    Pine Cabin

This place is so cute! My daughter and I stayed one night in the small pine cabin. We weren't at the property long enough to enjoy many amenities but they were available - fire pits, yard games, etc. the property was very well maintained. The bed was comfy. My only very small complaint is the swamp cooler was pretty loud but it beats being HOT! The bath house was nothing fancy but tidy and had everything you'd need. The property was not busy when we were there so we only saw one other person in the bath house. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. It definitely beats a run down hotel. We walked across 50 to have dinner at White Water. Side note, I accidentally left my air pods behind and they actually sent them back to me (I paid shipping of course). I was so pleasantly surprised - I thought they were long gone. So they have honest staff also. Great place!

From pre-check in to check out this place is awesome. Called for info on check on and Manager was pleasant, easy to understand and very accommodating. Let us check in a bit early which was great. And since weather was crazy and snowy, they upgraded us to a double cabin for ease of access. The cabin is incredible. Every nook of this place is well thought out. A family could easily stay here for a week and have all the amenities of home. Kitchen was beautiful and had all cooking supplies you could need and with the outdoor grill on our patio, cooking an amazing dinner for my husband was cozy and comfortable. We will be back to spend more time here in the summer because the views are incredible.

About $500/night because it was a busy weekend. A week before we were to arrive, they cancelled the reservation because they said they double booked it. To say they screwed us, and left us hanging out to dry is an understatement. By the time we scrambled to rebook, literally everything in town was taken. They ruined the trip. And the best they could do was to say "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." They're listed as Superhosts on Air BnB, which is a total joke. DO NOT use them.

We booked the River Ranch & Valley Ranch for a few nights last summer for our family reunion. What an incredible deal and top notch accommodations! We were able to take advantage of the white water rafting and zip line tours they offered and their office helped us book a trip with the local train and ATV tours. The River Ranch has a nice open feel to it which made it great for bringing our family together. The fire pit out back made for campfire fun with the kids and smores of course were a huge hit! We took advantage of their private beach across the river from the ranch house which was great fun and a huge perk. The hot tubs were relaxing and a welcome sight at the end of each day. Overall the river ranch was just perfect for our group. The Valley Ranch is a massive lodge style house with 3 expansive levels where the kids ran wild. Everything about the place was quality except for the bathroom toilet downstairs but they replaced it as we were leaving as it was slow to do its job. Aside from the minor hiccup the place was incredible and easily accommodated 25 people in our family. The double ovens made for quick cooking for 43 of us and the short hiking trails out back made for a great way to get out with the entire family after meals. Huge patios, huge decks, hot tubs, some local wildlife viewing(4 legged type), and great hosts will bring us back in the future. Maybe next time we will get the other "Parkdale" house too. We will be back! Be sure to book their raft and zip tours! We found them online, just google royal gorge rafting and zip line tours. P.S. Bono and the entire guide staff were incredible!

I will admit I was a little bit worried about this campsite because of the reviews complaining…read moreabout noise and privacy. But I booked it anyway because it was right across the street from the white water rafting company we booked a trip with. It was honestly much better than I was expecting. It was a lovely, clean campsite with a really nice bathhouse with bathrooms, showers and laundry. Definitely not a wilderness camping experience but great for families. We booked campsite #1 and we felt like it was a really great spot. One of the bigger ones for sure. The cons were the bathrooms being REALLY far away (we drove up to them most of the time) yet definitely not enough privacy to "go" outside. There was a helicopter across the street and bar with live music but we couldn't really hear either at night where our camp was so it didn't bother us. PS the food at the bar and grill is AMAZING. One thing to keep in mind is that there are very few trees or shade and temperatures were in the high 90's early 100's this past weekend so it was a little brutal. But overall we had a great time and I thought it was a really nice commercial campground. The kids had a blast. The glamping tents looked awesome. However minus one star for Amanda at the front desk who was incredibly, openly rude and nasty to my husband for NO reason (he is the nicest person ever). He is rarely ever bothered by rudeness and it really put him (and so, us) in a bad head space on arrival. She needs some serious customer service re-training. HOWEVER, all the other staff members we encountered were wonderful and made up for her foulness.

This place is fantastic. It deserves 3.75 stars. The service, amenities, view and cleanliness are…read moreoutstanding. The toilets are clean, 2 stalls in each men's and women's bathrooms and sink with soap and warm water. Showers are split up the same way and connects to a laundry facility. All very clean. You can take 5 min warm showers and the tent came with a nice set of towels, wash cloths, soaps, lotion and a bag of ice. I traded the ice for credit to the fire wood since it was SO cold. It was a decent 63 during the day and 44 at night. The cons? The camp sites are SUPER close together so it forced interaction with other people 10 feet away. I wanted more privacy and isolation as did others around me, so that was awkward. Also, it's noisy. It's across the street from the helicopter tours AND the highway. There was pretty much traffic noise the entire time and also campers coming and going at all hours shining headlights into the tent and being loud. I was woken up a bunch and it was hard to sleep. I can tell that the shed with bed is quieter and probably warmer. The multi floor condos look nice too but again really close together. I think if you set your expectations before you get here you can have a nice time. They need to put in some tall plants between the units or something to break it up and add privacy.

Unbelievable experience and worth every penny!…read more We were so excited to to experience this after years of seeing scenic train rides online. It was on our must do list for our first time in colorado. We purchased tickets online about a month before our trip. The one con is you may be seated with people outside your party depending on the table. I wish they would put this disclaimer online so we could've purchased an extra seat to have that privacy and comfortability. The views were immaculate especially with the fresh powder. All the staff on board were great and attentive. The food was pretty good too. I opted for the chicken sandwich; which was flavorful and juicy. We really enjoyed the bar cart LOL and the open air cart was perfect for the views and pictures. Cons: we found a hair in our welcome cookie and with the price of admission i wish we had our own table and space. Overall, i would recommend taking the family and loved ones on this experience.

I sat in one of the Vista Dome cars, where the ceiling is glass so you can see everything above you, and it was 100% worth it. I ordered the wine flight, and every wine on it was delicious. I also got the burger with a side salad, and honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect much since it's "train food," but the burger was really good--juicy, not dry at all, with a perfectly balanced bun that didn't overpower the meat. I genuinely enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly--very kind, attentive, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. There are several different cars you can choose from: a dining car with a bar, the Vista Dome, or regular coach seating. I went with the Vista Dome and would absolutely choose it again. I also tried the cheesecake. It was okay, but not something I'd order again. That said, everything else more than made up for it. One of the highlights was that there are two open-air cars where you can step outside and take in the views. The ride through the mountains was beautiful, the river was stunning, and stopping near the bridge for about 20 minutes was really cool and gave you time to soak it all in. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I will absolutely do this again. Highly recommend if you're in the area. I will also say with this train.Make sure you sit on the left side of the train. Not the right cause the left side has all the good views. The right has o k views
