they phoned me today 19/10/2011 to tell me that a delivery would be delivered on the 21/10/2011…read more this was after kays ltd had emailed me to advice me that the said parcel would be delivered on or before the 20/10/2011 when i told them that i had arranged to get the thursday the 20 off & that i would not be in on friday woman on the phone got very stroppy & asked if they could put it in garage ect & i said i didnt have one or any other place to leave said parcel as i knew it was a fridge freezer( i mean you couldnt ask someone to take it in) they then put the phone down on me when i tried 1471 it was withheld so i got their number off Internet phoned them but no answer .So i do not know whats happening. Tried for email address none listed very ignorant company will complain to senders of said goods

Sometimes I like to Yelp as a form of therapy. Now is one of these times. I need to get my UPS rant…read moreoff my chest and then I can move on with my life and never deal with UPS again. So, I was due to receive a parcel from UPS on Thursday. It didn't arrive, and I didn't get a missed delivery slip. I didn't get one on Friday either. Or on Saturday. So I checked the tracking online which said "the company or receiver name is incorrect." Ok, interesting. The name on the parcel was Briony Yelp, which yes, isn't my actual correct name but who are they to know that's not my name?! I might have changed it by deed poll for all they know! On Monday morning, the sender of the parcel (our head office) called UPS to arrange for the parcel to be delivered on Tuesday. On Tuesday morning the tracking still showed that it was being held at their office rather than out for delivery, meaning I had to drive to Motherwell to collect it. That's a 50 mile round trip from my house. 50 MILES. It took nearly 2 hours and I was raging. At the depot, they couldn't explain what the issue was and why they couldn't get in touch with the sender to sort out the "issue" with the name on the parcel. So yeh, I will not be using UPS ever again after this debacle. Trying to contact them is nearly impossible - their phone system is automated and there isn't an option to speak to someone. I only got to speak to someone by complaining via twitter on Tuesday and when they phoned me, they admitted they had no actual idea where my parcel was - whether it was out for deliver or held at the depot. UPS. Never again.

This company took next day delivery of my Hallowe'en fabric which left the vendor on a Friday. It…read morearrived on the next available delivery day of Monday to their credit. However, I was not at home. Before I continue, I'd like to say that I find couriers that only deliver between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, exceptionally inconvenient. These are the hours when most people are working... WHY WOULD YOU NOT DO ANY OTHER DAY OR TIME?!?! Naughty couriers. ¬_¬ Anyway, I could have had someone wait in for the package, but by the time I picked up the card it was after 7.30pm and that meant that I'd have to wait until Wednesday to get my package. This was not an acceptable delay for me, as I'd already had a cafuffle getting the fabric dispatched in the first place and I was now on a very tight deadline. So off to Bellshill I toddled! Bellshill is pretty out of the way for me, and this office is not easy to get to unless you have a car. I looked up public transport options, and found that there was no direct route from my home. Thankfully, my father dearest offered to take me to pick up my package, an option that not everyone will have available to them. The depot is somewhere in a maze of an industrial estate, and we took a few wrong turns before eventually finding the place. The reception is difficult to access, as it's crammed in a tiny space where cars have little space to park, a sharp contrast to the masses of space for the business's loading bay at the back. When I got inside, I was confronted with a relatively short, narrow corridor with a reception window near the entrance but it was closed, so I had to wander over to the (thankfully open) office door to get someone's attention. The staff did seem to operate efficiently, though, and they were also really nice - they even let my dad use the loo. It didn't take them that long to bring out my package, but while I was waiting I was having to dodge people coming in and out of the loading bay, the entrance of which was directly adjacent to the office. Clearly, this business was developed to serve other businesses, and in that respect I'm sure they are very efficient, but the overall set-up of this courier is not convenient for domestic deliveries at all.
