You're better off getting Taco Bell. Food is not good at all. The food is priced for sit down food but has worst quality than fast food.

Colonial House Supper Club - A little bit of most of the buffet items.

Colonial House Supper Club

Have heard about this place for many years, but just recently gave it a try. As I had heard, the…read morebig attraction is the all-you-can-eat buffet offered on Friday and Saturday night. We tried the Friday night offerings. From the outside, you have a rather sterile, commercial building. The dining rooms don't offer much more in ambience. However, the huge bar area is an awesome throwback to the 1970's. We started at the bar. Quick service. Reasonably priced drinks. The old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about. We were seated and met our waitress. She was very nice and was attentive to us throughout our visit. She and the bartender truly helped the overall rating (3.5 if Yelp trusted reviewers) with half stars. Everyone in our party tried the buffet. Everyone found something to their liking. Overall, it offered a nice-sized and well kept salad bar. There was clam chowder for soup. It was just okay. On the main buffet, the walleye, butterflied shrimp and sliced steak were good. Staff did a great job keeping the food filled. The chicken cordon blue was a strange casserole and according to a dining partner, the ribs were okay. Two sheet cakes served as dessert. Overall, not a bad place but not great. Other than the bar area, it lacks your traditional supper club vibe. Would I try it again? Sometime; just not soon. There are too many supper clubs available to settle for "good".

Very large restaurant with a huge large bar and a banquet room. Lots of black & red vinyl. Slots…read morein the bar. Could have been an Italian restaurant in the past... Efficient seating system. Your reservation is associated with a table number, and when called you go to the dining room to the corresponding table. Food was OK. Nothing special. You can order off the menu or use the buffet; if ordering off the menu it will be a longer wait. Salad bar was subpar (and a mess). Bread baskets were empty. Counter around it was dirty. Buffet - the big draw are the crab legs and lobster claws. Baked fish, fried chicken, scallops, and shrimp. Mixed vegetables and red potatoes. Separate table with desserts, possibly all cheesecake. We took our drinks to the table with us when seated. Waitress never asked us if we wanted another drink.

The Market Fresh Buffet is inside the Chula Vista Resort hotel just off the main lobby. We dined…read morehere because we were visiting the water park and had the all inclusive package, which meant we got to eat at the buffet at no extra charge. The idea sounded really good, but after having dinner there two nights in a row the very thought of even smelling the food in there again made me feel nauseous. They boast that they have "live action" stations where you can have food prepared for you on the spot. The whole term, "live action station" made me think I might see people in lab coats looking at moving amoebas and other bacteria under a microscope. The truth is they are just areas where chefs who looked thoroughly bored and underpaid for such torture, fry up some pasta in a pan and serve it to the fifty people standing in line for it I don't know what the food at the "live action" stations was like, because I refused to wait in line for an hour at a buffet. But maybe I should have because.............. The rest of the food was pretty sad. The young kid we had with us loved it because they had school lunch specials there like smiley face potatoes, mini corn dogs, popcorn chicken, and spaghetti-O's!! Yay, happy fun time. Everything really was soggy, mushy, with rice filler, or strange sauces that made you think, "what the hell is this?" Even the pizza was soggy from sitting there for too long under the heat lamps. Since this is a buffet, the idea is that you help yourself. But you still have a waiter who is SUPPOSED to bring your drinks and refills thereafter. However, every time we ate there our waiter stopped by once and then disappeared only to return at the end to give you the form you had to sign as part of the all inclusive deal. On one particular night we stopped our busy waitress as she tried to run by, and asked about dessert. The buffet sucked balls so hard we thought, "hey maybe the dessert will save us." NOT. The waitress looked appalled that we asked about it. There was no dessert bar or anything like that at the buffet, instead they bring around a tray and you select what you want from the different slices of desserts. My dining companion and the kid chose cheesecake. They were teeny tiny little slices and when I asked how they tasted dining companions didn't have much to say. So it must have been mushy, flavorless crap just like the rest of the buffet. There was a lot of strangeness here. Despite the soggy, mushy, mess they served, it was awfully stinky for being so flavorless. The only thing that was nice about this place was the decor. I've heard they charge 25 dollars per person for the dinner buffet, but in reality I think they should be paying you 25 dollars to stay away so you won't give them a shitty review like this one.

Buffet is advertised as "Las Vegas style" buffet. Not really. Selection was OK, but not nearly as…read moreawesome as the typical LV buffet. It's in the Chula Vista resort, by the registration desk. Nice looking restaurant, looks good. Server was very attentive, helpful, came back frequently to check on us, answered questions easily (and correctly). Now, the not so good stuff. Way overpriced at $21.96 per person, plus 11.99 per pound if you wanted crab legs, which are not included on the buffet. Food was mediocre, some dishes had not been refreshed for a while and were pretty dried out. When fresh pans were brought out, it looked like they were probably sitting under warmers in the kitchen, as they also looked dried out, particularly the BBQ ribs. Pizza, spaghetti were both dry. Cod was moist however, and my wife said it was good. Bottom, for the price, would have expected better.
