The receptionist, Nancy, was friendly and helpful and called a few times to confirm the appointment. Since I work full time, I had my mom at my house to let them in. The technician took a look at the problem and went outside for what seemed like a long time to my mom, but came back and replaced the tank-to-bowl kit and the flapper. He didn't communicate the problem to her or give her an estimate of the cost. An hour and a half later, he gave her a bill for $342.50. She told him, if I knew it would cost that much, I would have bought a new toilet. He charged $192.50 for 90 minutes labor (much of the time was spent getting basic parts which he should have had on his truck and talking on the phone), $25 for the flapper (fine) and $125 for the tank to bowl kit, a part which retails for $8-$25. I called the company to question them on the cost. Nancy listened to me and said she would talk to the plumber and get back to me. A few weeks went by and I hadn't heard anything. I called again. Nancy told me she had talked to the manager and he agreed to give me a $50 credit on my next service. I told her that wasn't acceptable because my mom had paid for the service and I wanted her to give her the money. Who knows when I would need plumbing again? (And, after this experience I certainly have no intention of using them.) Also, interestingly, she mentioned the person who performed the service for me was no longer with the company! She said she would talk to the manager again and get back to me. Another week has gone by, and I have heard nothing. To top it all off, the part they used is really cheap. The handle is very loose and you have to hold it down for a few seconds to get the toilet to flush. Benton's reputation has been flushed down the toilet by United Plumbing.

Answering the phone call late night is amazing enough, but they were able to fit us in to the schedule first thing this morning. Our suspicions of a blown out water heater were confirmed by Sam and he was able to thoroughly point out the issue. He managed to get us a brand new system and installed it up to today's codes. Before he wrapped up as he always does he explained everything he did. Talked to us about the warranty and how to make sure the system lasts us as long as possible. It's always a pleasure to use these guys. I can't say enough about how clean the work is. They are professional, ethical, and efficient. Their team was able to find it quickly and handle the situation. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took care of the entire job without cutting corners. Communication was great throughout the process, they showed up on time, answered all of our questions (and I had many!), and left the work area clean when they were finished. Replacing a septic tank is a big job, but they made the whole experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. They'll give you a window of time but often the plumbers would arrive late. They were competent at their jobs though. Recently though it feels like they're always trying to sell me something I don't need and the prices are outrageous. They have a VIP monthly package that gets reduced prices but the starting point is so high it doesn't even matter. Not to mention they're constantly trying to sell services you didn't call them for. I've had employees complain to me in private about the owner Sam and how he's become really pushy. I hadn't talked to Sam much before but sure enough, after I told his plumber I didnt want to do all the work that I hadn't called him for, I get a looooong text from Sam trying to talk me into all these extra services. I just got tired of it man. Just fix what I asked you to fix and stop trying to upsell me. Thankfully I found other plumbers that are willing to do that for more reasonably prices.
