I'm kind of a regular at ROW DTLA so about time I write a review. You can find me often at Smorgasburg on Sundays! The big food festival that happens every week is what initially brought me to the Row and there is so much to discover there. I also often come here to charge my Tesla ~ charging on Level 5. The Row opened almost 10 years ago on the edge of Arts District and is spread across 30 acres. As mentioned with the charging, they do have a parking garage which is really nice when coming here. And it's a nice garage, well kept and clean, free for 2 hours with validation. You never need to worry about parking when you come here! Like much of Arts District, it's kind of industrial chic vibes. It's an open-air spot with just lovely landscaping and seating all around. There are some excellent food options like Pikunico and Hayato, as well as Go Get Em Tiger for coffee needs. Very cool stores including concept spots and trendy clothing shops. And i'm def getting my next tattoo at Nonfromseoul. Aside from the brick & mortar shops and restaurants and weekly Sunday Smorgasburg, I've been to some other smaller cultural fests & pop ups here. It's always trendy and cute at ROW DTLA! read more

I really want to give this place 5 stars but I think with its current iteration it isn't quite there yet only because there's so much space that needs businesses to come in. That being said, ROW DTLA is a dreamscape when it comes to filming content and just catching city vibes in a safe space. Located near the Arts District this space of buildings used to be utilized for the textile industry. With multi floored buildings creating rows of foot traffic on the ground this space is perfect for events, pop ups, and get togethers. It's one of the reasons why Smorgasburg is held here on Sundays. It's why on any given weekend there may be an event being held, whether it be to celebrate AAPI month or the different creatives in the area. This space is filled with homegrown businesses and unique shops to visit. One of my favorite places is Hightide which is a Japanese stationary and supplies shop. The vibes are immaculate and walking in really feels like being in a store in Japan. Another popular space is Scent Bar for those who love perfume and are aromaphiles. With plenty of small curated artists being featured in this apothecary of aromas, Scent Bar is a nice stop whilst visiting the Row. If you're looking for interesting and discussion worthy furniture A+R is a must, located at one of the ends of the Row. For good coffee with artistic vibes you got to check out GGET (Go Get Em Tiger). Next to that if you're looking for stronger waters is Flask & Field with smaller batch and independent distilleries and crafters. All of this and the parking is free for the first 2 hours. In LA, that's unheard of! And it's a large parking structure with modern infrastructure. Blessed. With all this, hopefully ROW DTLA will continue to grow with more businesses and still retain its charm as time marches forward. Good for a short stay or half a day, if you're looking for things to do in LA proper, ROW DTLA is worth your drive. read more

4++ open air concept houses some of the most respected and well known restaurants and food concepts in Los Angeles. I've been here multiple times now. By virtue having a few of the most popular restaurants in LA as well as Smorgasburg on Sundays, there is a large selection of food and eateries to experience. And also just want to know that the restaurants that have the Michelin stars here don't get their stars for not having good service. Because of the different levels of places here, there are places that fit everyone's budget as well as places where you go to splurge. I've been to Smorgasburg of course as well as Kato, Hayato, and Pizzeria Bianco among other spots and a big fan of all of them. My grip is that it is kind of on its own little island where you have to make this place a destination vs being integrated in to other popular areas in the city. There's a parking lot here that seems great but other times I've been here of Ashley parked on the street a few times to avoid the large crowds. And I was feeling particularly cheap. I will say, though if you decide to park out of the lot at night just make sure you feel safe. Thee is security that walks around, but it's also in a more industrial neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles. read more

I wish they made better use of the real estate here, it'd be a really good place for shops/ coffee places or small unique concepts. They do have some cute boutiques but prices do be expensive and needs more food options. The parking garage is clean, well lit, the surrounding streets outside are a bit sketchy, but less than before. Security staff were super nice. read more

Came here to go to the innisfree pop up which was in one of their locations. There's a huge parking structure here for paid parking, but it's really spacious with lots of spots. It's literally right next to where Smorgasburg is being held, so we spent whatever little time we had there and didn't really explore the rest of ROW DTLA. Though I have to say that I was very surprised that were even still in LA. No graffiti, trash everywhere, smell of human wastes or anything. Very clean, modern, spacious, and calming even with the crowds of people there. Felt like an oasis in LA. Though that comes with the price, seeing the businesses here. Yes they look nice but it's giving hoity toity performative LA folks vibe and I can see why rent to live in LA is so high. Nothing really piqued my interest as a non normie, but I'm sure if you are one or like these kind of non franchise, off label places, for normie looking, better quality clothes, home goods, etc. this is for you. read more

Came to The ROW for the DoorDash Pop-Up and Smorgasburg and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The ROW kind of looks like what most people expect DTLA to feel like before actually visiting : clean, stylish, and industrial-chic. It's right next to the Arts District, so there's a cool creative vibe to the area. Had a lot of fun here! Bonus points for the 2 hours of free parking, which is rare for LA. There are a few cafes and shops around, but to be honest, it doesn't get much foot traffic except on Sundays. Most of the time (Monday through Saturday), it feels pretty empty. This industrial shopping center in downtown LA is so cool and very LA. So many small local brands and stores to shop at. Parking is really easy and the first 2 hours are free. Plus they even have superchargers. There are so many quirky stores with really fun concepts. You won't find too many chains here, it definitely doesn't feel like a normal mall. It's also less crowded than some of the other malls here. I came with a local, but some of the shops are so hidden and you wouldn't even know it's a store by just walking by. read more

I've grown to adore this unique, commercial + community destination. It's a bit hard to understand for the average shopper, so I'm hoping my review will help peak interest and appreciation (since it took me years to get here haha). Usually, I'd only come here for Smorgasbord--the Sunday weekly food festival. But they have some seriously great shops! Quality over quantity vibes. Some of my faves are just to name a few: - Hightides ~ great place for gifts or household items - Shades of Grey ~ affordable, fashion-forward local design - A+R ~ modern + contemporary furniture - Bel Kazan ~ some of the cutest eco-chic fashion For dining, there are many hidden gems here, with a mix of everyday to special occasion; Michelin at Hayato to local LA flavors at Dulce (breakfast burrito bombbbbb) or Italian fare (love the pizza and sandos at Pane Bianco) to Chinese (Kar Son just opened!). Also, LOVE that parking is FREE for the first two hours and is plentiful?! Such a premium and lessens my anxiety greatly. If this place could have a train stop, it would be chef's kiss! In addition to all that, it's lovely to stroll on the grounds here. It's not too crowded. It's great that you're not inundated with advertisements and sounds. Having the mix of novelty and price points is really unique and probably helps with the calm vibes. Very curated and thoughtful throughout. This place is kinda hard to find even though it's so large. Parking is good though, free for the first two hours and there's plenty of it. There's lots of shops in this little out door mall and a couple restaurants as well. I'm we heard about a pop up that was happening here. It was a grand opening of a new clothing store called Things Between so we decided to check it out. They had complementary drinks like iced tea and water. They also had complementary coffee and matcha! Such a fun treat while shopping. It was also Mother's Day weekend for they had lots of fun activities for families to enjoy. A fantastic place to check out - very interesting shops in a great ambiance. If you go, try out Pizza Bianco or Pane Bianco. As this is a selection of shops, I could not really generalize service and value, but the vibe is great. 2 hour free parking in their major parking lot. Would I do a 30-minute detour just to shop or at least window-shop here (mandatory in my rating scheme to achieve 5 stars)? I certainly would. read more

Today was my first time here so I didn't know what to expect. I know creators who come here to take pictures of themselves or products so I wanted to check it out. I was here actually for an event today, but was early so decided to explore. Ended up at a coffee shop and browsed at different shops. There's a huge selection of small shops. Places to sit and eat outside or drink a coffee and chat. It was very peaceful. DTLA does get a bad wrap, but this location is honestly so beautiful and peaceful. I definitely recommend. The row is a great place to visit in downtown LA if you know that there's an event that's happening with its borders. There are always things that are happening here - I've seen sample sales and promotional events for certain brands here. My primary reason for coming here are the amazing food options here. There is some restaurants here with serious rep including Kato (1 michelin star), Hayato (2 michelin star), Pizzeria Bianco (featured on Netflix' Chef Table: Pizza). Note: don't try to go to those places without a reservation. You could get decent coffee at Go Get Em Tiger, they have a nice craft liquor store here, and I also feel that the restaurant Pikunico is a hidden gem - their Japanese fried chicken sandwiches are amazing! On Sundays from 10-4, you can find Smorgasburg LA, which is a great daytime food market. The Sunday food market here often has specific themes and you should check online to see what's going on. I don't come here on random days - it's always for some specific purpose; however, it's a fun place to go, parking is covered for 2 hours on the weekend, and there are some places here that are really worth visiting. read more

Never been here before but I was going to a Chainfest Food Festival event and it was perfect space for it. It was outdoors. The only bad thing was the parking. It was a little crazy getting in the structure and very tight space as you go up and it winds up too so my friend has a stickshift Jeep and it was a bit scary since it was back-to-back cars. But i'm just glad it was covered parking since it was so hot that day. I know they're having a christmas market there so I definitely want to try that out. read more

When Smogasburg first opened here in Row DTLA, I was one of the crazy people who went here to try some goodies from different vendors selling their stuff. I also remember coming here to shop at the American Apparel which has closed down. Since then, a lot of improvements had been made here . They have converted the six buildings into offices, retail stores, outdoor movie venue, and restaurants. They have also built an expansive courtyard for people to sit in. While I love the gentrification of this area in DTLA, I still can't get over the fact that this is located in Skid Row, an area where a lot of homeless people live. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a stroll. The shops here are unique and have a good vibe to them. Prices on the other hand are all on the higher side. The clothing shops are good looking, and give off a NY Downtown feel to them. This area only had 2 coffee shops, and one was better than the other in terms of service. What a cool place! I'm always a sucker for a city market and this one is another in a long line of neat places. We found it by complete the accident and we loved walking up and down the various rows and seeing all the stores and restaurants! Sadly I missed their premier market smorgasbord Sundays only but if it's half as neat as the rest I'm sure it's awesome. I love going to the row even when it's not so busy. It's nice to just walk around and chill. Very New York vibe. The parking garage is massive. First 90 minutes free and it even has bathrooms on the ground floor, but it does close after hours so don't count on that if you just had a big meal and too embarrassed to use the bathrooms at the restaurants l!!! That's a bad accident waiting to happen. Lots of outdoor seating areas provided especially in front of the food area. The shops are cool to look at but honestly I never end up getting anything. It's super dog friendly too but keep in mind they don't provide doggy bags and water bowls. read more

Whatever event is happening here, it's going to be good, so just go. I've been here for an Urban Decay event, a Netflix event and for All My Friends Fest in 2019 and I think even an American Apparel factory sale. Whatever it is, if it's at the Row you must go. There's a parking structure for parking and the last time I was here, they had a film screening for Leave the World Behind at the top of the structure and it was AMAZING! Netflix had white Tesla's pick us up a the bottom of the structure and drive us to the top and on the last floor they had a multiple drive-thru installations for the film with deers! It was so cool to see like 200 Tesla's parked at the top with the L.A. Skyline in the background. The other events I've been to were just as cool and came with swag bags and all sorts of stuff. If it's at the Row, definitely go! read more

I might just not be the target demographic... But does this area just feel strangely sterile? Lacking the bustling atmosphere that makes SoHo (which is what I'm assuming the Row is trying to emulate) feel alive. Concrete storefronts are identical, cold; stores themselves are boutique shops with various flavors of the same rich hipster aesthetic (the one exception being MAUM Korean Goods, but even that's a popup...). Rather than stylish and inviting, its wide streets feel hollow and lacking personality. Parking is free for the first two hours in their onsite garage. I wasn't here during any event or Smorgasburg hours, so I might just be missing a major draw of this area. We saw a few influencers taking professional candids here but rarely other customers. read more

ROW DTLA is a really nice little shopping center with food and coffee options. It's easy to get to and has free 2-hour parking in the attached parking structure. Came to check out the Mod Ref store and a few other boutiques. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill place to walk around. Great place for a date - grab food/coffee and walk around after! came here for the christmas market special event. these negative reviews for it are really commical. i finished the whole thing in 30 minutes. cuz they give u 2 free hours for parking & i didnt wanna pay. i came at 3:46 and they actually opened on time at 4!!! small wait line wasnt too bad. tons of great things to buy!! lots of anime/hello kitty items along with great xmas items!! every person there was happy and having a wonderful time. i did buy the apple cider ($7) which i dont reccomend it was too spicy it was over powering. most food/drink places had an easy fast order on an ipad thing. the bar had the longest line. i also bought the "cheese wheel pasta" i got the 3 kinds for $19. there was about a 30 min wait for that. i also dont reccomend it. it was basically like dry shells with flavoring. one was supposed to be truffle and one lobster and it didnt taste like that. the place is split into two areas. you can go back and forth. very organized with security. my advice with this: if u can get tickets even once come try it out. it was a lot of fun. it will sell out. for me i went once i probably wont do it again. i came i saw i did it. read more

My eldest daughter and I came here @ ROW DTLA to check out the Smorgasburg in Los Angeles (LA) back in September 2022. It is an open air food market with many different food vendors plus shopping. It is free to enter for all ages. It is open every Sunday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM rain or shine, but don't expect all vendors to be set up as some may opt not to participate. There is a huge parking garage on-site. First 2 hours are free and the excess hours will be charged at a specific rate... I don't remember the rate, but it wasn't expensive at all. Besides visiting the Smorgasburg LA, we didn't walk around the ROW DTLA. There are a good handful of shops and restaurants though. Maybe we'll check them out next time. Restrooms are available. Even though the Smorgasburg LA opens on Sundays only, the ROW DTLA is open daily. It's a pretty neat place to hang out on the weekends. Eat, shop, sit around and people watch, etc! This rating is for shows, first it's in a parking lot, kinda tight. Mostly an LA crowd with FOMO, so expect a lot of bros and Tiffany's to show up. Then in the evening there's that lovely crematorium scent that wafts over, making it a bit difficult to breath. This lovely place is also surrounded by homeless encampments and a rough neighborhood, so much so that the jack in the box down the street has a bullet proof old school bank teller window set up for their drive thru. Now, you might be thinking why would you even go there... well, I was here to see a legend, Carl Cox and I didn't want to miss this opportunity to see one of the GOAT throw down. CC was dope af but the venue not so much. Definitely go with a group if you go to this venue because this spot has Bad Plan written all over it. read more

My wife and I visited ROW DTLA on our last visit to downtown LA. It's a beautiful shopping and dining area. We spent time at Rappahannock Oyster Bar and loved it. Great ambiance. Very friendly staff. The shops are high end and interesting: clothes, furniture, home goods, liquor and wine. A great place to browse and shop. The people working at the shops are friendly. The area is large, safe and walkable and stylish and it's an easy place to spend a couple of hours. The reasons for a 4 star review (vs. 5) is while ROW DTLA is a great place to visit it's in a dodgy part of town with a lot of homeless. My wife and I made the big mistake (because we like to walk alot and we really didn't know where ROW DTLA is) of walking there from downtown. Before we knew it we were in a homeless area. Be sure to go here by car (they have plenty of parking) or Uber or Lyft. It's worth a visit. read more
