I figured a 'Man Parlor'...sounds like a place that would practice their expertise on other gentlemen ...I'd like to think my son's a gentleman! lol So why not give it a shot? I messaged them last night about my son needing a barber to help him fix this mishap... almost immediately, they sent me a message to make an appt with a few barbers who may be able to help him. I did and at this moment while I'm typing this review, I just witnessed Tom handle my son's hair like a baby. So much care and attention to making sure my son was comfortable with everything he was doing to his hair. Idk what they're talking about while he's in the chair but I can tell my son feels better with his haircut today than he did yesterday! That's a big deal. Back story...my son takes his hair pretty seriously. He wanted to grow his hair out but didn't want to drastically cut his hair off. Yesterday's haircut ended in my son coming home with over 4 inches of his hair cut off and looking like he had a mullet after I tried to comb his hair with some hair products when he came home. He was so disappointed with his hair...i needed to remedy this asap. So I'm so happy I found these guys cuz his hair has a proper shape again and I love how my son's confidence has come back in a matter of minutes!! Thanks so much guys!! It's always intimidating going to a new shop cause you never know what you're going to get and reviews can be misleading. Overall the people there are nice and they accept walk ins. But I got the easiest cut. All I wanted was my taper to be cleaned up. Nothing else. Keep it soft edges and natural. I got to my car and the sideburn area was 1.5 cm longer on one side. Super uneven. I went in and the guy fixed it but he tried to act like that was "natural". This isn't my first time. I know what lack of attention to details and carelessness look like. He didn't even check to see if they were even. Apparently that cut would have been 30. First time was 25. But considering how little I asked cut. Very surprising. Disappointing. Won't be back.

I use to take my youngest to a nicer salon in Weston but the cost for a kid's haircut got way too pricey. My sister is a professional hairstylist and will cut our family's hair whenever we see her. Unfortunately, she lives in Atlanta. I would usually pay attention to kids with great haircuts and ask where they go. One of our friends recommended Empire Cuts and said they see the owner, Julio. First time here, we tried to make an appt with Julio but he was booked. He's quite popular. No sweat, they were able to accommodate us with someone else. Since we were new to Empire Cuts at the time, we weren't picky. We are regulars here now and I have to say we have been here about 15 or more times and these guys are always so good with my son! I love whenever he gets a fresh cut! A good haircut makes all the difference. Our schedules are usually crazy with the kids so I never really had a set barber to make appointments with. Several of them would give us their cards but honestly, it was so much easier to just to walk in and play it by ear. Haha. Julio has a fully staffed crew of barbers here that hustle and do a great job and I think we've seen almost everyone by now. So they are all pretty good. More recently, we started seeing Steven as our regular Barber. He's great and so good at trying to be consistent getting us to holler at him for appointments. Eventually we did and it worked out great. Steven is the BEST with my son and always so personable with him. I love that he chit chats with him and it's so sweet. He's also good about checking in when we haven't been by in a while. Kid was trying to grow his hair out towards end of the year. He eventually decided to get a fresh cut for the new year in 2025. Haha. The barber shop is super clean and all of the guys here are great. They are consistently busy but can almost always accommodate walk-ins. We pay via Square with the individual barbers and tip accordingly. We've been coming here for over 2 years now and I think we paid $25 + tip. Pricing increased a little bit and we now pay $30 + tip. Still a great price for quality haircuts. They just opened a new and smaller location, Empire Cuts 2, at the corner of Stirling and Pine Island. In the same plaza with Litchi Delights and Tijuana Flats. Great consistent experience here. Check them out if you're looking for a good barber. Keep up the good work Julio. My barber spent about an hour on my hair which normally takes about 20-30 minutes which was awesome. Amazing attention to detail and he checked in with me several times throughout the process.
