This is a terrible place. I walked in to see if they were hiring but "Queenie" as she likes to call herself, said yes but not you. I am sure it was due to the fact I had grey hair. So luck was on my side that day. My daughter later went to work for her. She hires girls/women that need a job so badly she treats them like crap. Very racist. Her husband isn't any better. They often short the girls on pay. I am very sincere when I say do not use them. I wish the labor board would check on them. Thank you. 0 star rating. First off the owner Christine fires me for being a breastfeeding mother since I needed to pump every 3 hours for 15 minutes. That's to start... additionally This company should not be allowed in business. They are cheap and complete frauds. The owners are sloppy, disrespectful and have a continuous revolving door of staff. I've spoken to a few of the maids and they hate working for that couple. They are treated unfairly and are paid below minimum wage. I would reconsider having them in my home. The owners wife had said multiple times you hated children including her husbands grandchildren but claims it's ok if you have them. That's professional!!! If you're looking for an honest cleaner, keep looking because this isn't it! I was price shopping for house cleaners on July 27th. I called Royal Maids and Christine identified herself as one of the owners of the company. She gave me a rate of $180 to clean the inside of my house. It has 4 bdrms, 2baths, a kitchen, living room, dining room and a den. A total of 1500 heated square feet. July 31st Christine called me and said when her workers went into the house they called her to say the job was going to take longer than they were told. Christine told them to start cleaning. Supposedly 3 hours later she calls me to say she wants another $180 to finish the job. I told her she quoted me $180 to clean my whole house and that's what I expect her to do. Christine said she's not going to send her people back tomorrow unless I agreed to pay her an additional $180. I told her what she was doing was a bait & switch and unless she was going to finish the job she agreed to do at the rate she agreed to do it at, that her services were no longer needed and her employees were to leave immediately and that's what they did, leave. On her website it's posted, SATISFACTION GUARANTEE POLICY - If you are not satisfied with your house cleaning call within 12 hours and we will be glad to rectify any problems free of charge. Refunds are not available. Apparently this is not true because she refused to rectify my problem when we spoke on the phone and after I sent an email. Before any work was done, she should've called me right after speaking her employees. She knew from our earlier talks I'm the only one working in my house supporting a family of four, yet she tried to take advantage of my family anyway. The second cleaner I hired took pictures of how dirty the house was and wrote a statement questioning if any cleaning was done at all. They came to my home because I was I'll after having 2 hip replacemts in a 5 day period and it had been 3mos since I had cleaned. My house needed dusting of everything vacuuming mopping. I was supposed to have a deep cleaning it wasnt even a normal clean... They had even forgot one bedroom??? Dust was everywhere throughout the house. The same 2 maids came back the next day and the maids made every excuse why they had FORGOTTEN alot if things like they were too short didn't have enough time. On 1-22-2020 they were in my development at a house and a resident was driving by and caught one of the maids emptying out the vacuum in the people's front yard... The driver by took a picture of the royal maids car in the driveway and it was MAIDS 9. There was NO pride taken in my house forgot a lot of things on the deep cleaning check sheet??? I always receive excellent service and a thorough cleaning whenever I have used this company. Sometimes different teams of 2 have come to clean my 3BR 3BA condo in Cherry Grove. The cleaners always arrive on time and exceed my expectations. Today, I had the team of Terri and Gail and they were truly outstanding in work ethic and customer service. My condo looks perfectly pristine and my floors and sliding doors shine. My husband said it has never looked better!! I highly recommend this company. The owner was able to schedule my cleaning on one day's notice. I'm a happy customer! read more

She gave me a rate of $180 to clean the inside of my house & did not mention any time limits. While the truck was being loaded Saturday my wife and her friends helped with the light stuff and lightly cleaned the house as we emptied each room. Saturday evening we all drove to VA. On the afternoon of July 31st she called me and tried to extort an additional $180 for the job. Perhaps she thought because she waited until the last minute to contact me that I wouldn't have any other options but to pay her before my tenants moved. Perhaps her workers thought they could get paid more by claiming the job was bigger than it really was. I don't know. She claimed when her workers went into the house they called her immediately to say the job was going to take longer than the 3 hours she told them it was going to take. An honest business owner who discussed a time limit with me would've contacted their client to advise me of the situation and to get authorization to begin the work and for the extra charges. That wasn't done here because Royal Maids is not an honest company. I told her you quoted me $180 to CLEAN the inside of MY WHOLE HOUSE and that's what I expect your people to do. She said she's not going to send her people back tomorrow unless I agreed to pay her an additional $180. If I could do zero stars I would! It has taken me awhile to leave a review because we had our cleaning and then left for a 2 week vacation. I had all intention of having a good "spring cleaning" right before we left for vacation and come home to an immaculate home. Well... that was not the case! I was impressed and had high hopes when "the owner" Lord Raymond came to give me my quote. It was everything I wanted and willing to pay the price. Well if he is indeed everything he proclaims, he needs to be more on top of his business. I had an entire bedroom missed, there was not floor to ceiling service done. I have come back to discover that things were not only not completed but there was dust bunnies pushed under large furniture. Raymond took pride in the "service they provide" well sir there is lack of service provided. To top everything off as the ladies were leaving my house I heard "and she didn't leave a tip" No I didn't!!! You didn't deserve one! In case there is anyone that wants to dispute this... you do not clean floors with water! They used nothing but water to "clean" my floors. read more

I do not recommend using the Royal Maids for any cleaning services. The promises were great, the list of items that were included in each cleaning were standard. The salesman (owner) was charming and had a creative pitch and we were excited by his promise of excellence. Unfortunately, after the first, very expensive first cleaning, the promised delivery, cleaning service and punctionality was not delivered as agreed. We have a very small, two bedroom condominium which two ladies spent barely1 hour cleaning for the cost of $100.00. After 1 month and 2 bi-weekly cleanings, the baseboards were dusty, the shower door and floor, continued to have orange stains, soap dishes were not wiped, ledges holding shampoo bottles were never cleaned and the list goes on. I complained one time, causing our bi-weekly schedule to be changed at the last minute, cancellations of our bi-weekly cleaning, because not enough "girls" showed up, switching of days, not showing up at the appointed timeframes, etc. The co-owners attitude is not directed at enhancing customer satisfaction. I would never recommend this company to any of my friends or neighbors in my building. read more
