Rounders is definitely a hit-or-miss kind of bar. The drinks are way overpriced, but it is a college bar, so I guess that comes with the territory. I'd honestly recommend pre-gaming before you go, because the cover charge is usually around $25 just to get in. It is still fun, though. The place has three different rooms -- a club-style dance room with smoke and flashing lights, a bar area, and an upstairs dance floor with a DJ -- so you can kind of pick your vibe for the night. The bartenders are okay, but they can be a little rude sometimes, which is a downside. Also, the floors are slippery asf most nights, so watch your step. Overall, Rounders can be a good time if you go with the right group and know what you're getting into. Fun vibes, but definitely pricey. read more

Extremely disappointing experience with the staff at Rounders. While waiting in line, another girl called me a bitch because she felt I was standing too close to her, despite us having been in line for the same amount of time. I apologized, but instead of allowing the situation to be resolved, security immediately kicked me and my friends out, claiming we were a "disturbance." What makes this experience even more frustrating is that the girl who insulted me knew the security guard. I was never given an opportunity to explain myself, and despite apologizing, I was still forced to leave. It's disappointing that a situation that could have been resolved with a simple conversation resulted in us being kicked out. read more

Came into this bar after going to glory bound and getting 3 beers. I paid $40 for me and my girlfriend to get into here and I went to go buy a drink after dancing for about 5 minutes I came back and almost fell because of how slick the tiles are and the bouncer cut me off from buying a shot and would not let me buy absolutely anything. The worst bouncers in Tuscaloosa bartenders were nice but the bouncers have a bad ego problem read more

I tipped 0.7 on a $4 tab and they cut me off bc I was too low. i asked how much the bartender wanted a tip and they cut me off and all of my friends bc they where with me. the bartender said I didn't tip enough and was so rude. read more

The bouncers are absolutely terrible. Hello, last night was my second time ever coming to rounders, my experience was hands down the WORST Experience I've ever had in a bar/club/lounge never have I ever been treated with more disrespect by bouncers by simply telling them where I was from and asking to use a women's bathroom downstairs because the one upstairs was packed and slippery. It was so bad I'm going to post a yelp review later as well as my friend who I brought who flew in from Arizona to come experience the nightlife here in Tuscaloosa. I know I will never be coming back due to the lack of respect from the bouncers as well as the DJ. If I'm paying cover for my experience I expect at least a sliver of kindness but that was not met last night whatsoever. On top of that it was completely filled with underage people. 0/10 experience. read more

Great game day atmosphere. Ordered a happy dad bucket was very surprised that wild cherry was delicious.

this is a great young bar... got blasted by the air cannons so many times that my face hurts after. fun vibes , bad lines. read more

Hours say they close at 2:30. However, we were removed from the property at 1:40. Not mad but would appreciate accurate information online. Atmosphere was lit tho - dj takes (good) requests read more

The bouncers let in too many under age kids with a fake ID and the cover charge goes up every half hour. Not a very good establishment read more

Workers very rude and hostile especially the bouncers upstairs. Used profanity and horrible language towards my friend.

They serve alcohol to minors. This place is too crowded. They cannot be in fire code with that many people in there. Underaged college students drinking alcohol, which is a huge turnoff to my friends and I. This bar let the minors get drunk and then throw them out on the street. Why serve it to them in the beginning? Tuscaloosa police all around, but do not seem to know or care. read more

Came here for bingo... they stole my bingo card and were so unbelievably rude 0/10 would recommend they also don't know how to make drinks they're always make them way to strong to the point where you can't even drink them. Also never play bingo there it's so rigged and the bartenders are way too focused on their phones when it's not as busy and don't give you your drinks. read more

First time coming here since freshman year. My friend tips $0 on a 1 drink order and the bartenders start yelling at him saying they deserve a 20% tip...as a bartender so I defend him saying "their turnover rate is much more than a restaurant waiter and a 20% tip on each drink is absolutely outrageous" and the bartenders (females) get extremely pissed and tell security to kick me out. I'm 22 almost 23, I had a report due tonight that I was working on and decided to join my friends at this bar. For sure never coming here again. read more

This bar is ripping off patrons, especially college students, every night. The disgusting bartenders are charging many dollars over the cost of what was ordered. When confronted with their mistake, ( although looks intentional) they are rude, and downright mean and threatening. If you don't pay what they say you owe, they threaten to call the cops. There is no way to prove their dishonest accounting and they know it. BEWARE!!! read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a bar. Arrived at 11:30 and got drinks. Cover was $5. Sat at a table and by 11:50 they told ya they were closing at 12. The hours online are until 2am. When we arrived they NEVER told us they were closing early. When we went to ask for our money back and all we received was attitude from the bouncer. VERY disappointed. read more

Worst place I've ever been. Bouncers are aggressive. Deals are shit. They know they have freshman as regulars so they put very little effort in. Please don't go. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. This place is an absolute joke. $10 cover to get in under the guise of free hamburgers and hotdogs. They were in a steam pan on a table near the back and had obviously been there for hours. My wife asked the bartender for two beers to go. She served us, and the bouncer very rudely told us we couldn't leave with them. When I questioned him, he responded by treating me like a kid, bullying, threatening, etc. The manager was exactly the same, and when we complained further to him, he told the bouncer to get us out. It was undoubtedly the worst experience I've had ever at a service establishment. read more

Horrible bouncer! Refused to let my whole group in and kept asking for our "real ids". I have been into this bar multiple times, and my REAL id was the only proof of identification I had on me. It is such a poorly managed business. The girl in front of us asked us to get in front of her because her and her friend were using the same id and they both got in which is embarrassing for this company. They just let anyone in, so when they have to deny people in order to not look sketchy you might not be able to enter if you of are age. Very unprofessional bar with very unprofessional bouncers. read more

Pretty fun place if your not a boomer. Drinks are a little pricey but this is the Joe Biden economy.

If I could give zero stars I would. A sham of a business. I literally got kicked out for helping a drunk girl who was getting carried out put her shoes on? So she wasn't barefoot? Mkay. Cool. Great establishment. read more

I'm honestly in shock. The bouncer at the door made fun of the fact that I was from Wyoming and then threw me down the stairs because of my midwestern accent. It was my friend's 21st birthday so I decided to let it go. I then ordered a drink and there was a literal earthworm inside of it. As I tried to leave, someone stopped me and asked me if I wanted to invest in their tech startup company. To make matters even worse, I said yes. I am now out $3,200. Will not be returning. read more

This bar sucks. Every drink is a scam, paid $10 for a vodka sprite, an absolute scam. Do not come here unless you're desperate like we were. Only plus is that they'll probably let your fake ID in. Screw rounders. read more

Let it be known that I'm past my college days and was here for a work event. That being said, I had forgotten the joys of a college bar. The amount of alcohol that goes into these drinks is obscene. Every drink is what any normal bar would consider a double. Are they double the price? Nope! It's a college bar in a college town. These kids are on a budget and looking for the biggest bang for your buck. Expect loud, bass filled music and uninformed bartenders. It's all relative, so enjoy yourself and all of the alcohol in your drink. read more

This might be the only place in the upper half of Alabama that plays anything remotely close to Top 40/EDM. If this is the closest thing I have to a bar that plays Calvin Harris within 100 miles, I'll take it. The first floor is a disguise that makes non-locals strolling by think this place is deserted. The 2nd floor is a whole different scene and lots of fun. The dance area is on the porch and the setting is nice even as you hear Nicki Minaj blasting in the background. The drinks are strong and cheap. Even if you don't want to dance, people-watching is just as good. There's always a group that knows how to dance and a group that can't. Nobody cares. You'll be entertained either way and everyone is friendly. I'm not sure why there are only 5 reviews in existence because there were definitely more than 100 people here on both non-football game nights I visited. read more

I've been coming here since I was a freshman in highschool. Back then, it was fun. But now it's all about profit and what they can get from the visitors. We come for bingo on Monday and they say on instagram it's going to start at 9. what a joke. We're lucky if they start at all. They're so money crazy they don't care about anything. ALSO BOGGST BTW DONT GET A DOUBLE!!!! some liquor as a single for double the price. fuck this place. read more

It's been Fall 2012 since I last visited Rounders. It had a bit of a stuffy entry bar/band room and a shoulder-to-shoulder back room that was really the main selling point for most. Fast-forward to now and you've got a different face being shown by this iconic hotspot. The entry bar/band room is spacious enough to fit a decent crowd, not to mention a larger band than could previously fit in the smaller corner stage. The back room is still the "club" room, but has stair access to the newer 2nd floor...and that's where I had most of my fun this time. Never before in Tuscaloosa have I heard house music in a public setting, so it was great to hear a DJ (with some guests) spinning their own mixes on tracks I've heard on SoundCloud. I hope Rounders keeps up the 3-room concept...that's really the best way to capture the widest audience! read more

Used to like going to rounders because they have 3 floors with different options for music. Last time I went, I ordered a drink I had previously gotten and it was $5. When I went back to order another one, it was a different bartender and she told me the drink was $6. When I asked why the price was different she asked the other bar tender how much it was and he said $5. Then she said "well aren't you going to tip" and I said not after that. Pretty bad experience. read more

This place is great. I came in from UW-Madison (one of the top part colleges in the world) but this place was great. The boom boom room was amazing. I used to go to rounders when my friends and I first turned 21. It was definitely fun at the time whenever I didn't understand the cost of drinks, but as we began going to other bars we realize rounders was overcharging and not mixing the drinks correctly. The drinks were way too strong and getting us drunk way too quick. They allow far too many people in at a time and are not very good at keeping up with the underage crowd. There were several times where I almost got kidnapped by strangers. I don't fully recommend rounders to any women who go in alone without any male friends, because I have never felt more threatened in a bar than at rounders. The music is fun , however. but I would not go back. read more

Worst experience EVER!! First the charge a cover then WAY OVER CHARGE for WATER DOWNED drinks!! Went with my friend and only had one drink and they charged me $60 The bartenders are the absolute worst, when I brought the over charge up him, he said "What are you going to do about it?" then when we tried to tell another bartender they just laughed!! This bar is not safe for women and my friend and I will NEVER go here again!!! It should receive Negative Stars!!! read more

Worst bar i have ever been to in my life. I came from out of town and I had expected cover to be high so i was prepared to pay $20 at the door. I went to get a drink and they are $10 a piece????!! This is when i started to get a little upset. Then you have to wait in a line to GO TO THE NEXT ROOM!? Like whats the point of that why cant they let people come as they go? We waited in line go to the second floor for over an hour and then we finally made it to the front and literally stood right behind the ropes for another 20 min because the bouncers kept letting in other people from the side who they i guess they knew. we finally got to the next room and THERES ANOTHER LINE! everyone was saying how great rounders is when literally you go to pay an over priced cover, over priced drinks, just to wait in a line the entire night. the bouncers are assholes and the bartenders are slow af. Never coming back. I wish I could give 0 stars read more

Had a good time, the bartenders was really friendly and the staff was also nice. Good atmosphere would totally come here again!!

They double booked our senior bar crawl and they are the worst and we had to walk after we paid. Not cool!!!!!!

Writing a new review since I'm sober now. Oh wait still 1 star. If there was a 0 star option I'd click it. First off all, why is the cover $40? Excuse me? I'm not made of that kind of money. That's 10 4 for 4's from Wendy's. I walk in to the downstairs and it's eh. The drinks were strong so that's a plus. I try to get to the 2nd floor and i wait in line for like 45 minutes. I get to the 2nd floor finally and i wait in line to get to the 3rd floor. By this point i really had to pee so i go to the bathroom and my friends continue to wait in line. I go pee and as I'm exiting my friends are walking up to the 3rd floor so obvi i join them bc they're my friends. As i proceed to do this the bouncer grabs me and shoves me. It happened so fast but anyways. I had to go to the back of the line. He wouldn't let me go up with my friends. I have never been so fucking angry in my life. Anyone that made eye contact with me got the fucking death stair. I was ranting to bitches I've never seen. ALSO guys were cutting me because they said they were on the football team. Okay and? I don't give one flying shit? I've been waiting longer than yall that's not how this works. AND WHY DOES EVERYONE SMELL LIKE FUCKING SHIT GO TO THE FUCKING DOLLAR GENERAL, BUY A BAR OF SOAP AND SOME DEODORANT. like i was actually fucking gagging. I finally get upstairs and it's actually pretty fun. It closed earlier than expected and when we were asked to leave you could tell the bouncer that was kicking us out had no friends in high school. That basically sums up the night but don't go here. Like it's really not worth it at all! read more
