Bin Q - Bought @ Bin Q; was a rare find, but was also long, long past its freshness date. Stale, flat, and old enough to collect Social Security.

Rebranded yet again, but the quality and selection is better than it was under the last run. I…read morepopped in to grab a gift and look at their non-alcoholic selection and left very happy. They have some brands you can't find in many places, and the prices are pretty competitive. They also have a small wall of "alcohol removed" drinks that provide a great variety of beer, seltzers, wine, and liquor sans alcohol. The crew working in there was nice. No one offered to assist, but that let me roam the store a bit. I probably could have used a point toward some things I wanted, but it was fine. Great store for your party or personal needs!

Note: If you send your wife out to buy booze, then pay her back with paypal, do not put "Cuban Liquor" in the note. Paypal flags it, holds the payment, and their compliance team gets in touch saying you've potentially violated their terms of service. We didn't learn about Vieux Carre' until our last night in New Orleans - big mistake, because we…read morehad been dropping money for mediocre bottles of wine from Walgreens and CVS for premium costs. We picked up a bottle of rosé and picked up some complimentary plastic cups for them. The prices are reasonable and the selection is aplenty. There's also a nice liquor selection, although we had just come in looking for wine. It was tempting. A lot of reviews reference making your own drinks here. This didn't happen for us - but I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it existed. I'll have to take a closer look when I'm back. Next time I'm in town in the French Quarter (next week...), I'll be sure to stock up on my alcohol needs here! Don't be surprised to see me here in the next 7-8 days...

In all honestly, this is a three star beer, wine, and liquor store. It's fine. You probably have a…read moreplace like this in your town. Small and dated. Nice people. Reasonable selection, all things considered. It earns that bonus star by having several choices of regional beers sold by the can and chilled for $2.50. Even if you couldn't pour it into a cup and walk around the quarter with your beer, that's still a pretty good deal. Also, I was delighted they sold Herbsaint in small 200ml bottles. I'll confess to bringing my bottle back to the hotel, putting some in a plastic cup with an appropriate volume of water, and using that as my walking around town drink. Infinitely better (and more authentically NOLA) than the frozen slop that gets you sloppy. Anyhow, I'm sure to return to pick up some beverages whenever I'm back in town. It's a recommended stop for sure. Good stuff. Convenient location. Zero pretense.
