For what seemed to be a fairly new store, the cleanliness was nonexistent. Genuinely unsure how often they clean, and that's not great when you're looking for convenient food items. I ran in to use the bathroom (urgent) and there was barely any toilet paper left and there was NO soap at all in the women's room. Ugh. Fortunately, I had hand sanitizer on me, but that and the general stickiness of the place caused me to walk out without buying anything. Just go to Wawa instead. read more

For the past 2 weeks or so they have been having issues with their gas pumps running slow, however this has resulted in their pumps being inaccurate. Causing them to over charge people by approximately 30% on gas purchases. I contacted the store and corporate office to let them know and have gotten no response. They are aware of the issue and are knowingly ripping off their gas customers. read more

The worst chicken I've had. Dry. Over cooked and probably the most undernourished chicken I've ever had. 2 breasts and they were so bad they went straight into the trash. Gas is 20 cents a gallon more expensive than the Wawa. Is that even possible? What a disgrace. read more

Not a place I will ever return to. The self serve coffee machines that grind the beans fresh for each cup is a cool concept but the machines were dirty. Not only were they visibly dirty but when I pressed the screen on 3 of the machines there was a message in red text that stated "cleaning required" so I can only assume the inside of the machine was not clean either. They had a table with a selection of generic coffee creamers and half of the bottles were empty. The coffee was decent but the iced coffee (salted caramel) was so bad we spilled it out. As far as the rest of the place it was not clean either and I almost fell walking up to the single register that was not self service when I slipped on the super GREASY floor. I stood at the register with my 2 hot coffees, some snacks, and an ice coffee while the cashier was having a conversation with another employee. They both saw me but just continued to ignore me and converse with each other. I let it go for 2 minutes then spoke up and asked if they could ring up my purchase. On my way out I felt my shoes sliding on the greasy floor. I assume it's from the fries and fried chicken sitting in the steam tables next to the registers. I usually enjoy popping into Royal Farms from time to time for their fried chicken. Yesterday, I was super-hungry after sitting in shore traffic for an interminable amount of time. First stop upon entering the store is the soft drink fountain. Oops..., no cups (??!!) available at the soft drink fountain. OK, I guess I will get a bottle of something to tide me over. I order my chicken and go to pay for it. Oops..., the payment processing machine isn't working. A human comes over and, after a bit of time, accepts my payment. I pick up my chicken and my side order of pasta salad. Let me go grab a fork for the pasta salad. Oops, we have no forks. Well, I have a fork in the car, I'll eat the pasta salad a little later. Last but not least, napkins for the grease on the fried chicken. Oops, we have NO NAPKINS in the entire store! I am totally sympathetic to the supply chain issues that stores are grappling with these days, but I think this is a little bit over-the-top ridiculous. Sadly, super slow service last 2 times there. Waiting on cashiers at register. Trying to beat the rain, but slow service got me caught both times lol. Will just go to wawa from now on. Maybe try it again in future and see if improved. Waited like 10 minutes for cashier. Another customer/guy was waiting too but walked out. Couldn't see if he took anything with him, but gosh, it was like a ghost town. Anyone could've walked in and out with merchandise and workers wouldn't have known. Shame!!! Guy in back looked like he was cleaning, was helpful and went to look for cashier. Some young people came in to get food and were waiting also. Said they just wanted fries lol. They must taste really good, because they most definitely can't be fresh. Worker asks can I help you but before he could ring me up, proceeded to count his drawer/signing in... I was like are you serious. NO CHICKEN FOR ME AND THEY CALLED ME A LIAR! Purchase 2 orders of 5 pc chicken tenders with fries substituted Mac and cheese and 2 biscuits and another 5 pc tenders for $47.86. They only gave me the 2 meals. I never got my 5 pc tender. Called them right away and they said they can't help me because the manager won't be in till tomorrow and they have to view the cameras. Called RF corporate office . The record said to go online and request someone to call me regarding this matter and someone will get back to me within 24 hours depending on how busy they are ! Fine! Called RF the next day. Spoke to the mgr. She looked at the video and said I got my chicken but it was 2 boxes with 5 pc and 1 box of biscuits . 2 Mac and cheese and sauces. Was in the area, this seemed to be the only would be gas station around since I don't have a Sams Club membership and that's the other one. So it's around 6pm on a Tuesday and wth I pull in and there's the ever present Jersey CONES in front of every pump. This Royal Farms is a newer store however it's always so dirty inside. The chicken is dry... You are known for your chicken that should be the best experience coming into the store. But the young girl has long Elvira nails on and doesn't want to wear gloves. She was trying to handle my chicken and I asked her are you going to put gloves on? She had already opened my box and put her dirty ass hands inside the box to put the tissue paper in. And then told me the chicken would be 20 minutes for two pieces of thighs.. First time at this location and will definitely be going back. Ordered chicken platters for the granddaughters birthday party and the service was great and friendly, and the chicken was delicious. The assistant manager Jennifer, was very helpful as she helped me with the coffee since I always go to a competitor, but after finding out that this is a fresh ground coffee maker every time I'm down that way I will be stopping in for my morning coffee. read more

I pulled in for gas at this horrible place and waited by the pumps for ever and an attendant never came. I could see one sitting at a table inside eating and playing on his phone. This is exactly why we need to be able to pump our own gas in NJ instead of waiting for these burnout high school dropouts to come pump it for you. Serve old chicken. The chicken leg looked half eaten, so dried up and chewy. Heard they were supposed to be good. Must have just gone to a bad location. This is the worst RoyalFarms I have ever been to. The service is absolutely terrible, the store and bathroom are dirty. There was a couple item that I picked up that the date and time expired hours ago on it and it was still out. The food that I ordered took so long to be ready and when I got it it wad cold and dry like it was sitting for awhile. When I asked how long it was cooked I was told 15 minutes ago,but the way it was I don't belive that. They seemed to be under staffed because the same person that made my food hand to check me out. I even had to wait long for him to come. I was told to use the self checkout but it was working right. What should have been a 10 minute stop took over 45 minutes. I will never go back there again. I wouldn't suggest anyone else go there either. You would figure with it being next to the highway it would be better but I was wrong. It was nothing but a waste of time and money.
