There are two pubs in my parent's village. This is the better of the two. I came here on boxing day and you couldn't move in here it was sooooooo busy. But that was pretty great actually.
The staff are friendly, so are the locals. They charge prices so tiny you think you've miss heard them. And then you think they've miscounted your change.
It's a proper pub, with lovely people and a cosy country atmosphere. I have it on good authority that it's a great pub throughout the rest of the year too. It might not be as busy then, but they still have bands on and you can play a game of pool if you want.
Like it here. Must come back and drink more beer with the folks. read more
