I went here on a recommendation from my oldest daughter who had a friend who recommended it...my younger daughter wanted to get her ear lobes pierced, and my older daughter said she would get another piercing when we went so they could have sister piercing day. I made an appointment online- very easy- and loved that you could select which piercing artist you want, or select no-preference. Very important - if you are a parent bringing a child under 18 for a piercing you must bring an original (not a copy) of the child's birth certificate and you must show photo ID (drivers license) as evidence that you are the actual parent. They will not do the piercings without this documentation. (Apparently there is a law) The shop has a nice aesthetic, bright, nice seating area, a place to hang your coat, and lots of jewelry cases (like a jewelry store) displaying so many options for ears, and every other body part you may want to pierce. We spoke with 3 staff members while we were there, all were very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and gave us great info about what to expect, and after-care for the piercings. The price for the piercings and the jewelry is separate, and the jewelry has a wide range of prices depending on the gems you choose. After selecting the jewelry, it was time for piercing.... The piercing room is VERY clean, everything is sterile, like a doctor's office space. I was relieved to see that the piercing artist who would be doing my daughter's ears (Rob) had so many piercings...clearly an expert in their field. They made both my daughters feel comfortable by explaining everything, and offering tips and advice along the way. My younger daughter ended up getting double ear lobes piercing (thats 4 piercings) and my older daughter ended getting two more piercings. Before we left the staff member provided clear instructions for after-care, and gave us printed copies to bring home. We were also able to purchase the after care products at the shop. The room was very open and inviting, and there was music just loud enough to be distracting but so loud that it was overstimulating. When they showed me a selection of jewelry to choose from, they had every option in two different hypoallergenic materials, which was amazing as I react to a lot of metals. There was an online form to fill out that was very easy to understand and fill out. When I went in the room where they do the piercings, all of the tools were in sterile sealed bags until they were used, and were promptly thrown away after the procedure was done. The actual piercing went very fast and Jozi was amazing. She was very comforting and let me stay lying in the chair for as long as I needed because I tend to get lightheaded after needle encounters. The staff then let me sit in the waiting room (which had very comfortable couches) as long as I needed (it took me about 40 minutes) and they even brought me a cup of water for free and made sure I was ok. They were saying they see it all the time and did not try to rush me out. Not one part of my experience was negative. It came out looking amazing and the more I look at it, the more I love it! I am in fact 22 (almost 23) years old and have NEVER been turned down by genuinely anyone, because my ID is very much real. Was told "I've been doing this for 20 something years and am not going to accept this". I have at least 10 tattoos already and have never owned a fake ID in my life for this exact reason! But it's okay because I went to a shop right down the street and was met with much better service, a beautiful tattoo, and they had an ID scanner there to check every ID that comes in. Maybe investing in a scanner will help...overall the vibes here were not great.
