It is a small marina with floating docks and just steps from downtown. There are many restaurants…read moreand shops, as well as a nice little boardwalk walk along the harbor. The docks are very well protected and don't suffer much from tide and current. Harborwalk is a hidden gem between the waterfront and the rows of restaurants and specialty shops along Front Street downtown.   The Harborwalk offers scenic views of Georgetown Harbor and is accessible behind the Town Clock, or through Francis Marion Park, Constitution Park, or Rainey Park, all along Front Street. It is a perfect location for a stroll along the waterfront or viewing a spectacular sunset. You can also go directly from the boardwalk into many of the restaurants, shops, and art galleries that are adjacent to it. You will probably want to walk around town and enjoy some of the historic homes as well as the intriguing live oak trees.

While the selection and service were good, we ran into problems once we tried to register the boat…read more The consignment sale for a boat registered in another state resulted in a great deal of hassle and fees. Our DNR and tax auditor noted numerous hurdles with existing paperwork. Four hours, 60 miles, and $1000 later in our own town (after what Jonathan said was 'no fees you should be able to register online '), we finally were able to register the boat. We had initially been satisfied with the sales, selection, and service; however, that all turned a sour when we tried to register the boat in our hometown. We had driven 3 hours each way to pick up the boat in our home state, and were told things would go smoothly, but because the boat was last registered out of state, it created a number of hurdles and costs. We felt deceived about the price. Shout out to Mike in service for doing a nice job of getting us set for the road for the drive back from Georgetown. Shout down to Jonathan for not disclosing all the paperwork and extra fees that would be involved with an out-of-state boat purchase once we got to the tax auditor and the DNR.
