***More than plumbers--they are heroes in our community***…read more There are no words to adequately thank Tana, JD, and the entire team at Platinum Plumbing. Our family was facing a catastrophic main water line collapse in the middle of a health crisis and subsequent job loss. We were staring at a $12,000 (highest bid from another company was $20,000!) repair that threatened our very ability to stay afloat. Platinum Plumbing didn't just do an incredible job on a difficult, extensive repair; they did the unthinkable. After finishing the work, they told us they'd decided to write off the ENTIRE bill to "pay it forward." I cried and cried, so completely stunned by their altruism. In a world where costs are rising and things feel uncertain, the Christensens showed us that human kindness is still the most powerful force there is. They didn't just fix our main water line; they saved our peace of mind and changed our lives forever. If you want to support a business with a heart of gold and unmatched integrity, look no further.

They provided a detailed bid, with parts needed and hours for the installation, all at a reasonable price. They showed up at exactly the time stated and worked hard for the two days of installation. Due to needing to reroute the inside water heater fuse box, they had to come back for two additional short periods. They did not charge us for the extra hours beyond the quoted price. Fair price, good work, excellent company to work with. And really nice guys, too. Other companies that gave us bids were extremely high with no details. One didn't even come to the house, just gave a number on the phone.

He was honest in telling me that he could not get to me for sure on Fri, and if he didn't he would for sure on Monday. I didn't even get a phone call telling me they couldn't come. Then I call Tues. and had to leave a message on their machine, which saya they will call back that day, and still have not heard from them by the next Fri. This attitude seems to be common among most of the contractors of any type in Pocatello, if it is not a new build. They all just seem to want new builds or big paying jobs, little things needs fixed, good luck!

Though they completed remediation, they failed to complete remodel work and have refused to acknowledge Homeowners' existence or issue refund for 9 months. In short detail: After claiming remodel would take one month to complete sans any delays from outside contractors, Elite was only on-site three days during the first three weeks. They failed to cover any furniture despite assurances before work began and discussion after work began, placed screws on furniture and boxes on screws, damaging personal belongings, performed poor quality work that required demo and redo by alternate contractor, promised to be onsite every day until the job was complete after Homeowners' multiple complaints and still no-showed, and then told Homeowners Carpet One was unable to install carpet for one month so the job would be further delayed. Upon Homeowner's call to Carpet One, they were able to install carpet within two days. When Homeowners called Elite Restoration to discuss this discrepancy, Tim Fries, at Elite, said "I don't have to deal with this. We're walking off the job." Elite has refused to respond to emails or phone calls despite Homeowners' outreach to all levels of management and desire to settle matters outside of court. Without response and/or refund of $10,000 for poor quality work requiring repair and work not completed, Homeowner is now left to sue.

They were prompt, professional, friendly and efficient. What I appreciated most was that they kept me advised every step of the way. In our first project they repaired a sagging porch with water damage. As more damage was discovered, each time they thoroughly explained what they had found, laid out all of our options, let me know what they personally would do, and then respected my choice, even if it wasn't what they recommended. I now have a truly beautiful, well constructed porch thanks to them.
