Tin Roof is one of those unassuming places that most people just pass up. For sure it's not fancy. You might be able to catch live music. Cheap and rustic is an accurate way to talk about this bar. It's located outside a small town on the way to Starved Rock. The inside is bigger than it looks and apparently is a great place to listen to local bands or whoever. However most come to get boozed up and complain. It's about $5 for a basic mixer. Whiskey and whatever. Food is also pretty basic. Mostly fried things. It's about $5 to get a basket of Pretzel Bites. These are great to munch on between sips. Food menu is pretty uninteresting to be honest. There's also other fried things like jalapeño poppers and mini tacos. Got a few cheap cocktails and okay munchies out of it. It's located on Route 34 a bit west of Somonauk. The food here actually is shitty but whatever.

The vibe on a Friday or Saturday night is high energy, happening, and buzzing with lots of the friendly locals of the Joliet area. All of the bartenders are amazingly FUN, FRIENDLY, and quite TALENTED. Especially my main go to bartender named "Danny". Everyone loves Danny, he's the best and the nicest guy ever. Come for the music played via "YouTube" music videos played on a big flat screen TV by request of the customers, the AMAZING HANDMADE CRAFT COCKTAILS, GREAT CRAFTY FOOD DISHES, and the overall ambiance of a1920's speakeasy yet situated in somewhat modern times.

Rice flour so they are light with a perfect crisp. The salads are AWESOME, their chipotle ranch is next level, and the blackened chicken is outstanding! We went once for the first time and have been back like 3 times in 2 weeks. The prices are great, foods even better and the service matches the taste... If you're traveling through sandwich - this is a great choice! The only negative is the parking. There's not really anywhere to park. We've lucked out and the one spot in front of has been open a few times we went, you might have to park across the street. Just a right corner - but worth the walk.

The trolley car is what people like about it. A cool place to eat. Especially if one likes trains. A lot of great specials to get. It's $3.50 wells on Wednesdays. A lot of meaty things to get. It's about $12 for the Build Your Own Burger option. We got it with the Beyond Burger patty. Comes with a choice of side and we got the kettle chips. This was a pretty big ass meal and we got stuffed. For sure it's the most famous restaurant in town but there's not a whole lot great around here. It's located at Main and Church Street. The menu is meaty but the Beyond Burger is the option for vegetarians.

A little on the bland side, but the salsa that came with the tacos fixed mine right up. The grilled cheese was missing something, but it wasn't bad. Everything was filling and tasted fresh. We sat at the outdoor patio bar where they had two screens playing sports games. We started with a John Daley & Huskie Punch. The punch tasted similar to a painkiller which is tropical and fruity. The John Daley tasted like it had more tea than lemonade but it was refreshing. For food, I got the Honey Garlic Boneless Wings. I loved the flavor of the sauce and the medium order came as quite a big portion. They were very crispy and well breaded. My husband got The Fat Boy burger with a side of their famous Cajun Fried Potato Salad and Baked Beans. The burger was juicy and flavorful. The potato salad wasn't too spicy but tasted delicious. I see why it's so famous! Overall, this was a great summer hang out spot! I was thoroughly impressed by the food quality and atmosphere Fatty's has to offer. I will certainly be back with friends!

Being just after the usual grazing time for him we found this establishment that checked all the boxes for the three of us. Outdoor seating as well as indoor seating was available, seat yourself style. We sat inside. The noise level was not loud at all. Perfect for table conversations. The menu had too many tasty sounding items. I chose the Fatty Melt with the Cajun Fried Potato Salad and Coleslaw. My wife had the Chicken Club Wrap with Onion rings and Beans (for me). The little had the 2 mini sliders with fries. Being family we share the sides and the onion rings were a hit. The number one treat in my book was the Cajun Fried Potato Salad. The bean had a good smoky flavor to them. Last but not least our server should get top billing in the review. Jordan did a fantastic job accommodating our requests and took the time to answer questions without feeling rushed. She made us feel more like a friend than a patron. Hats off to you Jorden! We went to the bar and asked if we seat ourselves... the bartender called the waitress over and she sat us right away. The menu has lots of great food options... pizza... tacos... salads... sandwiches and even desserts. We ordered 20 wings. 10 mild and 10 garlic parmesan. With a side of blue cheese for dipping. (Posted a video, not sure if it will show up on our review but you should be able to find it when searching images) The mild wings were really yummy! They were very flavorful! The garlic parmesan sauce was not my favorite... kind of blah and did not taste like there was any parmesan in the sauce... however the chicken wings were still cooked to perfect. Juicy chicken with a crispy coating.. the wings also were trimmed nicely.. no cartilage or gummy pieces. I would definitely dine here again! Our waitress kept checking in on us and gave us refills and she was very kind and loved her service with a smile!

We choose Rambos. Now i have passed this place once while visiting over Thanksgiving Break. When i walked into Rambo's I felt the comfort and welcome everyone shared. The entire room knew each other, which is always a good feeling. There was about seven in our group at first, but as soon as people saw who was in my group, the bigger our group got. By the end of the night there was about 15 in all. We had ordered three types of apps, Mozz Sticks, Mini tacos, and stuffed cheesy potatoes. All of these we served all on time, however i wish they would have given us more in each basket. We then ordered three pizzas, One pepperoni, a veggie pizza and a cheeseburger pizza. Now the pepperoni and the veggie pizza was a hit, however, the Cheeseburger pizza, while sounds appetizing, tasted different from what one would expect. You did taste the cheeseburger, but there was some sweet element to the sauce, which didnt go well with our group. The staff there was very fun and friendly, our server who i believe her name was Becky or Beth, gave the ladies we were with free shots of a blue drink what i think was called " dirty squirrel fucker?" The ladies loved the shots, and she kept our drinks full. All in all, i had a great time visiting this local place. I would like to see what else the town had to offer.
