Let me just say, I called mid-afternoon on a Wednesday (knowing that her shop was closing at 7pm) asking if she had any openings within a few hours... She made time to see me and stayed late!! (plus 1 star lol) I let Chanelle know that I needed a trim, wash and blowout... Lord knows I was LONG overdue for one!!! My hair is natural, thick and had some straggly heat damaged ends. Chanelle performed some magic on my little "beads", because when she was finished, my hair was silky-smooth, shiny and super bouncy. Owww! *hair flip* (plus 2 stars) This was the FIRST time that I've gone to a beautician and they styled my hair perfectly! Rich was mailing a bill near Norma's when Rakel spotted him and came out and said he could use a trim. He responded he knew but we were totally social distancing. She assured him they were taking very serious precautions, so we scheduled our appointments. Of course, masks were mandatory and clients were limited. As soon as we walked in the shop there was a mark on the floor telling us to stop. Rakel immediately came over to me and put a complete disposable plastic "gown" on me. She then took my temperature. It was normal so she took me back to her station where she pulled out a fresh large disposable plastic sheet and completely covered the chair. Rich did not wait but did an errand at CVS until I was done. As soon as I got up to leave the plastic was removed and the chair was being sanitized for Rich's turn. We paid in cash to limit contact even more. Prices were very slightly higher, but that is not surprising with all the new expenses businesses are incurring.

I showed her a picture and she was able to replicate it pretty well. The size of the twists were great. They were small enough to last at least a few weeks and are large enough to take out with ease. My hair did not feel tight and my neck isn't stiff. Her price was $70 but I know that it varies (not sure what its based on). I will definitely be going back every three weeks. I have gone back numerous times but I still never let her wash my hair. I have referred at least 15 people to her since as well. She's a keeper.
