We don't visit here that often but Simon remembered us every time we came. Make a reservation because this tiny two-story building is a unique lay-out so seating is tight. Two tables on the main floor, maybe 4 tables upstairs, and more in the downstairs. The servers definitely get a work-out moving up and down the tight stairwell so tip them well (even though tipping is not common in this country.) Every time we come, they know the wine we like and our names. Its impressive because we don't live anywhere close and visit, maybe once a year. Their soups are recommended, the dark red wine and some of their house fruit mix is always welcome too. I always enjoy the atmosphere and bring a new friend each time. The staff speaks English, Polish and many other languages, par for the area. Sometimes we only come for a bottle of wine, sometimes for food. Regardless, we enjoy the excellent service.

Our table had several food allergies (gluten, dairy and eggs) and the chef was able to accommodate them all very easily. This is one of the nicest meals we've had in the week we've been in Poland so far. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Happy to have found excellent reviews for this place while we were in Gdansk…read more They advertise Napoletana (Naples) style pizza and as someone who had been to Italy and love that style of pizza, I can say they meet expectations. My husband and I shared a margherita pizza as we wanted to save room for dessert. We shared a large bottle of sparkling water and each got a cannolo. The cannoli were delicious. Our meal cost 106 zloty which is about $29. Not bad at all considering it's in the waterfront. Our server was friendly and accommodating (I forgive him for forgetting our dessert order - he was attending to many guests). The restaurant is a bit cramped but is decorated nicely. I am usually very wary of places in the main areas with a host/hostess trying to lure you in. But…read moreafter walking around town for maybe 3 hours, I was famished for dinner so I conceded. I know I learned to never judge a book by its cover and I should've listened. This place is great and the whole experience was very memorable. I ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup and Pork Chop and a whisky on ice for while I wait. The atmosphere is really cozy (it was raining so I dined inside) and the upbeat but melodic playlist really set the mood to unwind and enjoy the drink and their delicious dishes. First up was the Chicken Soup. Perfect subtly savory broth with the right portions of chunks of chicken to the noodles. Was so pleasant and warm to eat on this rainy evening. The main dish was the pork chop with the seasoned potatoes and a side if sliced cucumbers in tzatziki. The pork chop was very tender and the breading wasnt over the top. The sides of potatoes were also seasoned well and very soft. And finally, the sides of cucumbers in tzatziki and dill were also very good. If I wasn't so full I was contemplating on getting an order of pierogis just to try it but couldn't fathom another bite if anything. The waiter I had was very attentive and friendly and even engaged in nice conversation. My stay here the next day also rained so unfortunately I couldn't dine outside. But, if I ever find myself in Gdansk again, I have some unfinished business with the pierogis and patio dining :)

The choice of dishes is also very small, but do not hesitate to ask for a dishes of the day. Their seafood is legendary, you can also try fresh truffles risotto. Charming staff (for me at least). Very good selection of European and world wines - you can so buy (considerably cheaper for takeaway) a good bottle here and take home or drink it on the beach (it is legal to drink in Sopot beaches between 9 am and 7 pm). I love the place, especially on Sunday midday, over a fuzzy glass of Moët & Chandon: just to see the relaxed urban life and, of course incidentally, be seen on.

They already run a fine dining place in Gdyna so they should know how to cook, and they definitely do :-). The location is actually very good but a bit hidden. Not far from the main street of Soppot Sztuczka Bisto is in an old builduing which was nicely renovated and modern furnished. The waiter was not as international, and didn't speak English very weel, but he was super firendly and we managed to communicate in Ponglish, German and sign language which was already entertaining. He was super helpfull and explained the dishes, regulated the climate control and turned the music down, even though communication was not the easiest, due to language barriers Menu changes frequently with seasonal ingredients. we had for starters, freshly baked, homemade bread, beetroot soup, chicken liver pate and pastrami and everything was stunning. For main dishes we had Risotto with truffels and boletus, perfectly cooked steak, and a super tender beef cheeks paired with pork filet. the meat was incredible tender and the sauce with a perfect finnish. This goes with a huge variety of wine by glass. They use the argon technology to pour the wine, so they don't have to open the bottles and can sell everything by glass. in my opinion an amazing technology which allows you to taste different rare wines by not buying a whole bottle. In addition to that they have a great variety of local polish craft beers, so if you feel more for beer, you gonna be pleased as well. At the end we paid around 60-70 zl per person for 2 dishes and drinks, which is incredible good price for the quality they served. If we would have known that place before we would have eaten the whole week in soppot there.
