Ms.Amna's teaching style is super encouraging, kind and patient especially with little kids this is very important as they get easily distracted! Ms.Amna has a great team of talented dance instructors who teach all age groups including kids and adults. They organize 2 dance recitals every year and our family always looks forward to watch Amnadance shows. Her husband(Dean) also is actively engaged with the recital shows and is an excellent host narrator. After every recital we are awestruck with the amazing choreography, super energy, vibrant costumes, musicmix and innovative concepts!!! We have been taking lessons with Ms.Amna for a while now from before when she was pregnant and has a little 5 month old baby now, however that has never impacted any of our dance lessons or shows. This shows that she is a very dedicated teacher, passionate about her work and displays true professionalism. Ms.Amna and her team are very flexible with schedules and accommodating on a short notice. Amna offered me a reasonable package deal of 8 private lessons for my daughter's solo performance and personally did the music mixing with selected age appropriate lyrics. We got a chance to have 1:1 private lessons for my 5.5yr old daughter with Ms Shayna, one of Amna's instructors. ms.Shayna choreographed on 2 bollywood hiphop fusion dance songs with age-appropriate steps. Her choreography was top class and she helped teach by breaking down steps into small movements and made required adjustments for hard steps. Her teaching style was super fun and and my daughter looked forward to each dance lesson. Ms.Shayna ensured the choreography was completed on time so we had sufficient time for cleanups and dress rehearsals. We are truly impressed by my kids's growth with every performance. I recommend Amnadance as the best Bollywood dance company in Orange County considering teaching instructor skills, various dance styles, professionalism, recitals quality and reasonable prices. We are so blessed and fortunate to be a part of Amnadance family!

Both of my kids have danced here over the past five years, and while they each have their own unique dance styles, they both absolutely love the teachers and the variety of dance genres offered. They started in the preschool ballet/tap program, and today, they're both part of the competition team! What makes this studio so special is the way the teachers truly see each child for who they are. They meet each dancer where they are in their journey, encourage their individual strengths, and help them grow. My kids have learned so much, and it has been amazing to watch their skills, confidence, and passion for dance develop over the years. When we moved to the area, my daughter was just three years old. I enrolled her in the preschool ballet/tap program hoping she would make some friends and that we would find a way to connect with our new community. Little did I know, we would find so much more! She instantly fell in love with dance and her teachers, and the other parents were so kind and welcoming. They truly helped us feel at home in a new place. Today, my daughter's best friends are fellow dancers, and we feel so lucky to be part of this community. The kids and families are incredibly sweet, inclusive, and supportive. One of my favorite things about this studio is seeing the older dancers and teenagers high-five, encourage, and cheer on the younger kids. It's such a positive environment, and you can feel how much everyone cares about one another. My youngest had tried several different sports and activities but struggled to find something that felt like the right fit for his needs and personality. One day, he decided to try the preschool dance class, and he never looked back! He immediately felt seen and encouraged, and the class structure and pace were exactly what he needed. Watching him find his place and thrive has been so special. If you're looking for a family-friendly, family-run dance studio that welcomes dancers from preschool through high school, I cannot recommend this studio enough. It's so much more than a place to learn dance. It's a place where kids build confidence, find their people, develop a love for movement, and feel like they belong. We are so grateful to have found this studio and the incredible community that comes with it!

What I love most about Capistrano Dance Academy is how welcoming and inclusive it is. They make every dancer feel valued and supported, regardless of skill level, body type, or background. The instructors genuinely care about the development of each dancer, not only as a performer, but as a person. My daughter has made tremendous strides with the guidance of Coach Anthony, who has helped her grow so much in her dancing. Miss Sharon has also been such a strong and encouraging presence in her ballet journey. Every instructor we have encountered has shown genuine love and care for the dancers and their well-being. And it's not just the teachers who make this studio special. The moms are amazing, supportive, and encouraging, and the dancers truly cheer each other on and help one another. It feels like a real community. One of the things that makes me happiest as a mom is seeing how much my daughter's confidence has grown over these past three years. Watching her become more confident, work hard, challenge herself, and find joy in dance has been incredibly special. We are so grateful to be part of the Capistrano Dance Academy family!

My youngest started when she was 2.5 and even at that age they made sure they were doing the dance steps correctly. The instructors love teaching dance and it shows; they have a passion for teaching and it makes the kids get that same passion. The annual performance is more than just a bunch of dance classes getting on stage for a few minutes then off they go. There is always a theme (ex: Princess & the frog, Disneyland, Neverland, etc) that all the dances as well as musical theatre classes have in common which makes it a full show and as an audience member you want to see the entire show. The wide range of dance styles offered makes it a well rounded studio that will make any dancer happy!

Jimmie…read moreDeFore Dance Center in Costa Mesa offered adult jazz, tap, hip-hop, and ballet classes, but no modern, and it was not in a convenient location for me. UC Irvine would not allow community members to audit classes. The modern classes that I did find were all geared for children and teens. One day, I met a dancer who recommended I look into Deborah Benson's Lyrical Modern Dance Class through Laguna Beach's Recreation Department. I have to admit that I was initially skeptical of taking a class through the city. I had visions of a mirror-less space with concrete floors. Was I wrong! Who would have guessed that Laguna Beach has such incredible studios -- large and airy spaces with skylights to boot?! Deborah's class has been the best part of living in Laguna Beach (and that's saying a lot, because there are many great things about living here!) Deborah is an amazing dancer, talented choreographer, and a patient and generous instructor. She has experience performing and teaching throughout the country -- in dance studios, schools, and colleges. Her style is José Limón-esque. This is a perfect class for an adult who used to dance and wants to get back into it. Classmates are warm, kind, and non-judgmental. And we're all ages -- from our 20's through 70's! Deborah currently teaches a 1.5 hour class at the Susi Q on Saturdays at 10 am. You can sign up for the session through the City of Laguna Beach (which works out to only be about $10 per class) or drop in for $15. Deborah is currently also teaching a Tuesday evening class at Lang Park. You do NOT need to be a Laguna Beach resident to take either class. Parking is free.
