I went to the South Loop West location, and the instructor was great! She made time to answer any questions I had, and her instruction was clear and concise. All materials were neatly organized by the time I got there, and the instructor was also very calm, organized, and cordial. The course I took was BLS for Healthcare providers, and is a prerequisite for nursing school. I had attempted to contact a few other instructors before I found Roxell EMT, and was disappointed by a lack of organization, punctuality, and professional demeanor. I don't have time for that. They make you take a hessi to gate keep there first time pass rates for the NREMT. They also don't help students pass. Other companies give better directions and training when it comes to becoming an EMTb. Would not do this course. read more

Did my ACLS renewal class with Farooq Siddiqui and Paul on 4-14-25. Enjoyed the interaction and scenarios. If you need to get certified or renew your BLS/ACLS, this is a perfect place to do such. Also, Roxell EMT is AHA certified so any healthcare organization will accept the certification. THAT was another reason why I went with them. Suggestion: get the book vice the ebook. It makes reviewing the material easier and the final test is open book. Just a suggestion. read more

I wish i could give a zero. I deeply regret enrolling in Roxell EMT School. My experience with this program was not only disappointing, but emotionally distressing and incredibly unprofessional. When I informed the school that I was pregnant and wanted to withdraw, I was told I couldn't get a refund -- only that they could "freeze" my enrollment. Wanting to push through, I stayed and nearly completed the course, but was later unable to meet a physical clearance requirement due to medical restrictions from my doctor during pregnancy. When I asked to freeze the course again until after delivery, the school refused and failed me instead. After giving birth, I reached out to re-enroll and was told I'd get a discount -- but no one would tell me what that discount was. On top of that, I was told there were no class openings for a long time, even though spots were clearly available online if I paid full tuition. The director, Ade Olanrewaju, was especially unprofessional -- slow to respond, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy. I was met with coldness and hostility during a time I needed basic understanding and support. I feel humiliated, disrespected, and taken advantage of. If you value integrity, compassion, and respect -- especially during life circumstances that may be out of your control -- I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. While most would agree that knowledge and practice of First Aide & CPR is beneficial, not many of us look forward to the experience because of the inconvenience or quality of training available. WOW! Roxell EMT is a game changer! 1) SCHEDULING - FAST, EASY and so many choices available. 2) QUALITY - Whether on-line or in person, quality of content and instructor were excellent. 3) TRAINERS - They are not there to "check the box". They genuinely care about student goals/application, and frame training to ensure content is applicable and material is thoroughly understood. 4) CUSTOMER SERVICE - Rarely needed, but in my case, when the certificate (received immediately) did not contain a specific approval code required of a govt. entity, Abby listened carefully, and though it was a random, one-off situation she had no knowledge of, within an hour had a solution, and sent me an updated certificate! I went to their new Medical Center Location (2656 South Loop West, Suite 250) which is closer to where I live. They had just opened it this month and they seemed to be doing really well! Everyone on staff there is so polite and friendly - they even offered us sodas and water and made sure we had enough breaks during the course so we wouldn't get "brain drain." I had to do my ACLS and BLS recertifications and they had great availability for classes and I was able to complete both on the same day. As soon as I registered for my classes over the phone, they sent me my books in the mail with no charge for shipping so I could get started on preparing as soon as possible! I assumed I would be there all day but it only took from 9 AM - 1 PM. I thought the course instructors did a good job of reviewing what we need to know along with the updated AHA guidelines from 2015. I only had one other person in my class so it felt really personalized and it didn't take nearly as long as it did when I took it the first time. The skills checks were thorough and concise and the instructors were very encouraging and gave great feedback. I made the mistake of signing up for a BLS class with this company, Roxell EMT. For the past couple of days I have been feeling unwell. I have a cough, fever and I' m feeling so fatigued I can barely do anything. I am pretty sure it is COVID because someone close to me tested positive. Anyway, I called to cancel my class and they said no even though there is no cancellation policy listed in the FAQ section or anywhere on their website. All they could say was you agreed to the class so you have to show up or no refund. I explained to the lady on the phone that I am not feeling well but she did not care. I guess holding on to my $50 for the class is more important to them than spreading COVID. They are greedy, have zero common decency and the lady on the phone kept saying to me, "God bless you!" which we all knows is just as bad as cussing someone out. They are so unprofessional and the employees need training. There are plenty of other places that offer these classes , places that practice transparency, do not have shady practices, places that actually care about the public and take precautions. They finally offered to reschedule because they were so desperate to keep my money . I promptly declined. Who wants to give business to a company that mistreats its customers? They are still refusing to refund me but I am taking action. Stay far far away!!! After I told them I could not make it to the class because I am sick they opened up my spot and held on to my money. So basically they want to benefit from a service they are not going to provide and make double the profit from my seat . The lack of ethics and unscrupulousness is astounding. read more

I signed up for the check off part of NRP. And the online through AHA. I am a travel nurse and was currently on an assignment in Houston, TX. Approximately 4 hours after I signed up I received a phone call from my recruiter that my contract was cancelled due to low census immediately and I was stressed immediately with everything I needed to do including getting another contract ASAP. I called Roxell and told them my situation and I literally would not probably even be in Texas during the class and said I could provide prof for my company. I was told I needed to email the owner but that they have a strict no cancellation policy. I explained to the owner in the email what had happened (this was a Thursday) By Monday I knew I would be in Memphis 11 hours away on the date of the class. Still did not get a response (this was June 20th.) Finally on June 28th I was told the owner authorized a refund minus a $45 fee of the $150 I paid. Well today 7/4 I finally got my refund and it was for $80 not sure how that works or where the other $25 went. But I guess that's how they to their math. Bottom line healthcare workers work hard and we don't deserve to be screwed over because of things we can't control! So in my opinion this is a horrible company to do business with! read more

Unfortunately I didn't find out I was expiring until the day before it expired. Roxell was a god send. The online course was difficult but that's aha not them. However I signed up for the check off in Sugarland because that's what was available. I got a call that morning and the lady said that she noticed I lived in Katy and would I like to go there because it was close to my home. That is excellent customer service. The people in the office were so friendly and kind. I didn't get anyone's name but I assure you I will tell everybody about this place. While I don't suggest waiting until the last minute this company saved me. read more

I completed my intial ACLS and renewed my BLS at the Katy location. (There are other locations around Houston too.) The atmosphere is friendly and professional. My instructor Tim is very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained everything thoroughly and made it easy to understand the algorithms. I completed the mock codes and test fine from what I learned in class. I'm glad I was able to combine the BlS and ACLS in one go. It makes renewing much easier and convenient. This place was amazing! I had to get a recertification for BLS and I was thoroughly surprised by the amount of material that I needed refreshing on! The course was about from 9-12 and I did it with my best friends. The course content was played through the updated guidelines through american heart association then we got to practice on our own mannequins. We practiced on adult as well as infant mannequins. The price we paid included the masks needed to provide CPR and we got the textbook to take home. The textbook provided an almost pocket manual which I really liked. The facility is a small facility but very clean and well kept. We were offered drinks since we would be here over the course of a few hours. The instructor we had actually taught and the test we took afterwards was concurrent with the material we went over! We will definitely be coming back! read more

The class is small so you have more time to ask question. You have to pass a quiz afterward to make sure you know your material. I like that you have a CPR reference booklet to take home. I will take the class again when it is time for me to renew my CPR certificate. read more
