This review is years in the making. I don't typically write negative reviews, especially for small…read morebusinesses, because I understand one experience may not reflect the majority. But in this case, I feel it's important to share. I came to this office years ago after moving to Cerritos, right before my wedding, simply looking for a new dentist and a routine cleaning. They had great reviews, which is why I trusted them. From the start, I was told I had extensive issues--multiple cavities needed to be redone and several crowns were recommended. This was surprising to me, as I've consistently gone to the dentist and had never been told I needed such drastic work. Still, I trusted their assessment. The procedures that followed were some of the most painful dental experiences I've ever had. They took hours, felt extremely aggressive, and left me in severe pain afterward--far beyond what I've ever experienced with dental work. I have a high pain tolerance, and this felt very wrong. What was most frustrating was what happened next. I returned multiple times explaining that I couldn't sleep, eat, or function due to the pain. Each time, my concerns were dismissed and attributed to things like not flossing (umm I couldn't floss because of the extreme pain), which didn't make sense given the level of pain I was in. After pushing back repeatedly--especially with my wedding just days away--I insisted something was seriously wrong and requested further evaluation. It turned out I needed three root canals as a result of their prior work. Separately, the crowns that were placed caused ongoing issues. Eating anything with texture would cause gum pain, and I noticed unusual gaps that trapped food. When I brought this up, I was told the only solution was to redo the crowns at additional cost. My crowns also came off. Later, I happened to see a different dentist at the same office (a female provider who may have been temporary), and she immediately noted that the crowns had been placed at an awkward angle. She corrected them, and since then, I've had no pain and no further issues such as crowns falling off. I ultimately switched dentists and have not needed any major dental work since--just routine cleanings every six months, with no recurring problems. Based on what I went through--particularly the aggressive treatment, the outcome, and the dismissal of my concerns--I feel it's important for others to have full context before making a decision.

Did not fax over my referral then I asked her to email it to make it easier she said she would, she did not. Had to call back several times every time she said she "was going to send it" never did. Finally got a hold asked her to repeat the spelling of the email we gave her to confirm if she was sending to the right one that's when she hung up on me mid call. From there she would not answer the phone even on my refferal doctors EMAIL NEVER CAME ON MY PERSON EMAIL END OR THE DOCTORS END. WE EXPLAINED TO HER TIME & TIME AGAIN I COULD NOT RECEIVE TREATMENT WITHOUT THIS REFERRAL EMAIL SENT. So then she finally answers the phone & says she'll send it on text she sends me a blank referral form! It's almost laughable that she sent a blank referral form. She did it on purpose because she enjoys making things difficult for people. As a result of her not sending the email & playing games sending me blank refferal form I was forced to leave my appointment. From the time I asked her to please send over the referral to the time. She finally sent the correct one almost 2 &1/2 hours had passed. Very unnecessary and I really don't appreciate sending me a blank referral form as a joke she had already been so rude at that point very disturbed receptionist I will say.

First, I was asked by Dr. Lee why I was even there because all my teeth looked great. However, he proceeded to tell me I had severe periodontal disease for my age (I'm in my 20's and have never had a cavity in my life) and was recommended a $10,000 laser treatment that wouldn't be covered by insurance. It's important to mention that I have also been seen by two other dentists and one oral surgeon earlier this year and was never told I had severe periodontal disease. Seems like they just try and convince all their patients that they need some super expensive and completely unnecessary procedure for their own profit. Second, Dr. Lee and the dental hygienist was not thorough with my cleaning at all. Dr. Lee only descaled the bottom set of my teeth and didn't even touch my top teeth. I was left with plaque still all over the my top set of teeth! In addition, the hygienist only brushed my teeth with a soft toothbrush for about 5-10 minutes and then called it a day. And not to mention, Dr. Lee left and went home before I was even done with my cleaning appointment... needless to say I won't be coming back here again.
