He then very quickly got back to us with exact quotes for each of the two possible solutions, and advised of a multi-week back order for the main part. DO NOT use Avi's Appliance repair. Here's why. In late…read moreNovember, my fridge stopped working. It wouldn't keep anything cool or frozen. Spoke with a friend to see if he knew a good appliance repair company. He gave me the number for Avi's Appliance Repair. I contacted him and he came the next day to check it out. Nov 21st, 2024. He install a couple parts. I paid him $306.20 for a diagnostic/parts/labor. I called him the next day as the fridge still wasn't working. He returned Nov 25th, 2024 to check the fridge, installed additional parts and I paid him a total of $195.67 for the parts/labor. The next day I called him back to tell him the fridge still wasn't working. He told me to wait a day or two for the fridge to get cold. This didn't happen. He came back a couple days later and told us we needed a new compressor. It was covered by a ten warranty from Samsung. I called Samsung and they said I had to pay for the replacement and then they would refund my money. Avi ordered the compressor on a 22-day rush order, and I transferred him $433.27 for the part. That was on Dec 2nd, 2024. Due to the postal strike, I assumed this would be delayed. As of today, I still have not received the part. After multiple texts with Avi, he keeps telling me he is having trouble with his supplier getting the compressor. He said he could get me a refund if I would prefer. I asked him for the Purchase Order number and/or a copy of the confirmation email so I could contact the supplier directly, he said the supplier wouldn't give me any info. He just needed more time, and he would get me a refund. This was May 12th. After nine more texts since that day asking for my refund, he hasn't responded to me once. After almost a year, I'm out just shy of a $1000 bucks and the bill of a new fridge. No quality, no value, just got ripped off. Tim P.

Capital Appliance was sent out by Electrolux as my fridge was having a lot of condensation issues…read moreand was under warranty. Capital Appliance did not fix my fridge that was under warranty from Frigidaire. My fridge is now out of warranty. The request was put in April. Their tech came out in April, nothing was replaced or fixed. No one came back out until September to replace a back panel. That did not fix the condensation issue. The tech's damaged the fridge, floors, and oven. The tech cracked a hole in my fridge that condensation is not getting into. The owner Robert made it seem he was working with Electrolux to replace the fridge unit. Is not responsive to emails and phone calls. Found out from Electrolux that Capital Appliance closed my file behind by back. They lied to Electrolux about the diagnosis, lied about fixing the fridge, lied about the parts that were fixed, and pushed my fridge outside of warranty. My fridge is still not fixed and the owner/business will not respond to my emails. I would not recommend Capital Appliance and I would not recommend Frigidaire/Electrolux products.

Peter was in the area, and arranged to come within a couple hours. He was properly masked, had all of his tools, and went straight to work. Within 15 minutes he discovered the problem. The bad news was that the stove could not be fixed and would have to be replaced. Peter gave me some recommendations on new stoves to consider, which to avoid, and even which retailers to contact. He also alerted me about a couple installation issues I might encounter, given my countertop configuration. All really valuable advice. Peter is also a very pleasant guy, and is easy to talk to. Eventually I called Quality Appliance Repair and at the price of $145 just to show up and guaranteed this charge will be included in a total repair charge. Technician showed up and I explained what is wrong with the ice maker, it all took five minutes for him to scratch his head and google on his phone, not even taking any tools out of his toolbox and his diagnosis was "my ice maker is broken" which I already told to him. For some reason they couldn't get the part and they left me with no solution and just a bill for five minutes of what they call technician diagnostics just for him to show up. So just be aware of this business, it's not necessarily scam but they prey on someone like you, I paid $145 for nothing and hope you will not.
