Feijenoord Stadion is home to Feyenoord, also known as De Kuip, which has been home to Feyenoord…read moresince 1937, one of the most successful football clubs in the Netherlands. With a capacity of around 50,000, it's a fairly good-looking stadium which was renovated in 1994, when it became an all-seater. The stadium feels mostly modern, but is old and run down in places. The stadium is easily accessed by the Rotterdam Tram, on a match day you can catch the train, using Rotterdam Stadion nearby, bus services are also available a short walk away. There is also a restaurant in the stadium, which has a fairly priced menu with lots of options for lunch, Brasserie De Kuip, however, this appears to have been closed for a while now. The stadium does tend to be poorly lit at night on a non-event day but is still attractive nonetheless, I guess they don't see the point of lighting up the stadium when there is not an event on, which is understandable. A fairly attractive stadium which can host concerts during the summer, and football all year round, nice stadium to go to with a good atmosphere, which I enjoyed visiting during my time in Rotterdam. Great public transport links also help a lot. 4*

Have a season card now and you can hear me in the stadium, together with other 50,000 singing "hand in hand, kamaraden, hand in hand, for Feyenoord 1"! The stadium has great facilities, on my view pretty safe, also you cab enjoy some nice cold beer and eat some patat or fricandel in the brake. But the beat part is the atmosphere! Feyenoord has the best fans in the Netherlands!

I went to The Black Keys concert at Ziggo Dome on May 5, 2024. I had so much fun and I'm glad I had…read morethe opportunity to see them since they canceled their U.S. tour. Attending a concert in another country is definitely an interesting experience. Tickets: Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster Netherlands. I waited until the day before to purchase tickets since the show was not sold out. My one regret with waiting was discovering that I couldn't use my Visa card! For this concert, they only accepted American Express and Maestro. My mom came through in the clutch and let me use her AmEx card to buy the ticket. Once I purchased my ticket, I was able to download a PDF file. If you have the app, you can download a QR code for your tickets as well. One of the ticket add-ons was for Alpine PartyPlug ear plugs. You can also buy them at the venue. That is such a great idea and American venues should consider doing this. Transportation: I took the Metro to Station Bijlmer ArenA. From there it was about a 10 minute walk. The venue is right next door to the soccer stadium so it wasn't difficult to figure out which way to walk. Security: When you go through security, they pat you down and look inside your bag. There is a bag size restriction; if your bag is too large you can rent a locker. There's also a free cloakroom. Once you're cleared to walk through, you will receive a loud "Ja" ("yes") from the security guard lol. The guy in front of me had a lighter and they let him through lol. Needless to say, it's definitely different from the U.S. Concessions: They recently implemented a drink token system (and If I'm not mistaken, The Black Keys concert was the first time they did this). You are given a token at the entrance which is used for a plastic cup. When you purchase your drink, you give the bartender the token and pay for the drink (they do take Visa cards!). Here's where it gets interesting: if you want a refill, you must bring your cup back. If you do not, you will have to pay €1 for a new cup. This is their way of trying to be green. After the show, you can recycle your cup in the proper bin. They have specialty bars throughout the venue. I purchased a beer from a regular bar on the concourse. I believe the only beer option at that particular bar was Heineken. Seating and Layout: Ziggo reminds me of a larger version of 713 Music Hall in Houston. It has a large floor and two balconies. The floor was GA for this show. The venue itself was very nice and clean! The signage was prominent and the majority of signs are written in both Dutch and English. The seating in my particular section had a divider blocking what would have been an aisle. It was nice to have extra space, but if I needed to get up, I would have had to cross through the entire row to get out. It looked like the divider may have been removeable. Show: The sound quality was great! The Dutch audience was a bit more subdued (at least in my section) compared to American audiences. Despite that, I had a really great time and I would definitely see another show at Ziggo Dome.

Thankfully most of Reznor's fans have grown past their teenage angst and ridiculous costumes to truly appreciate what can truly now be considered one of the best live performers in Rock history. At 60 years old, with Oscars on his mantel, the visuals have never been better and the vocals never clearer. A stage, B stage, deep cuts and favorites reimagined. The Peel it Back tour is a triumph and Ziggo Dome saw it executed beautifully, with easy in-and-out, safety protocols and excellent crowd management.

I believe acoustics are better in Antwerp than in Vorst. It can hold maximum 18.400 people and that's A LOT. Imagine traffic around this ugly building... I would never want to live in this neighborhood, but yet this is a very crowded area. Here are some tips... Traffic - AVOID THE CAR - parking is hell and LEAVING the PARKING IS HELL (takes a lot of time) - you must pay, anywhere you park - take the tram! It's also veeery crowded but it's fast. - you can also park a little further and then walk. Please do understand that a little further means like minimum 1 km further, not around the corner. EVERYTHING IS JAMMED around the Sportpaleis, believe me Scheduling - please be on time, if doors open at 18h, there will already be people waiting - if you have standing places, be there when doors open - for seating places count on 30' before the show starts Tickets - look up THE PLAN ONLINE to see where which zone is - don't buy them at the door, there are always people trying to buy & sell tickets but it can happen that they are FAKE (and you don't want that) Sound - please TAKE EARPLUGS. It can be so loud in there! You don't want to waste your ears. - I am used to the acoustics in this hall but if you compare it to for example the smaller AB in Brussels, this sounds "terrible". It's good for big shows but please, if an artist like John Legend for example would be performing here, it wouldn't be rightful. Price - tickets for music shows are very expensive in general but it depends on the artist Food & drinks - it's affordable. You can pay cash at one of the many bars - bars are on level zero and on the first floor - you can eat something indoors but there are also a lot of kebab & pizza places outside the Sportpaleis - generally they don't check your bag so I always take my own bottle of water or something to eat
