First of all we made an appointment and didn't get in until 30 minutes later... Then the service was horrible. They always try to get you to go their top dollar nail care and if you tell them no then they proceed to treat you like poor trash. I chose their "deluxe" package due to time and all I got was attitude and someone who barely wanted to touch my feet which is their job. I watched the guy watch his timer til it was time to be done with my "massage" (two fingers barley pressing on my feet) like he didn't want to be there. Then the guy was such in a rush that he got polish on my sandals and didn't even paint my nails fully. I will never be back. Unsure of why this place has such low ratings, but I've always had amazing service and the staff are so friendly, efficient, make sure they take their time getting everything right, and communicate with what you want before they start. Let me start off by saying this: I've been coming to Royal Nail periodically since I was a sophomore in high school (roughly 6 years). I've never had issues prior to my recent visit. The staff was friendly and the service was good quality, but today marked the end of me coming to this place. I walked in with the expectation that my pedicure was going to look better than the last one. WRONG. 1. I like to keep my toenails at a certain length. Not too long but not too short either. The nail tech cut all of my toenails down to the nub. Plus she picked and plucked around my toenails as if I had chicken feathers. 2. When it comes to length of the service duration. They are typically good at getting me in and out in a decent time (typically 45 minutes). But this time I was in the chair for over an hour and 15 minutes with a simple pedicure. Overall, I was displeased with my service and very disappointed. I won't be coming back. read more

I just moved to the area, and I picked this salon because it's close to my home. I called the day before and set an appointment for the next day at 4pm. I arrived there at 350 and wasn't nicely greeted. I was just told to wash my hands then I received no direction. I sat down with two other girls who were helped before me ( I didn't mind) I wasn't told to where to look for the colors I wanted or given an explanation for why I sat there for 40 mins when I had an appointment. A man finally came up and told me to sit at his station, then told me I had to wait. He then started on a girl who was sitting next to me, this is now almost a hour after my original appointment time. On top of everything there was a very loud eccentric mail tech at the front that kept saying she doesn't like drama and that she's having a bad day and everything is so behind. I'm very understanding, but their customer service sucked. I eventually called another salon who told me to come straight in and they took care of me immediately. Do better Royal nails. read more

I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! I recently decided to try a different salon in my area and came across this one. Equally as convenient to my house, so I thought I would give it a shot. My very first visit was 6 days from the time of this review, and my second visit was today. My first visit I brought a picture with me, (the red nails below with jewels). What I was told was that they didn't have any gems and would not be able to do that. Perfectly fine. However, what he did on all of my nails was not what we agreed upon. (See second picture). Now I asked for the square shape, but that was it. He picked the color and did the rest. The manicure was overall okay, but not even close to what I was looking for. (Was going for more of a fall feel and got a more Christmas feel). What happened today was beyond belief. I came in with both of the thumb nails fallen off and my left pinky nail peeling up. I came in saying I wanted both of the thumb nails replaced and the pinky nail fixed, that's it. After a 45 minute wait time, I finally got seated with the same guy from before and asked me again what I wanted and again I said Replace the thumb nails and the pinky nail. So he told me to find my color that I had picked last time and handed me a completely different thing then what I had (handed me sns colors instead of acrylic). Then after about another 10 minutes we finally figure out what color it was. So he started the electric Dremel on the pinky nail and it was all going well, then he started on my ring finger and my middle finger! I stopped him and said "I thought we were just doing the thumbs and pinky?" And he said "Well you need a fill in." Number 1, I was in there 6 days ago, if I needed a fill in, something was done incorrectly the first time. Number 2, why would you decide to do more work than the customer asked for without making sure it was okay with them first? And Number 3, when I asked how much a fill in was, he told me $35, (Keep in mind I paid $38 for a full set). So I said well how about I just pay for the full set and get a different color and get something that I actually would like. So I pick out the new color and he starts clipping off the old nails with the cuticle nippers. After he gets a descent bit off, he grabs a nail form and slides it between the acrylic and my nail!!! OUCH. So I told him it hurt and jumped back several times and he just patted my hand and continued. Like seriously?! Then after getting all the nails off, he did the usual buffing and putting the forms on, etc. He's got the acrylic on and starting to buff them with the electric Dremel and ran over my skin behind my cuticle line! So of course I jump and tell him, it hurt and he patted my hand again!! So at this point I'm kinda pissed but I figure its not going to happen again and it'll be fine. I was wrong. He gets to buffing the other hand and did the exact same thing on my middle finger on the other side! Now this time I'm bleeding and I'm pissed. So he apologizes and keeps going. Later on he was using a nail file and was taking down the edges, he took the file off my nails and filed down part of his thumb nail and continued to file my nails with the same file!!!!!! Fast forward, its finally all over with and I get up to the register. He doesn't tell me my total but I'm looking at the pin pad waiting for it to tell me something. When the number pops up it says $43. (Remember, I paid $38 last time). So I asked "Why is it $43 when last time it was $38?" And he said "Its because I put an extra layer of gel on your nails when I was done buffing (What? That's a normal thing to put a clear coat on last, and he did that last time as well) So I said "Yes but you did that last time as well and it was $38. Another lady chimes in and says its because the old ones. "So you charged me extra to take off the old nails and didn't tell me?", to which he responded "yes." If I would have known that to begin with, I would've walked out of the salon, peeled them all off and came back in and would've not been half as painful! This nail salon has been my favorite for over 10 years. The last 3 times I went the service has been going down. Today was the worst. I care for Mary and Tony. I am so sorry to say this...they made me and my daughter feel uncomfortable. When you get your acrylic nails done with lots of sparkly things and it looks so bad that you ask them to paint over it with a regular nail polish and they still charge you for that it really is sad. The prices are very reasonable for the option of your choosing and the workers always make sure you are happy with the result and if you aren't you can tell them and they will happily fix it for you without a problem. Very dissapointed in this spa! It is close to my house and always really busy. I had to walk out one another time becuase they sat me in a chair and 45min later still could not get to me. On Friday, I decided to make an appointment to make sure I don't run into this issue. I brought my mom and my 4 year old daughter with me. As it was my daughter's first time I was so excited to put her in the little chair and give her a good experience. Long story short, they completed my mom's manicure and my pedicure and they still did not touch my daughter. I asked half way through for them to turn on the water for her since she was getting impatient. The lady up front kept taking other adults and ignoring her. The workers around me commented how I should raise hell so the lady making the decisions can take my daughter otherwise she will not bring enough profit and she will keep taking others. This is absolute crap and not good business! What you have to realize is that my daughter may have not brought in as much profit as the other adults but I made an appointment for her and also paid $36 for a pedicure that I can get somewhere else for much cheaper and better. I've been about 4 times and it's been fine. I went in for a manipedi yesterday. The nail tech started talking about how she sees visions and at the moment she was hearing a puppy crying in the hot sun and was so upset she couldn't find it. She kept going on and on how she blocks energy and can read people. She barely rubbed my feet or legs. She talked the entire time. I was in the chair for 2 hours and finally had to say I couldn't get the manicure because I had simply ran out of time. She asked me, " did I scare you off"? The owner immediately came over and said they'd paint my nails and she buffed them and said she was sorry. She was very sweet. It wasn't her fault. This lady who did my toes had some serious mental issues I'm afraid. I will not be going back. read more

During COVID-19 this place has had good standers. However they are lacking on customer service. They had one worker who does not do anything at all the only thing she did was talk to her mom while she is on her phone. I was happy with my pedicure. But I have to wait over an hour to get it. And it was not because there were a lot of people it was because Not one of the workers were helping with filling the empty seats.
