Not simply because he was running late, but because the house (castle/waiting room/party room) was absolutely filthy. I was really taken aback by a business looking like this, even if it's a business that works w/ animals. When we got there, the owner and assistant were on a ride w/ another group. Then the group we were supposed to be riding with were an hour late, so we had to wait for them. It was just annoying, although Steven (owner) was friendly. When we walked into the empty house it looked like a construction space, a hen was walking around the inside and I even saw it poop IN THE KITCHEN! Things finally turned around when I hopped on Sherman (my white horse w/ black spots). He was a greedy little thing and ate up all the grass but he was a great horse. Steven immediately put ppl on the horses and taught us while we were riding. He was a straight to it teacher and I liked that. He definitely knows what he's doing when it comes to animals. He took a bunch of pictures and videos and sent them to everyone in the group. I'm thankful to have such awesome pictures that didn't cost us extra. I'm giving 4 stars despite the filth because Steven was friendly, welcoming, and I enjoyed the experience. Tip: -don't eat there if germs bug u -don't arrive early, there's no point -yes, you're in the right spot, even though it looks a little funky on the outside

He also never redeemed our Groupon. He has repeatedly messaged me and begged me to remove this review and has even reported it to Yelp to try to get it removed. Not only do I stand by my review but this Steven Strasburg owner has proved himself to not only be completely unprofessional but also desperate and dishonest. My advice: TAKE SOME RESPONSIBILITY for your business instead of accusing people of posting fake reviews or saying "it must've been another place". This is the ONLY time where an owner has not only not apologized but tried to say I'm posting for the wrong Castle Strasburg. How many Castle Strasburg horseriding places are there in Midland, VA? After striking out at a different location, Jeremy ordered what he wanted ahead of time, so they had it ready when we arrived. No need to wander the aisles. It was hardly worth the effort to unlatch me from our van so I could accompany him inside. But it was blazing freaking hot so I went inside for all of seven minutes, while Jeremy paid for his purchase. I think my favorite part about shopping at Home Depot is that their website tells you where to find everything that they stock: aisle number, section, down to individual item number. Its super helpful, when I remember to use it, and my phone isn't being a cranky piece of crap by not loading web pages. I had to ask 3 different employees and still no one came, despite them announcing it on the speaker. A different occasion involved almost a 20 minute wait for someone to help me make copies of keys. I would only recommend going here if you know what you need and do not need any help - otherwise, I hope you have a lot of patience.

Hand-making chocolates since 1917, Rheb's is a 4th-generation family business, hidden on Bloomfield since 1950. It's just north of US-1 Wilkens Ave near Caton Ave, in a tiny little stand-alone building with a red tiled roof, a stone-like facade, and a hand-written red neon sign above the white corner-facing door. You'll walk in facing an L-shaped candy counter, with some Maryland-themed products and some pre-packaged treats along the other walls. Take a number by the door if there's a line. We waltzed right up to the counter at noon on a weekday :-) You can buy by-the-piece, or by-the-pound in various size boxes, pre-selected or chosen one or two at a time. We got a boxed half-pound for our friend, one of these, a few of those, plus a handful for ourselves :-), and some Maryland merch. They have so many varieties! We got milk-chocolate, dark-chocolate, white-chocolate. Nut clusters and turtles, chocolate-covered cherries, caramels, creams and buttercreams and truffles, and one "Birthday Cake" vanilla cream with multi-color candy sprinkles over a soft milk-chocolate shell. Each lovingly created original was fresh and more-than-delicious. Now, when you choose your own, you pay by weight, and our box was a little over the pre-made-half-pound $15.60. I promise you, it was worth every penny. (Remember pennies?) Our friend loved her wrapped birthday-box of Rheb's so much that she didnt share a one! She said she finished the half-pound in two days!!! I call that self-control. Our handful of singly selected candies barely made it to our home :-) You pay at the counter where you order. Rheb's Candies is open 9am-4:45pm, closed on Sundays, in the little building on Bloomfield that was originally half of the garage to their home! You can find a classic portrait photo of Louis and Esther Rheb to the left of the candy counter. There's only a handful of street parking spaces out front, but there's a little more about a block away in the neighborhood. Since Aug 2025, they have a storefront in Mt . Airy, too! Road trip!!! Oh, and they ship! But be careful about the temperature en route.

Seating: Indoor seating with room for about 20 people inside the market. Vibes: You're right in the heart of Old Town / Fells Point -- the touristy but charming part of Baltimore. I dig the vintage brick roads, the historic feel, and the mix of locals and visitors passing through. The space sits inside a lively market (1640 Aliceanna St) with that true Baltimore seafood vibe -- casual, approachable, and full of movement. It's not fine dining; it's flavor-first, no-nonsense, and welcoming. Great for a quick grab-and-go or to sit down for a casual meal. FOOD/DRINKS: Crab Soup (A-Ok) Simple but hearty. It reminded me of a tomato-based soup with crab mixed in -- nothing too fancy, but warm and satisfying. I appreciated the richness and good amount of crab meat. I'm more of a clam chowder fan, so next time I might go that route, but this was still solid. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Quick, friendly, and efficient. The staff clearly know what they're doing and keep things moving without losing that personal touch. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Good prices, solid flavors, and a classic Baltimore seafood feel. Sal and Son's Seafood isn't flashy, but it's genuine -- a go-to for a comforting bowl and a true local experience. I'll be back to try their other dishes next time I'm in the area. TIPS: * Check what's on special -- they rotate and have plenty of combo options.

It's probably because one meal was simple (crab cake sandwich, fries), and the other may have taken longer to cook to order (shrimp and chicken jambalaya). Otherwise, we were absolutely satisfied with the food. The crab cake sandwich was on point. The creamy crab soup was flavorful, creamy, and worth every bite. The shrimp and chicken jambalaya was also executed well. Also, I highly recommend trying the fresh fruit drinks. We got watermelon and pineapple, and "refreshing" doesn't begin to describe how good they were. The service was straightforward and to the point, which works for me. The establishment is located inside of a market. We went on a Sunday, so this was one of the few eateries open. I'm imagining that it is probably more jumping on other days. If I'm in Baltimore again, I'll definitely consider visiting again and exploring more of the menu.

Also ordered a Caesar salad which unfortunately did not come (again, the delivery had other issues so I don't think it was the fault of the restaurant). My bf loved the cheese ravioli. He thought the filling was tasty and enjoyed the sauce. Their red sauce is a more chunky sauce with onions which I did not taste because I'm not a fan, but he would get it again. I'm still looking for a smooth sauce for some chicken parm, but no worries since the menu here has plenty of different sauce options! I enjoyed the chicken francese. The chicken was very tender and it was a generous portion. I felt it could have used a bit more flavor, but the sauce was a nice consistency and the linguine was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the complimentary rolls that came with the meal. Overall, I enjoyed this spot and will try more items in the future!

Alpacas, a member of the camelid family, are smaller and nicer than llamas, a relative. Mainly, they don't spit, at least not intentionally. We found these alpacas to be sweet, soft and silly. It was a little difficult to find the farm. The entrance is not clearly marked and we made at least two wrong forays onto adjacent properties before finding the farm. Once there we were welcomed by Heather, one of the owners, who gave us a brief rundown before introducing us to some of their goats, sheep, turkeys, donkey. She led us to the paddocks where the alpacas were, giving us instructions on how to approach them, how to feed them, how to pet them. Most had been recently shorn and Heather provided us with feed and the alpacas eagerly ate from our outstretched palms. They were soft and plush, the females more delicate eaters and the males (separated in a different area) were gobblers. These are animals, not pets, so while they are gentle, they do have wills of their own. It was a warm day and the alpacas enjoyed a spray from the hose. It was funny to see how excited they were to feed (reminds me of my dogs) and they ran after Heather when she got the food. Afterwards, we went to the barn where Heather, a fiber artist, demonstrated how the alpaca fur can be mixed with other fibers, how the wool is felted, and how it can be spun into yarn. There are textiles, yarn, garments for sale. Reservations are required. Sign up for the first time slot. Our tour ran over by 30 minutes and the next group had to wait. It is a picturesque drive to the farm but keep in mind that it turns into a two lane road through country lanes. We had left plenty of time for the drive but with our misdirected turnarounds and some road construction we ended up cutting it close.
