    Bathroom vent

    Great location but do NOT stay in unit 204 (thru Dunes Realty). Needs updated. Looks like it hasn't been touched since the owners bought it however many years ago. Carpet and tile badly stained. Baseboards bring, dirty, unsightly. Bedspread and blankets are 100 years old. This unit is a dump.

    Came here during spring break and was disappointed their restaurant and snack bar were closed for the week as well as the pool being closed the first weekend we were there. We stayed in a condo through Dunes reality. It was a very good deal as a last minute booking ($900/week for two br), but the condo was very dated and small and beds extremely uncomfortable. View was fantastic. As for the actual building, the staff at "Beachside Reality" needs to get it together. There's four ladies working the desk and no one helps and they are SO SLOOOOOOOWWWWWW about every little thing which I guess can be expected in the south. Hot tub would've been nice except for the kids constantly playing in it making it hard to relax. Also, women's bathroom by the indoor pool was broken, so upon entering the cesspool of the other bathroom, there was no toilet paper and bloody paper towels everywhere. Only benefit for staying here rather than the holiday in is that you can do laundry. Otherwise, don't stay here during "off season".

    Warning for anyone moving into Apartment 5210 after we move out. There is excessive noise from the…read moreupstairs neighbor. We are waken up at 5am from loud running. On weekends and nearly every holiday break it happens to upwards of 8 - 10 hours straight daily. The banging was giving us severe migraines. We asked management for their help but unfortunately they just told us to call the cops and they can't do anything. We can call the cops as there is a noise ordinance 10pm - 7am but we do not want to go through with that. If you plan to move into Waterleaf, the apartments are wonderful but please avoid this unit! You will be stuck in a 12 month lease with no way out beside a $3,500 fine for breaking your lease.

I called 2 days into not having a dryer and was told no need to diagnose the dryer because there was a new one i could have. Days go by and still no dryer so i call back and get jennifer on the phone, and was i disappointed to say the least. Jennifer laughed when i told her i needed my dryer fixed or a new dryer immediately as inwas out of clean clothes (wearing multiple layers per day roght now in this cold). Jennifer told me "most people have at least 2 weeks of clothes and to be thankful im getting a new dryer before 2 weeks have passed" ; followed by "what is the laundry mat like 3 dollars?" When i informed her i ahd already paid $20 at washaroo to wash and dry my clothes 2 days into this. I was promised today via voicemail (i would never answer jennifer's call again in my life) the dyrwr would be installed after lunch today. No dryer, no diagnosis to even try to fix mine in tbe meantime, no community wash on site, and jennifer just laughing and informing me most people have "2 weeks of coothes they can wear"

    Basically, even though they are not my agency at this point and have never been, I have to say that…read morethey treated me well at a time that was and is still crucial in honestly 7 years of disasters that swept the rug out from under me after the unexpected death of Daddy and lingering death of Mother. I will have my house ready with great improvements for next season. It needs some outside work; yet, I have paid a few for poor work that needs to be redone. It doesn't affect the great porches, comfy inside, and the pretty yard. Inside, I feel will be even more fun for my summer renters (and we had repeated renters for 40 plus years prior to my own tragedies). When I do choose an agency, I hope to say that they have the same qualities of Jimmy Smith and staff. Jimmy and staff worked with me as I tried to get my house back on the market with a severe and dangerous spine injury (and a couple hurricanes as well as a flooded house in the north hindering me) ... refusing to give up while mourning the loss of my adored parents who were my world. They were helpful, EXTREMELY patient with me, and I can never thank them enough. Yes, you want a great vacation and vacation home. They certainly have them. Several agencies do. Most of your vacations are probably with family, so if you can consider the fact that these people genuinely care and showed concern for my family, give them credit for that. To me, as I have heard they are with their renters, these people are genuine, they care about you as well as their reputation, they are honest, they will do the right thing and not give you the run around, and they have class. I look for those qualities in people and will in the agency I choose to care for my beach house built and maintained with family love. Honesty and ethics are at the top of my list, and I would not support anyone lacking those qualities, so I feel safe in stating James W Smith and staff have earned that reputation. Check them out ... and check in!

    Called and left msgs mutliple times, sometimes the voice mail box was full and couldn't even leave…read moremessages. Complaints were not addressed. They don't answer phones or return calls. Staff in the office are rude, more interested in lunch than addressing the customer. No notice given to renters for reparis. House was not clean upon arrival.
