Stephanie & Andrew Chapel are the owners and Stephanie teaches several classes a week. From the first day I attended and every time I walk in the door on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 8:15am I am warmly greeted...and since my initial visit have always felt welcomed and part of the "Vessel Community." With just 20 bikes in the Studio, the experience draws you into the workout no matter which bike you are on. Stephanie's classes are amazing...great music - always a diverse playlist with moves that coordinate with the beat and work every muscle in your body - it's always HIGHLY challenging as well as extremely fun! :-) Her encouraging words before, during and after the workout not only help you focus and motivate but also provide that extra little push to be the best you can be during class. I always leave feeling a strong feeling of accomplishment and of course tired...(LOL)...but I also leave feeling grateful and excited to know I get to come back for another class! Abbey Lam is also an amazing person and awesome Instructor. She has equally excellent classes! I have attended some of her 7am classes and they are filled with energy and the same feeling of "community" and are challenging as well! She will often take song requests the night before a class and somehow amazingly put together a playlist that has a formidable and diverse mix of fast moves and slow (heavy) pushes...and still keeps the workout within 45 minutes! Prior to that I was an avid Bikram Yoga person, and I did Bikram non stop for 2 years. As much as I have the greatest respect for Bikra Yoga, at the end of the day its a 140$ a month class, with a 90minute commitment a day. I have to be there at the class 10minutes prior. That is when I found Marilyn and her Zumba! The first few classes I took, I was little off, and confused, but I loved the music and her play list. The second class onwards I was really hooked. Its like non-stop dance party for 60minutes, just like club music. and I love dancing and Marilyn made it all the more fun and easy to follow along the steps. As it seems like a dance, its very much cardio, coz you are pretty much jumbing and turning and moving the whole time you are in the class. Having done Bikram, I can say I sweat so much in her class, sometime I even wonder if this bikram. Remember this is in room temperature and body heat generated by my own body. I am happy to say I have quit Bikram and just solely been on ZUmba alone for my cardio, and I have kept my weight off and kept my fitness on-track. Apart from all the technical talk, Marilyn is super fun and she makes every feel welcomed, and people of all levels enjoy her class. She has a great following in OC, as I really have to rush 15minutes to get a good spot in her class, it gets crowded! Apart from this place, she also teaches at 24 groupx at spectrum/costca mesa/LA Fitness! Check out Zumba - Calorie Burning has never been this fun! (Just to let you in on a secret - if you have a shot of tequila it helps you dance more - and you will burn off the calorie of teqila in no time in the class, so its more of an investment and never tell anyone I said that!).

My youngest started when she was 2.5 and even at that age they made sure they were doing the dance steps correctly. The instructors love teaching dance and it shows; they have a passion for teaching and it makes the kids get that same passion. The annual performance is more than just a bunch of dance classes getting on stage for a few minutes then off they go. There is always a theme (ex: Princess & the frog, Disneyland, Neverland, etc) that all the dances as well as musical theatre classes have in common which makes it a full show and as an audience member you want to see the entire show. The wide range of dance styles offered makes it a well rounded studio that will make any dancer happy!
