Also, the staff is always super helpful & to make matters even better, they have a Starbucks. What's special about a Starbucks you ask? Well, sometimes... in my history with chains being inside of other stores, the quality isn't as good as the actual stores bc they're licensed stores and aren't held to the same standard, and quality of the actual franchises. The ambience of this store is amazing. I love the fact that everyone is so friendly even if you walk in the Giant and don't know anyone they are all here to help. They even donate their food to any of the homeless who are in need of food that come in the store and sometimes can solicit customers for a dollar or something. Usually one of the Customer Service people will take that homeless person over to the side and bring them a hot meal and or allow them to get maybe three items that they need and that Giant Stafford will pay for it so that they can have something to drink and something to eat. I think that that is beautiful. This Giant is completely is completely about kindness, compassion, and Community. This is my favorite giant food store and I love the fact that they're always supporting some charity Saint Jude American Heart Association feed the Hungary donating to their local food pantries helping kids with school supplies. I love that they have a raffle every school year beginning of the school year. I have one maybe 3 raffles and I donated all of the materials back to the Giant because I no longer have a child who's in school he's now at university so when one year one a basket full of school supplies which I donate it right back to the Giant the following year I want Thanksgiving all turkey Thanksgiving box dinner which I donated it back to the Giant because I didn't need it and then one raffle I won tickets to see the Orioles play baseball and I donated those tickets back to the Giant and they could give them to whomever they want. I told them the 251st person that walked through the store could have those tickets and they did that and I am assuming that they enjoyed themselves at the game. I don't know. I did not go. I kept being told to "finish setting up my account" while also being told I already had one. On Christmas Day, I followed the cooking instructions exactly for medium rare. I'm an experienced cook, my oven works fine, and the casseroles from HoneyBaked cooked perfectly. But the Prime Rib came out severely overcooked and dry. It was embarrassing and barely eaten -- especially frustrating for a $200 piece of meat. Corporate customer service was apologetic and said a refund was appropriate, but because it was a local pickup, the store had to handle it. When the store manager called me, the response was dismissive. I was told, "No one else had any problems" and that "everyone raved about how good it was," implying it was my fault. The only offer made was 20% off a future Easter ham -- meaning I'd have to spend more money to be "compensated" for a failed holiday meal. No follow-up ever happened after that. Between the website issues, the overcooked Prime Rib, and the poor handling of the complaint, this was not the premium experience I expected from HoneyBaked.

Food Lion has some good deals on shelf stable or what I often call pantry items. My sister always notes how good their baking aisle is. The produce section is awful and I am still haunted by their unsanitary and unsafe meat practices from the early 1990s so I still skip meat and poultry at Food Lion. The store is dated but they did recently start a renovation to make the spacing within aisles wider. It doesn't seem to be a very busy store which makes it easy to get in and get out of. The employees are generally friendly.
