I loved the Oreo eggette waffle I ordered, also love the fact that I didn't have to drive out to Dallas for something like this. It's time this side of town catch up to the unique dessert craze going around. The shaved ice looked amazing but after my one cone I had no room left in my tummy, but I'll be back to try more. Ninja was smart for opening a Ramen restaurant and now a Boba shop which is directly next door to each other! I'd like to note that the decor was really nice and very casual. They have games to play and plenty of seating so a great place to go to especially during summer break. With Ninja Ramen being literally next door, there's connecting doors that will lead you straight into Royal Tea (how convenient) it's the best of both worlds; ramen and boba. So this means that you can eat at Ninja Ramen and get desserts/drinks next door at Royal Tea without ever leaving the building or having to drive. As for the taste, I ordered a regular Milk Tea to test the waters and I do have to say it was a little watery which i was a bit disappointed but it still had a decent amount of flavor. Another thing is that i wish that they had more variety on what milk tea flavor you could get. They are still having their Soft Opening so they are still working with flavors and trying to perfect their menu. So, I cannot give a full review of their Milk Tea until official grand opening. On the other hand my friend ordered a Green Thai Tea and it tasted like any Green Thai Tea (referring to 1102 Bubble Tea & Bites) but it was a bit powdery. As for the price, it is very decent in comparison to other boba shops in the Arlington and Grand Prairie area. Your drink can range from $3-5 depending on how many toppings or add-ons you choose. Overall this place has a lot of potential but definitely has some more work to do before Grand Opening. But definitely give this place a try to see what they're about! read more

The drinks themselves are pretty good, however, they are not organized at all when it comes to busy hours. I came with 2 friends, and when they called my number (numbers that didn't go in order because order 6 came out before order 4) I only got one of the two drinks I had ordered, and when I told them, they had no idea what I was talking about. They did however make the second drink quickly after, but my friend who ordered right after me, didn't get his drink until he went up to the counter because we had waited almost 40 minutes. Only been here a couple times but I have enjoyed their boba every time. One thing that makes this place stick out is that they're open later than the other boba shops, which worked out perfectly for my friends and I craving a late night boba. They have a lot of choices for toppings. Their menu isn't as big as the other places that have sprung up, but they serve food too. Unfortunately I haven't tried any of their food items, but it's because I ate at Ninja Ramen prior to going. They have a book shelf of games that patrons can borrow which makes for a fun night with friends, and the interior is well done and very trendy! Cute place! Tried the Jasmine Milk Tea and it was two thumbs up. Ordered the regular size and regretted not ordering the large. Boba was on point - perfect chewiness. I ordered eggettes as well, which took like 15-20 minutes. It was packed on a Sunday later afternoon, with lots of people hanging around with a drink while waiting for ramen next door. I tried my go-to, jasmine green milk tea with boba, the drink itself didn't have a tea taste, it was more milk than anything and the boba has oddly soggy and hard at the same time.
