Their service is also very friendly and helpful. On the occasions I bought enough bottles to warrant a box they brought it out to the car that was parked in their ample parking lot without asking.

When I asked man at the front desk if they had a certain wine he barely acknowledged me. I proceeded to make my selection of a wine wine and noticed one refrigerated so I put the back on the self. As was making my selection the same man that offered no assistance came back and accused me of taking a bottle from the fridge and placing it back on the self. As I explained to him I never even opened the refrigerator door and I put the warm bottle back to get a cold one he just says "Oh okay" and offered no apology for his mishap. So basically you can get up to profile me but cannot offer a customer any assistance. I will take my money somewhere else with better service.

Alcohol is definitely a necessity and on the top of the list, right next to snacks. I have never been inside this liquor store, although it's right by my house. There were actually 2 other customers walking in ahead of me when I went. There were quite a few people inside as well and one of the customers actually said out loud "we all have the same idea!" The store itself is not big but a good size. The shelves were all fully stocked. I came looking specifically for the 1800 Ultimate Watermelon & Jalapeno Margarita. They didn't carry any of the ready-to-drink margaritas, only the standard 1800 Silver and Reposado. I ended up getting other bottles. There was a small line when I went to check out but the man & woman (husband & wife?) behind the counter were EFFICIENT! They make a great duo and the line moved quick. They were both very friendly and a few people on line I guess were regulars b/c they were on a first name basis with them. When I went to the counter the woman gave me a compliment on my fit while the guy processed my transaction. Prices are standard with other liquor stores in the area. They don't charge for bags and they packed the bottles securely with cardboard, which I appreciated. I'll definitely be back, next time when there isn't a long line I'll probably ask if they will consider carrying the 1800 Margaritas!

Since I moved back to Nassau County I have been missing Johnny's in Cambria Heights. National is not a large warehouse with all the bells and whistles but it definitely serves its purpose and then some. I find that there's a huge selection of Top shelf liquors here and WINE! Lots of different brands of wine. Given the neighborhood, They also have a special section for kosher wines ! Sometimes they have some select gift sets towards the front of the store along with specials for the week or month. The counter guy is very helpful with finding what I need and friendly. I found their prices to be better than the Baldwin and Garden City area. Try them out for your next celebration!
