There must be hundreds of parks in the city of Elk Grove. Each little neighborhood within the city seems to have their own little park. Some big and some small. I happen to find this one while on one of my cycling adventures.
The name of this park is Roy E. Herburger Park . The park is fairly small and only encompasses 1.9 Acres. It's in the quite community of Laguna and was built in the year 1999 and is part of the Cosumnes Community Service District.
The park has an open play area, a shaded structure or gazebo, a small picnic area , picnic table , a few benches and of course a children's play area with structures and a small sand lot. There are no restrooms in this park.
It's hard to compare one park from another based solely on their amenities that they offer. Others things to take into consideration are location of the park, parking, easy access in and out, and of course the amenities that they do offer. Based on all of the above criteria , this park has earned a solid 3 stars performance! read more
