I have lived in Little Falls my whole life and I don't think I ever had a bad meal at this restaurant large portions and good prices. Their homemade pies pastries and rolls are superb. Down home diner restaurant atmosphere. Very friendly and very good food! read more

I ordered Hot Roast Beef Sandwich. It arrived luke warm and the server had it reheated. It was terrible. The mashed potatoes had some hard stringy substance(over cooked potato?) and the beef tasted like it was not fresh. I also ordered the mixed berry pie. The filling was gelatinous and the crust unremarkable. My husband's order also had to be returned to the kitchen for reheating. read more

Stopped in on the way home from a long camping trip up north. The waitstaff was what you expect from a small town diner. The menu also fit the bill. The collective age of the waitstaff was 45. But the place had great breakfast, you can't mess up breakfast! The bacon was dynamic, and it was super cheap. read more

From the outside, it looks like it will be dark and dingy, but that wasn't the case at all. Tons of windows provide lots of light inside. Nothing fancy, but very clean, great service, and as previously mentioned, easy to find a place to sit. We had a particularly entertaining server that was willing to provide little extras without hesitation. The menu is good and long and actually surprisingly diverse (frog legs anyone?). read more

We stopped into The Royal Cafe on Labor Day. The restaurant was busy, because most other places in the area were closed for the Holiday. We were still able to get seated right away, and with drinks ordered and on the table shortly thereafter. The server was very courteous in helpful with ordering, especially with the youngest daughter whom was ordering from the kids menu. We found this very welcoming, especially with how busy the servers were. The menu was plentiful of items ranging from appetizers and soups and salads to dinner plates and sandwich/burger baskets. The food that we ordered came to our table in a very timely manner, and our family of four were each happy with our meals. We will be sure to come back to this restaurant when I am back in this area. read more

I don't know. Once I went it was ok, food not very hot. But it's so old and dingey in there. Update and give it a good feel. I went the other night and ordered a taco salad , she said chicken or beef, I chose chicken and got grilled chicken strips with a side of salsa and sour cream. Was told only the beef has taco seasoning??? Weird . And then the server informed me that she'd get in trouble for taking off my food but she did it anyways! Not really impressed with the food me and my brother stop in to eat and the food portion was not that much and my brother found hair in his food and the waitress didn't seem too concerned about it and never offered any kind of discount off of meal not that happy with that place read more

Tammy was our waitress and did a great job. Jess the Cook made the Breakfast Buffet Delicious. For sure willing to come again. They also have a better Changing station, then most restaurants and Gas stations have. Thank you so much from this Mom. read more

2 eggs & toast and a Mt. Dew and hubby had 2 eggs, 2 toast, 2 bacon strips and coffee ..... $22!!!! Really! Had a $20 out to pay the bill and tip.... needless to say, won't be back after this experience.... had had the buffet a year ago and was disappointed, but was in the area, gave it a second chance.... read more

Visited yesterday morning (Sunday) about 10 am. Place was busy, but not full. Stood in the entrance area wondering if we were supposed to seat ourselves. Waitstaff came by, but didn't acknowledge us. So we found an empty, clean table and sat down. One server was cleaning a couple tables nearby and didn't acknowledge us. Another server made several trips around us delivering food to the table next to us and helping the table behind us with their credit card transaction/split bill. Then a third server came to the area and checked a table that was also very near ours. 3 servers....not one of them acknowledged us in any way. So, after waiting 20 minutes and not yet receiving even a menu or a "hello, we'll be right with you" from anybody, we got up and left. We went to the Perkins down the road, were greeted and seated immediately, had a server within 1 minute of sitting down, beverages within 5 and were enjoying our meal within 20 minutes. Hey....we were willing to spend our money in the The Royal, but if they didn't want to serve us, we were happy to spend our money elsewhere. We won't be back. I work as a server, and no matter how busy you are, there is no excuse for not smiling, saying "hello" and telling a customer that you'll be right back with menus, but it will be a few minutes before someone will be free to grab their order. To ignore them completely is bad business and downright rude. read more
