A part of me felt as if this was one of the major pubs in Kadina, though I should also mentioned that it is located next to the park, which certainly does add a lot of charm to the place. Yeah, I actually quite liked it, particularly since I discovered that the staff here were really helpful. In fact this is one of those pubs that does have quite a lot of charm, and the front bar is set up pretty good as well. I was a bit disappointed before we even got here when I checked the menu online there was no vegetarian options other than crumbed camembert, which I don't see as a main. We walked into a lovely large open space, with a tranquil pond in the corner. The waitress could not have been nicer setting us up next to the pond and adding an extra chair for us to attach the booster high chair to. There was a salad and veg bar that looked quite nice so I opted to have wedges and salad and veg bar. The reason this pub is getting a 3 star review is I paid EXTRA to have salad and veg bar and 10 minutes after getting my wedges they packed the salad and veggies up so I only got one tiny side plate for my money. Not very impressed. The staff and venue are worth the 3 stars and I think if they hadn't packed up the bar it would have been a 5 star review! read more

Definitely one of our frequent locales. Meals are usually quit nice with large portions and it isn't often that you'll strike a bad meal. The speed that they serve basic meals is also fantastic, if you're with a group just having snitty's then expect the meal within 5 minutes of you sitting down (obviously subject to how busy the kitchen is). Though I don't personally have any of the salad bar I'm told it's quit good and one of the reasons why we keep coming back is that a lot of people love the potato bake. Staff has always been friendly and the premises is kept very clean. As far as value for money, service and consistency I have to recommend the exchange as one of the best places to grab a quick meal. read more

If I was allowed to do zero I would have, my wife is a celiac so selected a scotch fillet steak @ $28 with gluten free gravy n chips. Straight away we could tell the chips weren't and asked the waitress if the chips where G/F or not. Her reply was no but it depends on your tolerance, hello the whole plate has to be gluten free. She then said I'll just go and take off the chips that will be OK won't it, reply sorry but no it won't and we require a new steak with out any contamination. She return later with one sacrificed piece of beef sitting all alone in the middle of the plate and a jug of gravy on the side and basically slammed it on the table.
