After my horrible experience with Victor's Metro Irrigation disservice, I just learned that Victor sold his (crappy) business, but what I mean is his contact lists to Royal Irrigation. But how would you learn about this, you'd ask, as such minor deals aren't generally advertised. Very easy - I get spam texts on my mobile. A spam I didn't subscribe to. A spam I didn't approve. And the worst part is that the spam message specifically said: "DO NOT REPLY". Clearly a beginning of a "very personal", "while glove" service we love so much from a local small business. /s It goes without saying that Royal Irrigation and their spam practices go on the permanent black list. Maybe they should rename themselves to Royal Irritation instead :) read more

I just had a sprinkler system put in this year by Royal irrigation and they have the nicest and kindest staff I have ever dealt with. No matter if it's the employees that answer the phone or the technicians that come out to help, they are delightful, professional, knowledgable and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend them any day of the week. Their prices are comparable as well and the owners want to make sure that their customers are happy. I have to give a shout out to Jim Frayey and Jay Cardoso in particular. They both were patient, kind, and thorough. We initially had positive thoughts about Royal Irrigation. We learned otherwise. I down payment was left on May 30th, with no confirmation from Royal, I called approximately 2 weeks later to see what was going on, our file actually had to be looked into to confirm the down payment. This all should have been a red flag. They finally come to do the job on June 18th. The guys cut my cable lines, which were CORRECTLY marked. I was out of work 2 days because of this. After the lines were cut, I waited a bit then went back outside to see what the guys were upto, they were gone, when 2 days passed and nobody showed up, I was told they finished the job that initial day and left without saying anything to me. We received an invoice today looking for the full balance without them deducting the deposit. Of course, a phone call was made, it just comes down to the fact that some people are not good business or customer people. There is too much to add in here. Bottom line, use with caution and stay on top of your payments and their work. read more

When I first call, it sounded like this was a company o can work with. The utilities were all marked out and all work was ready to begin. Then the first shovel hit the dirt and it was all downhill from there. They hit my fiber optic line. They claimed it was mistaken. It wasn't at all. They failed to work with me. BUYER BEWARE - I called to get an estimate from this company. They sent someone out who told me onsite that they need to charge me for a service call to give me an estimate. They then spent a few minutes reviewing my system and told me its all completely bad and needs to be replaced. The pricing was ridiculously inflated. Then they demanded cash for the trip. I called to get my money back and was told someone will get back to you which just means they are blowing me off. read more

BEWARE - Look elsewhere .... I have been dealing with Sprinklers for the last 25 years. Every year the same thing. Opening and closing/winterizing. This year the company I used to deal with went out of business and I decided to try Royal Irrigation. I have 3 zones and a cabana that the same pip as the main sprinkler system. I spoke to 2 different people from Royal clearly explaining to them my situation making sure they are prepared when they come - both confirmed their understanding and the price - 3 to 6 zones for $99. The guy comes fully unaware of the cabana and refuses to do it. Then he calls the office and confirms that the cabana is on the order. Now he wants $100 extra - again he calls the office. The office calls me, apologizes for not sending the right person - the "guy is too junior to deal with cabana and not authorized to do so" - now they need to send a more senior guy but can do it only in 6 days. "Cold is coming... Since you have made a mistake, could not you do it faster?" - the owner of the Royal - Ed - picks up the phone and makes sure I understand that he does not want my business anymore. Great... we just spent an hour arguing about something that usually takes 15-20 minutes all together. Anybody could make a mistake, but how you deal with it and the responsibility you take for it defines the way people respect your business. Royal Irrigation does not deserve any respect - look elsewhere. read more

I will never use them again. This spring was very wet and I understood there being a delay but they made no effort to reach out even though they had 60% of my money already. Finally after I reach out going wtf they say contact them next week then give me no notice on install becaude it would be the next day and I couldn't get out of work. But Ed tells my sister that he'd come by the next day to walk me through my 6k installation and to reach out to his office if I'd like that. I email multiple times over the next few weeks to no response until finally I get a rude response saying call, make an appt and someone will come out. Thanks but no thanks. Also the install cost me another $450 to fix my invisible fence (which they didn't care they'd break) and the power in my garage! Apparently they moved the inground powerline over a foot and didn't have the professionalism to let me know. The electrician said there's no way they wouldn't have known when they hit it so I lost power in half my garage and had to have line in my box replaced to the tune of $300. One of the other irrigation companies that quoted me said they'd fix the fence if they broke it because it happens so frequently.. should have used them. read more

I called Royal as my neighbor uses them as I had some issues getting my sprinkler system started this year. The guy came, I told him my problem and without hesitation and not even looking at my system he said all the valves needed replacing and another part that was leaking. He left me with a $900 estimate. Not believing them I called another company. $75 and 10 min later my system was up and running and they cleaned 3 clogged heads for no charge. So can you say crooks or scam artists or did I look like I had my fingers in the shape of an L on my forehead. Stay away.... read more

I hired the company to install sprinklers that would cover the entire front lawn and flower beds. I worked with Ed and was very clear about the area the sprinklers should cover. From day 1, after the installation, the flower beds were not being completely covered. The company apologized and sent a technician out 4 times to try to resolve the issue with no success. After the 4th attempt, I received an email from Ed stating the flower beds were not covered in the initial contract and there would be an extra fee. It was clear after the multiple discussions with the company, the job was not done correctly the first time. I will hire another company to fix their error. I would really like to give no star'S but unfortunately I would be unable to post this review. PLEASE...I REPEAT...PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW this company to install your sprinkler system. The owner comes off as this pleasant guy next door type but really is out to take your money. I don't have enough space nor time to tell you how unprofessional these people are. Initially you're told by the owner that he made an appointment which was of course cancelled after you rearrange your work schedule. Also you're told that he(the owner Ed) would oversee the process which never happened. To top things off while installing the water line, they burned my siding and never had it replaced or repaired. They claimed responsibility but never agreed to take ownership of the repair, they asked for me to find my own quotes and then stated the quotes were unacceptable and that I was trying to rip them off when I welcomed them to find someone to fix it which never happened. And to think I paid them, who ripped who off? By the way, on the last visit the gentleman was smoking in my garage which was one of the most disrespectful acts as a visitor in someone's home. My cousin who is an attorney actually has them on her radar but being a single mom with three kids she told me I shouldn't waste valuable energy I should be spending with my children which I had to finally agree. POOR COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. I called and made an appointment with royal irrigation a few weeks ago. I had warren one of the owners come to my home sat. I was at work but my wife showed him all Around. He seemed professional and said he would email me the estimate on Monday since the office was closed on the weekends. Well Monday came Around and no estimate. I texted warren a few times and got no response. I called the office today and I'm assuming it was the secretary that answered and she said she would find out what happened and call me back. Well a few hours past and she called and said she spoke with warren and ed and they were not interested in doing my job. Instead of being professional and juts telling me that they blew me off for days. I'm still not sure why they didn't want to do my job but that's ok. I'll have the guy that did my front yard.
