The docks are very well protected and don't suffer much from tide and current. Harborwalk is a hidden gem between the waterfront and the rows of restaurants and specialty shops along Front Street downtown.   The Harborwalk offers scenic views of Georgetown Harbor and is accessible behind the Town Clock, or through Francis Marion Park, Constitution Park, or Rainey Park, all along Front Street. It is a perfect location for a stroll along the waterfront or viewing a spectacular sunset. You can also go directly from the boardwalk into many of the restaurants, shops, and art galleries that are adjacent to it. You will probably want to walk around town and enjoy some of the historic homes as well as the intriguing live oak trees.

I enjoy learning about places from locals and ran across Old Georgetown SC Walking Tours online. I texted to see if it would be possible to tour the next day and if I could bring my dog. I got a prompt reply offering 2 times to choose from. My dog and I met Paige the next morning across from the clock tower. Paige is a licensed Tour Guide and 7th generation South Carolinian. His expertise in Georgetown history and pride in the town made our time together so enjoyable and enlightening. I am very glad I found this tour. We tried a few spots until 3 hours later when they were biting almost every cast. Caught and release a few real nice reds and some spotted sea trout. Taylor is very knowledgeable and super polite. It's obvious that he knows these waters well. He reads the water for what the birds and baitfish are doing. His boat was very stable and comfortable for our party of three. He was super fast at changing tackle, rebaiting a hook or helping with a tangle. He has all the rods and tackle that you will need. Bring a few drinks and some snacks but leave your cooler in your vehicle. He will put your drinks in his cooler to save space on the boat and you can put your catch in yours at the end of the trip. Can't wait to go again. Very fair price for a memorable trip.
